I made the 2 placemats tote...with the wrong size mats ...wrong thickness tape..and used staple gun for the handle snaps. Girl! It came out fabulous!!! Even my husband was extremely impressed at how extraordinary it was. Take a bow!

I already have some DT place mats, was in there a couple hrs today and didn't even think to check for new designs! I love the rooster one you showed us!!! I was focused on their nice variety of wrapping papers because they will do nicely with other projects you've taught us. After I put back about 7, I still purchased 24 rolls of wrapping paper! I recently turned 69 and I sure hope I live a lot longer so I can use all my card making craft items and make all the wonderful projects you've ttaught us to make for ourselves and for gifts or for sale. The coin purse is going to be perfect to put our granddaughter's gift card in for her 'moving up' to Middle School. Just in time...the moving up day is Monday. Every time I go into the $ Tree, I head straight to the placemats. Love these instead of using the middle snap I put the sticky tape and it worked great so I only used two snaps. I also used the tape on the little ones so when you open it the tabs lay flat.. I love your ideas...
Sherry, I have really enjoyed the placemat projects a lot. But I have a terrible time with the rivets. I tried your way and that doesn’t work for me. With that being said I showed the coin purse to a co worker and she suggested making the side flaps longer and then fasten it with just the one rivet in the middle. I got it to work and I love it. Now I don’t have to worry about those darn rivets. I wish I could add a picture to show you.
Hi Sherry. I hope everything's fine on your end. Today is the first day of shopping for non-essentials after the 3rd emergency provincial lockdown. Loved the clutch. The pattern looked similar to the women's wallet that I made (in suede leather) as a child for Mother's Day. Extremely hard to stitch into suede leather with plastic flat thingy (the ones which kids made as friendship bracelet). Anyway, my mom loved it so much that she replaced the plastic with thread & beads. She even stitched the word 'Mom' at the front of the wallet & added a fabric lining to protect the suede. Anyway, thanks for your time to teach us & have a wonderful day/evening/weekend! ^_^

Creative Genius at work! I adore this project, Sherry. I hope you bought 2 of that rooster placemat as I think I know what you are going to do with them. I won't say here, want to see if I'm right. Don't want to spoil it. Something I discovered is that one can sew on the placemats. So I will sew all around these for even more interest.
