    Jerry Stiller is a great actor, forget comedian. His business as he talks about the little chicken, asking whether you hunt the bird, and his gestures while asking about having sex with the hen... I mean it's just brilliant.

    So glad Jerry Stiller rewrote the part of Frank. He was supposed to be a bald wimpy character but Stiller knows comedy too well to just accept the role unless it was on his terms.

      I saw an interview with Mr. Stiller where he said he was told to be a meek husband to his wife when he was first hired to work in Seinfeld, but he said he couldn't keep silent to her nonsense and just had to scream about it. That's how his character was born in that show!

    I like how, every time George tries to make pleasant, normal conversation, someone shoots him down. First, Susans's dad at 0:08, then Frank at 1:36

    The use of Merlot is funny for a more subtle reason. Merlot is considered a relatively inexpensive wine, _especially_ for a family like the Ross's who have...many, _many_ moneys. By serving it at what I presume is their first dinner with the parents of their daughter's future husband, the Ross's are implying that the Costanzas are not worth wasting good food & drink on (of course, not serving the marble rye was the more obvious sign, but I'll go to my grave believing that was an accident on their part).

    It always baffles me when I meet people that “don’t like Seinfeld.” I don’t know how you can watch this scene and not laugh hysterically. It just doesn’t make sense to me.

    I don't know what the hell is wrong with this show but every second of every episode is a goldmine of comedic and theatrical perfection. Never was there a bad episode or one bad scene or line of Seinfeld. ❤

      I thought about that too at the time. But then, remember when the Ropers got their own show? Too much of a good thing becomes stale and repetitive fast, which is what happened to the Ropers - they should've stayed on Three's Company. So the Costanza's not getting their own spin-off was a good idea, if it ever was one

    a great spinoff of seinfeld would have been all the old people in Florida, you could have had the Costanza's moving into Del Boca Vista then you have Jack Klompus, Mandobaums, Seinfelds and other great old age characters.

    With the Cornish Game Hen, Frank is actually right and George is wrong. It's literally just a tiny chicken. In fact, it's usually the same exact breed as normal chickens. They just slaughter them when they are still young and small.
