@@beatzdyer I dont know if you ever learned this and its pretty late i know but Prompto is actually really useful for bringing desense down on his opponents and Ignis is amazing for imbuing Noct with elements. All characters were created to support Noctis in some way. Prompto with ranged suppressive fire, Ignis with his cooking and the fact he could imbue you with elements, and Gladio was basically a massive human meat shield that's good for AOE attacks.

Prompto was my favorite character too. Every time I hear him do the classic FF victory fanfare it puts a huge grin on my face.
