I'm that person who comes across beautiful pieces, but to keep from hoarding I toss. What a great way to re-purpose outdated beautiful calendars. Girly, when do you sleep? Keep 'em coming
I was a public school teacher for many years. I used to cut the calendar graphics, as well as greeting cards into seasonal and thematic jigsaw puzzles for my classroom .
I am an oncology nurse in a hospital. I have to work this 2022 Christmas. I wanted to come up with something to give both my patient’s and my coworkers gifts. This idea is beautiful! I will make 8 of these boxes (I have some of held on calendars.. the rest I can get) for my RN,s… little smaller (guess I will do the math on dimensions) for 6 techs… I only need to figure out something smaller for my 6 patients for that day. I will fill them with my gnome ornaments, and goodies. So thank you for you inspiration…..
That's a cute idea. I Just made dividers out of my old calendar for my 3 ring binder. I put a pretty cardstock on the backside using my sticker maker to stick them together and then laminated the whole thing, They are super sturdy and I LOVE them!
BRAVO!!!! This craft was wonderful. You fooled me. I thought you were going to take a box from the Dollar tree and cover it with the calendars. Instead this video could be called build a box from calendars. I got a big chuckle. Thanks for this wonderful idea and sharing it. Have a great day 👍🏾😃🫂
Such a beautiful box 😍 my craft world has exploded in the past couple of weeks. I can't wait to make some of these boxes. No one in my area sells stuff like this. Thank you thank you.
I have framed some of the calendar pictures and hung them on my wall before. I love the calendars. I buy lots of them from dollar tree. Also thrift stores are a good place to get super cheap calenders to repurpose. I use em to make greeting cards, scrapbooking, pictures for the wall, and I have dabbled in using small sections of the pictures to make resin coated key chains, the backs of clocks. So many fun things to do with them. 😄
I wish you had been my art teacher all we ever learned in art was to draw things and I really did not do good at that but this stuff you're showing I know I can do it thank you very much I plan on making Christmas boxes
So many things to love here! This is creative, fun, practical and frugal - which I love! It's so great to make something out of what I already have! I have so many old cute calendars that I just didn't want to get rid of! (My husband will thank you!) I love that you are thorough, straight forward & clear. I watch a lot of paper crafting videos and there are different things that I learn from each person's style & techniques. I didn't know about Reptile glue or your awesome finger blade before watching your videos! Everyone uses different things which makes it easy to compare products and then decide what I want to go purchase. This idea is so great and opens my mind up to other uses for calendars! Like you said - gift bags, notebook covers, or someone else said - dividers for binders or dividers for recipe boxes & organizing, also envelopes... the list goes on! THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU DO! You are talented and generous with your time and efforts! People who say stupid and rude things are just jealous of you and what you do or they are simply bored and have no manners! Keep doing what you're doing- it's great!!
Love love love it! I thought you were going to cover an existing box, but no, you made the whole beautiful box! How inspired you are! I am loving your channel!😘
Such a great tutorial Sherry! I was given three 2022 calendars, all with different pictures that would be awesome for this project! Thanks Sherry for sharing your ideas and techniques!😊😅🎉
I hoard beautiful paper etc, now I know exactly how to repurpose those pages. Thanks a mil for sharing and your tuts are só user friendly, thanks for that as well🇿🇦
super cute. have lots of free calendars thank you for the clever ideas. you must be thinking of paper crafts all the time to come up with all the ideas.
I’ve always used my old calendars (as well as the tones that I’ve been given) for making envelopes and they turn out so beautiful. Who wouldn’t love to receive one in the mail, right? Thank you so much for this wonderful idea, now I have another great use for all these gorgeous pictures!
Never thought about making your own double sided paper either with a calendar print or a sheet of thin pattern paper. Can’t wait to try this. Thanks so much.
I save the calendars that I've used to keep track of birthdays, when people visited, etc. But when the year gets on a bit, pretty calendars get cheap My local bookstore gave me 2 gorgeous ones in 2021!
Someone may have already suggested but you can use the small pictures on the back and put on magnets or small frames. Nothing goes to waste. Love your box idea!
I cleaned out the closet in my office yesterday and found several old calendars. I fished my two favorites out of the recycle bin and am ready to use them. Great idea!
Hi again Sherry, This is awesome as I’ve got quite a few old cat calendars that I’ve I refused to throw away and now I have my reason to keep them and put them to good use. Thank you love for continually sharing these awesome ideas, you are one truly amazing lady.
This is beautiful, I love this idea so much. There has been tons of calendars I have kept and this is a sweat way to use them and create something beautiful as a gift. This could save a lot of money on gifting small things. Thank you so much for always sharing your great ideas with us. May God bless you tons.
I love that this will save those beautiful calendar's from just being seen as a calendar. I have had a couple of calendar photos mounted for wall hangings.
Great idea Sherry. Those calendar pictures are too pretty not to use and that's an awesome way to use them. My son Chris was watching your tutorial with me and said it was awesome. He said to ask Miss Sherry if she would do a video using the grid calendar side of the calendar using the birth month of the recipient to make a gift bag for their birthday gift, circle their date and use the other squares to write in Happy birthday. I told him that you'd be fascinated that he was getting into it!!! I really like this project. Its pretty and ingenious. Thank you!
Oh my, I have saved a lot of calendar pages & wasn't sure what to do with them, I just liked the pictures & just couldn't discard them. Now I'll look back at your box videos to see what size I can make. Some of my calendars are rather small, but am sure they can be transformed to a box. Be well & TYFS
Creativity. Ohhhh my goodness another great project. You keep me running to dollartree. Thank you sooo much. I'm waiting for you to announce your papercraft classes.
