It is always so easy when the pricing is good isn't it? The art store I went to had a 25% sale on Amsterdam products which is probably one of the reasons why I was so enthusiastic about treating myself! 🤣 But like you said Diana, it WAS my birthday! 😉❤️

February birthdays unite! 🙌 Happy belated birthday! I also have a February birthday and received lots of art supplies by my family, husband, and even coworkers (well, I gave them all lists with links). I mostly got watercolor supplies and a bunch of markers and inks for calligraphy. Art supplies make for the best gifts, don't they?! I'll probably get two or three TH-cam videos out of my new supplies, too. My Mum uses Acrylics and she loves the Amsterdam paints, but I think she only has the standard ones. How does their Expert line compare? Do you feel a difference when using them? Btw, glad I'm not the only one dropping stuff during the filming process. 😂 Have lots of fun with your supplies!

Thank you Fiona! 😘 Yes, the Art Creations / Talens sketchbooks I am using have white paper. I think it's the cork ones, and the sketchbooks with the printed patterns on front. There is a LOT of discussion in a few Patreons and on TH-cam about how the white paper is different in use to the cream paper, but I have no issues with it. Most who complain are complaining about how it doesn't work nicely with watercolor paints, perhaps I'm not affected so much by it because I use pencils over the watercolor layer... 🤷♀️

There is also a version made with watercolour paper allowing someone to attempt to put that whole antique feel into the paints. I obviously have that too 🙄🤷♀️ Have I felt brave enough to desecrate it? Nope! How long have I owned the watercolour one? Argh, actually... the TINY sketchbook I did my December and January challenges in was a SMALL talent sketchbook with cream paper... and upon reviewing it, the paper feels exactly the same in weight and smoothness, it's just the color is different. I haven't personally had any issues with the white paper pilling with watercolors, gouache or brush pens, but I know others have. Perhaps I'm just super light handed when I use them? 🤔😍

I do actually miss treating myself to new supplies and sharing them here on my channel, but realistically, I should put the money saved towards a much needed holiday instead! One that doesn't involve any work for me or my other half! 🤣
