@@ginette.kofigahI had braids for a bit to try and ended up liking the them so much that I kept them in for 2 years…now wanted them out and I CAN NOT take it out 😭😭 I lost lots of my hair from taking out ONE strand!!
@Liz11228 oh no🫢 I reallyy they come out for u dayumn! Remember it's important to let your hair breathe especially if it's synthetic hair you're using because it has chemicals in it that aren't so benefical for us after a long period of time, plus you would need to have your hair washed well at least once a month and that can't be done with braiding hair in. The overall health of your hair won't be good if you don't let it breathe for at least 2-3 weeks every month your using the braids.
So sorry that your hair got cut! An idea for next time is to cut way down the left of 2-3 braids and undo those as a tester, just to get a general idea of how long your hair is in the braid - then you can cut closer to the correct length for the rest.
Gurll even when i was bald headed with 2 inches of hair sticking out my scalp, I still cut them braids to the very tip as if my hair was the damn weave
7:03 my hair sheds crazy in just two weeks! I thought it abnormal but if I left my hair in braids for 4 months, I'd have a similar size handful. So don't feel too bad🙂❤
Hey gir! So sorry about cutting your hair + the breakage I experienced so much breakage from knotless braids & I only had them in for 5 weeks, not to mention they took some of my edges with it! No, it was not tight and not the takedown process - I was extremely gentle. This is a hairstyle I don't recommend to people with fine hairstrands like me - learnt this the hard way😭 I don' know if your hairstrands are fine as well but putting out there for others to know & be mindful of The knotless braids looked bomb though
This is exactly why I don’t do long braids with extensions anymore. It broke my hair off. Yes you will have shedding but I was having breakage and everything in between.
I was so frustrated for the past 3 years thinking my hair wasn't growing but literally would cut my braids to my chin before taking it down. It just dawned on my a few months ago that I've literally been CUTTING my hair after every braid style. Now I'm sticking to wigs and if I decide to put in braids again, I will be mindful of the take down.
Ladies please don’t keep braids in for that long. 4 months is way too long. 1 month is the max so you can keep your hair healthy. Shampoo and deep conditioner for all types is essential.
expensive or not I do my daughter's and I just took them out last night after 3 months....one month is 1 persons opinion lol we are not all the same.. And I washed her hair during and moisturized every morning before school. She hardly has any hair loss or shedding not even a handful ❤
@@tridiaun1667glad to hear that worked out for her. For a lot of women it doesn’t work. Take the info that can help you, leave what doesn’t work you. 😊
@Yeaaaah_z Not necessarily, possible yes that can be not for all...but Not necessarily all...most just don't know how and ignorance is Bliss! 🤷🏾♀️ I almost thought this was your video receiving this notification 7 months later! 😂🤦🏾♀️
Damn sis were yog washing your hair weekly with the braids in? I think this is an unusual amount. I keep my braids in for 3+ months however. .i redo them in between so as time goes theyre freshened up. Did you see lots of short hair around the perimeter of your box braids? Same texture as you :) and strand thickness i believe
Its insane how the styles after we cut the braids slap so hard!! Its as if to say 'look at what you are gonna be missing out on'
It literally tries to pull you back in 😩
Exactly…

@@LydiaParks-ro8kf yes I’ve done much better taking it out than before 👍
Shedding is natural. 100 strands per day is the norm. So imagine how much you accumulated during 4 months. Love yours vid shorts btw

Thank you so much I’ll definitely try that!!
I’ve had my braids in for over a month now and I am dreading seeing the shed hair😬😒 shout out to you for getting through this😰
How much shed hair did you end up having?
@@Coco_xoxoliterally a hand full😞 but the length my hair grew just made me forget all about it🥰
@@catsallabouthair😂😂😂 Love this!💖💖
Going on my 3rd month taking them out next week. I have very thick full hair. So I shed more then most. So don't be scared we are all different 😌

Yesss! Show us the gunk! Lol. I love these closeups!
Same but I was also relaxed so it may have looked different since the shed hairs were straight and not poofy

I had twists in and I had a whole sink full of hair come out ! I had them in for 2 months !
10:13 that's the same question I ask myself everytime I take down my twist. Like "Is my hair shedding faster than its growing 😅!?"
Honestly your a vibe 💕 definitely subscribed
Your hair is so long 😍
Thanks! It grew so much I was so shocked!
Can't wait for your new vids✨
Love this one so much !

idk even when i was younger and had styles for 4 months or so i never had this much shedding.. idk what happened...
I never get single anymore. They always lock / mat after 6 weeks
How do you make sure the braid doesn’t get frizzy?
This is exactly why I don’t do long braids with extensions anymore. It broke my hair off. Yes you will have shedding but I was having breakage and everything in between.
U had them in for 4 months?
You need to be careful when cutting your hair because when you think your hair is short it's may not be I have done that before

you can shampoo with braids in too, i think a month is too short! braids are expensive these days

Girl braids are too expensive and take too long to put in to only wear them for 1 month 🤔

It's normal to shed between 50 and 100 hairs a day
Reality: that breakout is like my whole head😑😑😑
It was so much 😩😩
11:11 And that was just 4 months. Imagine people who have locs for years! Theyre carring around shed hair.
Fabric scissors ✂️ 😊
Aye at least your ends are freshly cut now🤷♂️😅
That’s a lot of shed hair even for 5 months
Keeping braids in 4 months is a definite NO!! They look really unkempt and dirty at that point. 1 1/2 to 2 months is max!
Maybe it’s because you didn’t blow dry your hair before getting the braids done? Idk I’m so late🤣
She left the braids in 4 months lol yes you will loose hair she could be allergic and she would need to give more detail.
maybe stress ...
That too or vitamin d deficiency
Collect the shed from each day every monthfor 4 months and then we wont be surprised your hair is also very long. So sad u cut it
Wow your hair is extremely damaged. I know I’m late but that’s a lot of shedding. Your hair should’ve been stretched before the braids
