- On the Croatian island of Brač, made famous by a triangular beach called Zlatni Rat, there is a picturesque stone village called Pučišća.
In 1909, a school was founded in Pučišća to train professionals in the fine art of stonemasonry - an art practiced on Brač for millennia. The school, known locally as the Klesarska Škola, is a great educational opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs to learn how to produce high-quality, hand-crafted work in a world increasingly driven by cheap mass-production.
Join Tricia and me as we explore this quaint village and witness the stonemasons in action as they strive to perfect their craft.

My grandfather was a stonemason from Pucisce Croatia.
Wow! Very interesting Lyuba. What types of masonry projects did he do? Did he stay in Croatia, or did he use his skills elsewhere?
