After trying out so many machines my favorite electric machine is the Empress Mini by Anna Griffin. The main reasons I love about it are the small footprint, I can pick it up and store it with ease, It DOESN'T warp the plates like the Gemini, and you can cut into the clear plate or the magnetic plate. Plus the plates are cheap to replace and if you cut into the magnetic plate you will only have to replace that and you keep your clear plates looking brand new. The only thing I don't really like is the color of the machine but that is it!
Love my Cricut machines, too. I have found the Joy Extra is my go to for all my DS cutting. My Sizzix switch is my other favorite…it always gets a work out. Great job explains all the pros and cons❤
I had my Big Shot machine for years and loved it. Then I was gifted the Stampin Up machine (large and small) and I felt obligated to use those so gave my Big Shot to my daughter-in-law 😢. I had the Cricut Expression, pretty much only used it for flowers, then Grumpy bought me the Explorer Air 2 so I sold the Expression. I very seldom use it, I actually don’t know how to use it very well, so I don’t. Then,last year my son bought me the Brother Scan N Cut and I’ve used it once. I need a class in it. I also have the Gemini Jr. Not a big fan. So I have all these things and use the SU die cutters the most! Crazy! Hugs❤️🦋❤️🦋
I totally agree that one is not better than the other. I have both kinds and both have their pros and cons. Even having one of each type you may learn that other brands have different capabilities, pros and cons. I love all of my machines for different reasons. Great comparison video, Deanna 🩷
I have the Big Shot Plus and I use Big Shot plates in it when I am cutting smaller things. The Big Shot plates fit sideways in the Big Shot Plus so you can use both sizes in the machine.
Silhouette had there portrait out first then Circuit came out with the exact same thing shape and everything, but named it the joy. I love my silhouette portrait. I have 1 electric and 2 manual cutting machine and always uses the manual ones, before the electric ones. TFS!!
Dies or embossing folders! I have a Big Shot and a Cuttlebug. I also purchased the Sizzix machine that embosses only. I rarely use it anymore. I have a Cricut Maker and a Brother Scan and Cut. You can use the BS&C without a computer, but I usually use if as glorified scissors. I use the Maker for things I create.
Beautiful flower. I still have my original cricut and all the cartridges🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️. I also have a cricut maker. I do like the quick access of my big shot for quick projects❤
You are RIGHT they do whoops a lot on the Gemini Junior, a few ladies that I’ve asked about it they told me that it does. I Love my Sizzix Plus and have Extra and use it A lot and I have Switch Sizzix Love it very much and have extra Plates🥰🥰
The only thing bad about having a Cricut, I have the Explore air 2 is if you don't have access there isn't much in the free section. I had access for awhile then wasn't using my Cricut to much to justify paying for access. Now I may need to get it back as I am doing more with cardstock. Thanks for the input on the Sizzix Big Shot

Plates are consumable for manual machines. I always wait for a sale somewhere. The bigshot or a like machine is a staple for cardmakers. I have never owned a cricket. My stamp and die collection is massive. A lot of crafters have both. I use a Switch because of shoulder injuries. It works well for me so I won't buy another machine unless mine dies.
I have had a cricket explore for three years and still haven’t used it. I don’t know what to do. I wish I had someone close to me that could show me how. I a slow learner and don’t remember as well as I used to since my stroke.
Did you know that you can link your old cartridges to your design space profile by calling customer service and taking pics of the front and back of each cartridge in a group of 10. That way you don’t lose the money you spent on those cartridges. That way your sister can use the actual cartridges on the expression and you can use those designs on design space on your account. I would really call and link them. Get your sister to take a pic of the cartridges front and back in a group of ten and then call customer service to get them to link them for you. Just a helpful hint. 😊Mercy

A quilling tool will help with rolling flowers. You get a tight roll and it helps you keep it from unrolling on you. Thanks for the great video!

I use the spellbinders platinum mostly but do have a cricut air as well as Gemini mini for traveling
