I'm practically the opposite: am well into solo games, but have grown tired of trick-taking games (after being in a night-owl online spades league for almost 20 years). So when I heard about a solo trick-taking game was being crowdfunded two years ago; I was intrigued, researched it and ultimately pledged for a copy. Still have yet to unbox the game (amongst a mountain of other ones), but looking forward to giving it a play soon. :)

The game is amazing but the Card Quality is perfect. I would pay extra for a game if they made every card with this material. It feels great and eliminates the need for sleeves

I adore For Northwood! It is TOUGH to win, but you are right: when you do, you feel super clever. For me, it is up there with Friday as a great solo only game. I wish they would publish Friday with updated art and plastic cards like For Northwood!

I tried Friday about a decade ago and didn’t like it. Maybe I’ll give it another shot. With the basic setup (4 Jacks as the Allies) I haven’t gotten a perfect score a couple times

@@TheGameBoyGeeks Ditto. The Jacks help a lot. But I am not getting anything better than a 30% win ratio (I just count a perfect score as a win). Great reviews. I enjoy your style. Keep it up. Friday... takes some getting used to. I did not love it for two years before rediscovering it.

@thinusconradie4297 For some reason Friday didn't seem like a game I would like, but then I saw a retheme of it as Scott Pilgrim.. so now I need to look into it again :)

@@ConstantChaosGames It is fair to say the original theme is... okay, and the art is awful. A new edition is overdue.
