I just don't understand how adults dare to hate this teenager. Don't they remember their emotionally state in 17? She's been trained since she was 3, she skates every day, broke her legs, got hurt, brings female FS on the new level but at the most important competition she's second again. Not every adult could deal with it. I wish this people imagine their child in her place. They must be so ashamed for bullying a teenager.

Even with 5 quads she can't win gold medal..i think it because her quads not solid..always with shaky landing ...if she focus about 2 or 3 quads but do it perfectly ,i think she can win the gold..
Ohhhh im sure she did actually !! Eteri really knows Sasha and even if it’s the first time I’m seeing her that upset (and it’s breaking my heart because I truly believed the gold was for her) it’s not the first time she is crying because she feels like she failed herself. This kid had high expectations and is very emotive. Eteri always said it, « Sasha, well Sasha we don’t have to ask her to do anything. She is a very very happy kid always joking and smiling but also very emotional. »
I really feel for her. I’m still in shock she didn’t place gold . She was always cheering on her team mates in the past. I miss her energy and smile. Her free skate is my favorite program the energy she brings to it. My heart breaks for her.

Her coach Eteri fault. Actually she don't have to do 5 quads, her coach said 5 quads will definitely land you gold or something like that i heard. She can go safe and do a clean program. It hurts so much that she didn't get gold. But i am still hoping her to participate in Milano Cortina 2026. She will be 21 only she is still young.
the poor girl, imagine working all those years only getting bronze and then for your peak you get silver... it was a good skate, today she probably skated the best program she did in a while, getting a personal best, and even then it was not enough. A silver is nothing to frown about in the Olympics! Anna S didn’t make any noticeable mistakes in both programs-she skated clean and deserved to win. Trusova stumbled a couple of times in the free skate and fell down in the short program. She just needs to be real now.
I get where she is coming from. She was over-looked in the team event (Kamila skating both programs). If her and Anna had skated in the Team event, there would not be a question. She then attempted the 3A in the Short here and fell, if she'd done a clean double axel and a clean short, she may well have got the gold. Her Free was not entirely error free, but it is the best I have seen her skate internationally. I guess she felt 5 quads, switching back to Eteri, buying Eteri a dog, coming back from injury (she got injured earlier in the season), and then silver - well, I can see her perspective. Have to say, I get it.
Either one of them would've given Russia a clear win in the singles category, I personally feel like they should've taken Trusova because of her international experience and her ability to land the quads. To skate your personal best but to still come up short of the gold, although I had preferred Anna's performance, I understand how Trusova feels. It's not just about the Olympics, she's devoted her entire life to this only to come up just short
@@mht4908 Trusova is great technically but she doesn't quite have the artistry of Sherbakova, and figure sktaing has an aesthetic and maybe even subjective component to it. Trusova would only need to up the artistry a bit and she could be a rock solid Gold medal contender in the future without a doubt.

I don't know shit about scoring, but I though trusova was way more artistically impressive than shcherbakova. if anything, it looks to me like her weak point is the technical, namely multiple landings that weren't perfwct. her performance looked more fluid than she normally does though. shcherbakova looked really boring by comparison, and not in the make everything look easy way that valieva normally does.
And Sasha's never won first-place at any senior competition. She isn't the first woman to land a quad at the Olympics because her team snubbed her for the team event. I think she has been feeling that ROC/coaching team/judges all favor her teammates over her, and that burns. This is probably a long-held build up where she kept thinking "if I could just add more quads," and it kept never being good enough for the judges. And it all just finally came to a head for her. There's a reason she tried to leave team Eteri and get somewhere the attention could be solely on her, she just realized there's no bonus points under that name and got forced back.
@@Ass_of_Amalek Trusova's free was lacking a lot of transitions and choreographic complexity between the jumps. She was mostly just stroking with some crossovers, whereas the others had turns and other elements in between the jumps and spins. So while the quads certainly racked up the points, she's definitely lacking the skating skills that the rest of the field has, which is something that could be improved. None of Eteri's squad have good jump technique, either - they rely on their upper bodies and backs to get into the air rather than their legs, and it results in injuries. Medvedeva was definitely the worst example, but they all struggle with heavy prerotation, cheated landings, correct takeoff edges (especially Lutzes) and sometimes getting off their toe picks, turning toe jumps more into edge jumps. None of the Russians are aspirational in terms of technique, but skaters like Kaori Sakamoto are much better examples.
Trusova is only 17 years old and has been working her entire life, stop critizing her. I've gone through the same thing as her🤷🏻♀️ I was told I was to be the Valedictorian and gold medal of my Class, and before graduation all teachers told me so...but then HOURS before graduation they told me it wasn't me in front of everyone. I was almost the same age as Trusova, and I cried until I slept...I've never went to receive my silver medal at school and hated everything and everyone. LET HER BE. SHE IS A CHILD.

Sasha took a long time to win at the Olympics, she almost always stayed 2nd or 3rd and believed that if she jumped on the OI five quads, she would become a champion, but it didn't work out. Alina Zagitova and Evgenia Medvedeva left the sport due to the fact that they do not do quads. Sasha Trusova, Anna Shcherbakova, Kamila Valieva, Alena Kostornaya were the first to do this. So do not write them off ahead of time. Time will tell how it will be.

She only came back once Eteri accepted under certain conditions. Sasha is with Tutbridze because she is the perfect coach for a young lady like her. Since her 12th she is saying that everything that is not gold is loosing, she was a child used to gold. And in senior she feels let down. So she is upset which is something I can understand but with all these muscles hear me out the girl who changed ice skating is not ready to stop yet. She is already aiming for the jumps with five rotations.
It's not just about stress or whatnots, Sasha is hungry for a gold medal. A gold medal she still isn't awarded to ever since she debut as a senior. She's the Quad Queen, but she's always had to settle for a silver and bronze.
Ive always thought sasha has been underscored compared to anna, she isnt as artistic as anna, but her jumps and spins are so gutsy they are a 10/10, but I guess landing 4 quads in 1 program isnt enough for the judges. The rules of the sport have to change, or else this is the future of figure skating
@@compilation7782 That's exactly the thing, though. She doesn't have the artistic ability of Anna. Her skating and choreographic abilities are not as strong. Not saying she can't work on it, but currently, as an overall, she's the weaker of the two. Well, maybe not weaker, that's not a great word in regards of two highly competitive athletes. Less well rounded. And figure skating isn't just "who do the most jumps with the most rotations", that's just one aspect, or it would be jump skating. There's no figures being skated either, but you get my point. I'd love to see Sasha evolve her artistic side more though, she is still so young, I'd love to see her both do the jumps AND the artistry. That would truly be something.

There will be lesser quads and lesser injuries. The thing with russian injuries is the girls never seem to be able to bounce back. With the exception of tuktamysheva.
This is so sad. Imagine the amount of stress and abuse that's happening behind the scene - Sasha is clearly at her breaking point. I hope that if she decides to remain in competitive skating, that she's able to switch coaches. Everyone of them deserves a coach that puts them first.
She should have won since she threw the most quads. When Adelina won over Yuna, they said because “she had one more triple.” But now that Sasha got second and Anna first, they say it’s because Anna has better PCS and presentation. ISU is such a joke.

There are places around the world where figure skating is extremely popular. It’s an extremely hard sport. There’s a lot of stress, hard work, a strict diet and no life besides practice and competition. She worked her whole life for a few minutes on ice at the olympics. I have watched her performances over the years and she truly is a gifted girl. She is built for this sport and has done so much at such a young age. Of course she will be pissed if she doesn’t win, especially because she just set the world record for the highest technical score and didn’t win because of the artistic part. In my opinion, she truly is one of the best and most talented figure skaters to ever exist. She’s just 17! Her life isn’t easy. She goes through so much. Not winning is very frustrating for someone who spends their entire life working on their dream, every day, for hours on end. I really do think she deserves to be an olympic champion!

Tutberidze the coach has publicly stated that "200g of extra weight means 200g of laziness" when referring to her students gaining weight. THATS HALF A POUND. This woman notoriously starves her child aged students so they remain light and thin enough to make those jumps, but then that leads to their bones becoming more brittle and prone to break (causing irreversible damage sometimes) and these poor girls to have body image issues. And they think it's all for a gold medal that even if they did win, would essentially mean the end of their career by the time another 15-17 year old comes by

If this Olympics has shown anything, it's making clear how insanely difficult the situation is in Russia's FS ladies field (specifically Tutberidze's camp). There was already so much drama in that field, minus Valieva's recent problems. If you had been following these ladies skating careers, you would understand why these emotions are so intense. My heart goes to them all.
Let's be honest. We really don't care about the reasoning the Russian coach was yelled at. We just are happy she was yelled at, and for that Trusova gets a thumbs up.

in the u.s. saw all this happen half an hour ago, watched the last girl fall multiple times felt bad for her. in my eyes they all did their best. then she was sitting and started crying i was like oh no. then they all cried as a man when a woman cries well i'm emotional makes me cry to hear about how she was railroaded and mislead made me furious its an olympic travesty. the one girl like i'm not going to the podium i was like wow. very sad. hope they all feel better but they are kids 14 to 17, to me they children. this should never have happened. i give all of those skaters my prayers and love hope they feel better.
I'm pretty sure she'd been crying since Anna's scores came up and she realized she was in 2nd. Then to see Kamila finish 4th and Anna win--I think that did it. In her mind she probably didn't think she could be Kamila but if she landed all of the quads she could at least beat Anna. So for Kamila to shockingly finish off the podium, had Sasha placed in front of Anna, she (Sasha) would have won. It's almost like it was worse that Kamila lost b/c it was like that was Sasha's only shot...and once again she finished behind Anna.

15-17 лет все ещё ребёнок. Хоть и физически сформировавшийся, тем более, спортсмен, но все равно не способный на эмоциональный контроль. Думаю, команда Тутберидзе отлично это знает, и это не первый прецедент, но медали и пьедестал важнее всего. Надеюсь, что у них есть хороший спортивный психолог, потому что подросткам в таком недетском напряжении обязательно надо помочь. Саша, плачет, что её незаслуженно обделили золотом. Зато, вошла в историю спорта как первая, кто выполнил четвертной тулуп.

как раз таки видно, что психолога у них нет и не было. Вышла, расплакалась, наговорила гадостей, ну хоть не материлась. Каково Ане Щербаковой такое слышать? А возможно во время тренировок её пичкали успокаивающими препаратами, а это норма в современном спорте, на олимпиаде от них пришлось отказаться из-за пристального внимания, вот и получился синдром отмены.

Why is everybody litterally hating on her because of this? These skaters are put in so much pressure and for the fact that her own parents is not here to watch her is even worse. She cried because of the pressure she was in and the miss of her family and dog. In fact, she was only 4 points from winnning the gold medal. I would cry too if I was her. She also starves her young students to the point that some don't even have their first period until years after they're supposed to.

Диета в спорте это неотъемлемая часть , так каждый грамм даёт сильную нагрузку на суставы. В спорте всегда так было. Но почему-то все только сейчас об этом узнали ))) смешно. В любом виде спорта диета, строго отслеживали калории. Вы себе рисуете картину Этери монстром , но по факту тренер должен быть строги и утешить вовремя. Вот она идеальный тренер. Всё в себе считает. Сейчас никто не хочет долгой карьеры , так как это адский труд весь год ездить по соревнованиям и не иметь личной жизни и пространства и это я не говорю уже о том что физически это тяжело. Я на своём опыте знаю . А месячные сбои бывают у всех и не только у спортсменов. Поэтому это всё ерунда. Смысл поднимать волну . Почему бы тогда вообще не запретить детский спорт ? Вы думаете там нет диет и нагрузок ?
@@ksu1557 you just have to look at her history. first of all, these girls are kept underweight, that's just a fact based on her comments on dieting. it's not normal! not to mention these girls naturally GAIN weight once they hit puberty, a process this coach is very eager to avoid. Medvedeva said herself that she wasn't allowed to drink water during the olympic games because she didn't want to put on extra weight. that's not normal! and the fact that they are expected to practice and perform while having *spine or neck* injuries is insanity. many of these girls still want to keep competing but they physically cant anymore.

One of her gripes is that she's never won gold at an international event, despite her technically superior programme. However, her component scores are not good enough, which is something she can work on, improve and become a champion/gold-medallist. She's probably upset because of many issues we don't even know about.
What I don't understand is why they're getting inflated technical scores to begin with AND why the ISU glorifies them. Last I checked, Ice skating wasn't a jumping contest. It goes by another name for a reason: ice *dancing.* All I saw from Trusova was a session of jumps. She skated like she didn't care about anything else except those jumps. I don't think she should have even gotten silver. Awarding the gold to Anna however, I think is fair. If Trusova cared more about the artistry, she'd have had a good shot at the gold - if Nathan Chen is anything to go by. Not to mention Nathan looked like he was having a blast on the ice. Idk, the female Japanese ice skaters have gotten on my radar. I'd like to see them shine in 2026, and have more than one of them get on the podium. Especially since Sakamoto and I think Wakata are older than 18. They have the potential for longevity.

На пп она думала только о прыжках, а где пластика, где руки? Да, прыжки удались! А против таких, как Камила, ей не выстоять. Камила катается мощно, как полноводная река, без суеты, красиво! А Анечка - каждый пальчик в деле, все работает, она не катит в разбеге от одного прыжка к другому, там пустого места нет! As much as Sasha is a jumper herself, Eteri is also partially at fault for coaching Sasha to be primarily a jumper. With plushenko we saw Sasha show the more musical side of her because he paid her more attention.
I’d like also to add that while Sasha was the first to cleanly land quads, kamila will now be the one to be remembered for landing them at the Olympics (and likely to also be mistakenly thought of as the first lady to land them in general). Whether it was Eteri’s or Rusfed’s decision to have kamila represent roc at the team event, I still find it incredibly unfair to Sasha who was the first.

In my opinion, she deserved to be 2nd, I understand her frustration but this sport is called figure skating, not jumping on ice and that’s why Shcherbakova won under the circumstances. It’s a matter of two sets of markers and the elements are often forgotten.
People who hate on her, should look into women's skating a little bit and Eteri's choaching too... THIS WAS PROBABLY HER LAST CHANCE TO COMPETE IN THE OLYMPICS Eteri breaks down the girl by the age of 18-19 and always comes another one to replace them. She breaks down their bodies (not letting them eat, drink, not teaching them propar technique etc.) Very sad Of course Alexandra was frustrated, she did a spectecular program and didn't win (and where she comes from, the gold one that's matter)
Her emotions are valid! She is a teenager, constantly getting gaslighted and manipulated by her coach who keeps telling her that all she needs to do is jumping quads endlessly to win a gold medal. Her coach made her believe that her worth as an individual and an athlete relies on the color of medal she got. No wonder she snapped out, the mixed feelings of disappointment, stress, and hurt is too much for such a young girl. I bet those who made fun of her will also lose their shit altogether if they were in her position.

Для медали нужна стратегия, а не я прыгну первая пять, возможно на них выеду, а вы пять не сможете. Ну и что, что пять!!!! Этого для золотой медали оказалось мало. Она не может этого понять. Потому имеет что имеет. Короткая, где нет четверных ни один раз доказала, что Саша выезжает на соревнованиях только на количестве баллов за четвёртые. И чем их будет больше, тем баллы будут выше. Она свято верит, что это единственная верная стратегия. Выезжать исключительно на них, фактически наплевав на все остальное.

I think Shashan’s silver medal at the Olympics is a great achievement that so many only dream of, as is Kamila’s fourth place finish. However, I believe that the age limit for peak sports should be 18 years, then the athlete would be legally responsible.

Well, she landed 5 quads, a feat far eclipsing any other performed in the entire history of figure skating, and she didn't win. How is this even a sport? Imagine Tom Brady outscoring the opposing team 100 to 40 and losing the Super Bowl because the other team's 40 point were scored more elegantly. Absurd on its face!!
The medals are not awarded based only on the free skate. She came in 4th in the short program. In the free skate she got the highest score of her life and the highest score in this competition, so the judges were fair. It's not like she got screwed on the free skate scores. If she wanted gold, she needed to do better than 4th in the short program.
Figure skating is not only about jumps. The artistry and quality of the skate also form a good chunk of points and Sasha's free skate program was lacking in those areas. If jumps were everything then anyone with good jumping could just play bland music, skate boringly and just do jumps all day. Also she came fourth in the short program which dragged her down.
I don't think people understand how much this girl has been through. She's been with her abusive coach for years, constantly getting injured and starved all to get an Olympic gold. And when she put in her all and gave the performance of her life, she still didn't get that gold. To her, it's like all that effort is wasted and her dreams stolen from her. If you worked all your life for one thing and lost it by 4 points, you'd be pissed too.
Only one person can get the gold. That's the nature of the sport. If we have to make exceptions because of age, then maybe there needs to be age restrictions, because it's unfair to give special treatment and considerations to some competitors over others. We should not be having to talk about age at all. As for Trusova, she fell behind Anna by 5.60 points in the short program, and that did her in. Congratulations to Anna.

Sorry but Sasha's skating lacks the artistic polish of Scherbakova and Valieva. She is a good jumper but made a couple of mistakes on her landing. The judges made the right call in awarding Scherbakova the gold.
Why they picked such a hard piece of music for Sasha? If the music was much more relatable I think she would have improved her interpretation. They sabotage Sasha, I'm happy she's telling off those coaching monsters!!!

This is so sad to see. These poor girls have been through so much in the past week, emotions spilled over. Даже с падением 3A даёт больше баллов чем исполненый 2A. Саша могла выйграть и с теми прыжками, что она исполняла. Её ошибки на 4T и 2A+3T как раз сделали её серебряным призёром. Ей не хватило именно этих баллов до золота.

По вашей логике Саша и Камилу (при ее чистых прокатах) должна была превосхрдить (три четверных, да еще и тулупы). Но это фигурное катание, а не чемпионат квадов. Здесь оценка комплексная. И кстати, по технике, у Ани на месте одиночных Сашиных четверных были каскады, а разница не прям уж большая, особенно, если лутцрит смотреть. I don't think she should be hated for this. She has never shown any signs of bratty/unprofessional behavior before this meltdown, she's always taken her losses very well and with grace. I think the reason she broke down like this was because she was promised by everyone around her that she will win gold if she lands those 5 quads, which she did (though she stepped out of the 4T and got en exclamation point on her 4F) but in the end, it was still silver at best. She was also overlooked from being put in the team event even though her falling once or twice wouldn't have made the difference since her technical base score was so much more ahead of others

Eteri really knows Sasha and even if it’s the first time I’m seeing her that upset (and it’s breaking my heart because I truly believed the gold was for her) it’s not the first time she is crying because she feels like she failed herself. A silver is nothing to frown about in the Olympics! Anna S didn’t make any noticeable mistakes in both programs-she skated clean and deserved to win. Trusova stumbled a couple of times in the free skate and fell down in the short program. She just needs to be real now.

I get where she is coming from. She was over-looked in the team event (Kamila skating both programs). If her and Anna had skated in the Team event, there would not be a question. She then attempted the 3A in the Short here and fell, if she'd done a clean double axel and a clean short, she may well have got the gold. Her Free was not entirely error free, but it is the best I have seen her skate internationally. I guess she felt 5 quads, switching back to Eteri, buying Eteri a dog, coming back from injury (she got injured earlier in the season), and then silver - well, I can see her perspective. Have to say, I get it.
Either one of them would've given Russia a clear win in the singles category, I personally feel like they should've taken Trusova because of her international experience and her ability to land the quads. To skate your personal best but to still come up short of the gold, although I had preferred Anna's performance, I understand how Trusova feels. It's not just about the Olympics, she's devoted her entire life to this only to come up just short
@@mht4908 Trusova is great technically but she doesn't quite have the artistry of Sherbakova, and figure sktaing has an aesthetic and maybe even subjective component to it. Trusova would only need to up the artistry a bit and she could be a rock solid Gold medal contender in the future without a doubt.

I don't know shit about scoring, but I though trusova was way more artistically impressive than shcherbakova. if anything, it looks to me like her weak point is the technical, namely multiple landings that weren't perfwct. her performance looked more fluid than she normally does though. shcherbakova looked really boring by comparison, and not in the make everything look easy way that valieva normally does.
And Sasha's never won first-place at any senior competition. She isn't the first woman to land a quad at the Olympics because her team snubbed her for the team event. I think she has been feeling that ROC/coaching team/judges all favor her teammates over her, and that burns. This is probably a long-held build up where she kept thinking "if I could just add more quads," and it kept never being good enough for the judges. And it all just finally came to a head for her. There's a reason she tried to leave team Eteri and get somewhere the attention could be solely on her, she just realized there's no bonus points under that name and got forced back.
@@Ass_of_Amalek Trusova's free was lacking a lot of transitions and choreographic complexity between the jumps. She was mostly just stroking with some crossovers, whereas the others had turns and other elements in between the jumps and spins. So while the quads certainly racked up the points, she's definitely lacking the skating skills that the rest of the field has, which is something that could be improved. None of Eteri's squad have good jump technique, either - they rely on their upper bodies and backs to get into the air rather than their legs, and it results in injuries. Medvedeva was definitely the worst example, but they all struggle with heavy prerotation, cheated landings, correct takeoff edges (especially Lutzes) and sometimes getting off their toe picks, turning toe jumps more into edge jumps. None of the Russians are aspirational in terms of technique, but skaters like Kaori Sakamoto are much better examples.
Trusova is only 17 years old and has been working her entire life, stop critizing her. I've gone through the same thing as her🤷🏻♀️ I was told I was to be the Valedictorian and gold medal of my Class, and before graduation all teachers told me so...but then HOURS before graduation they told me it wasn't me in front of everyone. I was almost the same age as Trusova, and I cried until I slept...I've never went to receive my silver medal at school and hated everything and everyone. LET HER BE. SHE IS A CHILD.

Alina Zagitova and Evgenia Medvedeva left the sport due to the fact that they do not do quads. Sasha Trusova, Anna Shcherbakova, Kamila Valieva, Alena Kostornaya were the first to do this. So do not write them off ahead of time. Time will tell how it will be.

She only came back once Eteri accepted under certain conditions. Sasha is with Tutbridze because she is the perfect coach for a young lady like her. Since her 12th she is saying that everything that is not gold is loosing, she was a child used to gold. And in senior she feels let down. So she is upset which is something I can understand but with all these muscles hear me out the girl who changed ice skating is not ready to stop yet. She is already aiming for the jumps with five rotations.

It's not just about stress or whatnots, Sasha is hungry for a gold medal. A gold medal she still isn't awarded to ever since she debut as a senior. She's the Quad Queen, but she's always had to settle for a silver and bronze.
Ive always thought sasha has been underscored compared to anna, she isnt as artistic as anna, but her jumps and spins are so gutsy they are a 10/10, but I guess landing 4 quads in 1 program isnt enough for the judges. @@compilation7782 That's exactly the thing, though. She doesn't have the artistic ability of Anna. Her skating and choreographic abilities are not as strong. Not saying she can't work on it, but currently, as an overall, she's the weaker of the two. Well, maybe not weaker, that's not a great word in regards of two highly competitive athletes. Less well rounded. And figure skating isn't just "who do the most jumps with the most rotations", that's just one aspect, or it would be jump skating. There's no figures being skated either, but you get my point. I'd love to see Sasha evolve her artistic side more though, she is still so young, I'd love to see her both do the jumps AND the artistry. That would truly be something.

There are places around the world where figure skating is extremely popular. It’s an extremely hard sport. There’s a lot of stress, hard work, a strict diet and no life besides practice and competition. She worked her whole life for a few minutes on ice at the olympics. I have watched her performances over the years and she truly is a gifted girl. She is built for this sport and has done so much at such a young age. Of course she will be pissed if she doesn’t win, especially because she just set the world record for the highest technical score and didn’t win because of the artistic part. In my opinion, she truly is one of the best and most talented figure skaters to ever exist. She’s just 17! Her life isn’t easy. She goes through so much. Not winning is very frustrating for someone who spends their entire life working on their dream, every day, for hours on end. I really do think she deserves to be an olympic champion!

Tutberidze the coach has publicly stated that "200g of extra weight means 200g of laziness" when referring to her students gaining weight. THATS HALF A POUND. This woman notoriously starves her child aged students so they remain light and thin enough to make those jumps, but then that leads to their bones becoming more brittle and prone to break (causing irreversible damage sometimes) and these poor girls to have body image issues. And they think it's all for a gold medal that even if they did win, would essentially mean the end of their career by the time another 15-17 year old comes by

If this Olympics has shown anything, it's making clear how insanely difficult the situation is in Russia's FS ladies field (specifically Tutberidze's camp). There was already so much drama in that field, minus Valieva's recent problems. If you had been following these ladies skating careers, you would understand why these emotions are so intense. These girls normally should just be competing in a High School tournament. But they are already in the Olympics.

The winner of the gold medal was decided even before the game.
Sasha was sure she won gold after landing 5 quads. But was shocked to see the scores.
I'm pretty sure she'd been crying since Anna's scores came up and she realized she was in 2nd. Then to see Kamila finish 4th and Anna win--I think that did it. In her mind she probably didn't think she could be Kamila but if she landed all of the quads she could at least beat Anna. So for Kamila to shockingly finish off the podium, had Sasha placed in front of Anna, she (Sasha) would have won. It's almost like it was worse that Kamila lost b/c it was like that was Sasha's only shot...and once again she finished behind Anna.

15-17 лет все ещё ребёнок. Хоть и физически сформировавшийся, тем более, спортсмен, но все равно не способный на эмоциональный контроль. Думаю, команда Тутберидзе отлично это знает, и это не первый прецедент, но медали и пьедестал важнее всего. Надеюсь, что у них есть хороший спортивный психолог, потому что подросткам в таком недетском напряжении обязательно надо помочь. Саша, плачет, что её незаслуженно обделили золотом. Зато, вошла в историю спорта как первая, кто выполнил четвертной тулуп.

Why is everybody litterally hating on her because of this? These skaters are put in so much pressure and for the fact that her own parents is not here to watch her is even worse. She cried because of the pressure she was in and the miss of her family and dog. In fact, she was only 4 points from winnning the gold medal. I would cry too if I was her. Hopefully this stops the people hate on her. Shes just a kid.

She also starves her young students to the point that some don't even have their first period until years after they're supposed to.

Диета в спорте это неотъемлемая часть , так каждый грамм даёт сильную нагрузку на суставы. В спорте всегда так было. Но почему-то все только сейчас об этом узнали ))) смешно. В любом виде спорта диета, строго отслеживали калории. Вы себе рисуете картину Этери монстром , но по факту тренер должен быть строги и утешить вовремя. Вот она идеальный тренер. Всё в себе считает. Сейчас никто не хочет долгой карьеры , так как это адский труд весь год ездить по соревнованиям и не иметь личной жизни и пространства и это я не говорю уже о том что физически это тяжело. Я на своём опыте знаю . А месячные сбои бывают у всех и не только у спортсменов. Поэтому это всё ерунда. Смысл поднимать волну . Почему бы тогда вообще не запретить детский спорт ? Вы думаете там нет диет и нагрузок ?
@@ksu1557 you just have to look at her history. first of all, these girls are kept underweight, that's just a fact based on her comments on dieting. it's not normal! not to mention these girls naturally GAIN weight once they hit puberty, a process this coach is very eager to avoid. Medvedeva said herself that she wasn't allowed to drink water during the olympic games because she didn't want to put on extra weight. that's not normal! and the fact that they are expected to practice and perform while having *spine or neck* injuries is insanity. many of these girls still want to keep competing but they physically cant anymore.

However, her component scores are not good enough, which is something she can work on, improve and become a champion/gold-medallist. What I don't understand is why they're getting inflated technical scores to begin with AND why the ISU glorifies them. Last I checked, Ice skating wasn't a jumping contest. It goes by another name for a reason: ice *dancing.* All I saw from Trusova was a session of jumps. She skated like she didn't care about anything else except those jumps. I don't think she should have even gotten silver. That should have gone to the bronze medalist Sakamoto (who also knows what good sportsmanship is, being the first to immediately hug Anna in congratulations for her gold medal). Awarding the gold to Anna however, I think is fair.
If Trusova cared more about the artistry, she'd have had a good shot at the gold - if Nathan Chen is anything to go by. Not to mention Nathan looked like he was having a blast on the ice.
Idk, the female Japanese ice skaters have gotten on my radar. I'd like to see them shine in 2026, and have more than one of them get on the podium. Especially since Sakamoto and I think Wakata are older than 18. They have the potential for longevity.

На пп она думала только о прыжках, а где пластика, где руки? Да, прыжки удались! А против таких, как Камила, ей не выстоять. Камила катается мощно, как полноводная река, без суеты, красиво! А Анечка - каждый пальчик в деле, все работает, она не катит в разбеге от одного прыжка к другому, там пустого места нет! As much as Sasha is a jumper herself, Eteri is also partially at fault for coaching Sasha to be primarily a jumper. With plushenko we saw Sasha show the more musical side of her because he paid her more attention.
I’d like also to add that while Sasha was the first to cleanly land quads, kamila will now be the one to be remembered for landing them at the Olympics (and likely to also be mistakenly thought of as the first lady to land them in general). Whether it was Eteri’s or Rusfed’s decision to have kamila represent roc at the team event, I still find it incredibly unfair to Sasha who was the first.

In my opinion, she deserved to be 2nd, I understand her frustration but this sport is called figure skating, not jumping on ice and that’s why Shcherbakova won under the circumstances. It’s a matter of two sets of markers and the elements are often forgotten.

Her emotions are valid! She is a teenager, constantly getting gaslighted and manipulated by her coach who keeps telling her that all she needs to do is jumping quads endlessly to win a gold medal. Her coach made her believe that her worth as an individual and an athlete relies on the color of medal she got.
No wonder she snapped out, the mixed feelings of disappointment, stress, and hurt is too much for such a young girl. I bet those who made fun of her will also lose their shit altogether if they were in her position.
She was programmed to win at any cost and she lost. Have no empathy for her cuz they made her that way. Sort of like a foster kid. Wasn't their fault but they became a monster.

Саша легендарная, но очень нестабильная фигуристка. Любой ее прокат это случай. Она не работает на медаль, а на авось будет медаль. А это разные вещи. Для медали нужна стратегия, а не я прыгну первая пять, возможно на них выеду, а вы пять не сможете. Ну и что, что пять!!!! Этого для золотой медали оказалось мало. Она не может этого понять. Потому имеет что имеет. Короткая, где нет четверных ни один раз доказала, что Саша выезжает на соревнованиях только на количестве баллов за четвёртые. И чем их будет больше, тем баллы будут выше. Она свято верит, что это единственная верная стратегия. Выезжать исключительно на них, фактически наплевав на все остальное.

The medals are not awarded based only on the free skate. She came in 4th in the short program. In the free skate she got the highest score of her life and the highest score in this competition, so the judges were fair. It's not like she got screwed on the free skate scores. If she wanted gold, she needed to do better than 4th in the short program.
Figure skating is not only about jumps. The artistry and quality of the skate also form a good chunk of points and Sasha's free skate program was lacking in those areas. If jumps were everything then anyone with good jumping could just play bland music, skate boringly and just do jumps all day. Also she came fourth in the short program which dragged her down.

I don't think people understand how much this girl has been through. She's been with her abusive coach for years, constantly getting injured and starved all to get an Olympic gold. And when she put in her all and gave the performance of her life, she still didn't get that gold. To her, it's like all that effort is wasted and her dreams stolen from her. If you worked all your life for one thing and lost it by 4 points, you'd be pissed too.
Only one person can get the gold. That's the nature of the sport. If we have to make exceptions because of age, then maybe there needs to be age restrictions, because it's unfair to give special treatment and considerations to some competitors over others. We should not be having to talk about age at all. As for Trusova, she fell behind Anna by 5.60 points in the short program, and that did her in. Congratulations to Anna.

Sorry but Sasha's skating lacks the artistic polish of Scherbakova and Valieva. She is a good jumper but made a couple of mistakes on her landing. The judges made the right call in awarding Scherbakova the gold.
Why they picked such a hard piece of music for Sasha? If the music was much more relatable I think she would have improved her interpretation. They sabotage Sasha, I'm happy she's telling off those coaching monsters!!!

This is so sad to see. These poor girls have been through so much in the past week, emotions spilled over. This is so similar to USA Gymnastics where they were abused, forced to compete on injuries, starved, yelled at, screamed at, and even doped for their performances (Shawn Johnson was given adderall to keep her weight down and energy up when she tried to come back for the 2012 Olympics). These abusive styles no doubt create champions, but they also destroy the lives, bodies, and mental health of these kids. All these adults should be ashamed of themselves for doing this. The adults are so focused on the accolades THEY get for producing champions and couldn’t care less about their athletes.

Я болела за Сашу. Но у Анны очень сильный характер, умение сгруппироваться и желание выиграть! Есть такое выражение "выигрывает тот, кому больше всего нужна победа. Анна сильно хотела победить, а Саша говорила, что это для неё не важно, а важно 5 квадов выполнить. Так и вышло... Если бы подошла обдуманно, то сделала бы двойной аксель, и золото, скорее всего, было бы её..
Даже с падением 3A даёт больше баллов чем исполненый 2A. Саша могла выйграть и с теми прыжками, что она исполняла. Её ошибки на 4T и 2A+3T как раз сделали её серебряным призёром. Ей не хватило именно этих баллов до золота.

По вашей логике Саша и Камилу (при ее чистых прокатах) должна была превосхрдить (три четверных, да еще и тулупы). Но это фигурное катание, а не чемпионат квадов. Здесь оценка комплексная. И кстати, по технике, у Ани на месте одиночных Сашиных четверных были каскады, а разница не прям уж большая, особенно, если лутцрит смотреть. Так что истерить не стоит, нужно радоваться серебру и такому историческому достижению, это ж круто.

I think all 3 Russian girls skate beautifully, truly talented. I’am sad for Kamila, I loved watching her perform you simply can’t take your eyes off her… she becomes part of the song, a ballerina on ice “elegance in motion.” I wanna thank her for the delight she has given us all. I hope she continues to perform. ❤️

I don't think she should be hated for this. She has never shown any signs of bratty/unprofessional behavior before this meltdown, she's always taken her losses very well and with grace. I think the reason she broke down like this was because she was promised by everyone around her that she will win gold if she lands those 5 quads, which she did (though she stepped out of the 4T and got en exclamation point on her 4F) but in the end, it was still silver at best. She was also overlooked from being put in the team event even though her falling once or twice wouldn't have made the difference since her technical base score was so much more ahead of others

@@kolosovatata1048 однозначно!!! Поэтому она и первая! Тихая, спокойная терпеливая, интеллигентная и очень сильная! После чемпионата России как уж её травили, не хуже чем сейчас Камилу. С разницей в том, что Анну свои травили и это вдвойне тяжелее. Камулочку вся страна поддержала, а Анюту далеко не все. Анечка не просто классная и талантливая спортсменка, она Человек с большой буквы уже в 17 лет!

Женя ей в 2018 тоже самое сказала. Не нужно цепляться к словам. Просто они все едут побеждать, их много, а первое место одно.
Этери наобещала когда от Плющенко назад зазывала ,что сделает ее оч а сама даже в командник не поставила. Ей не надо было уходить от Плющенко у него он была прима при любом раскладе.
Так же и Женя ей сказала. Когда выиграла Загитова. Надо побыть в шкуре человека который пишет историю фигурки и ему занижают, обидно, вот и выброс эмоций.

Вот сегодня увидела первый раз. Могло быть тоже самое. Радоваться надо, что все прлучилось и серебро в кармане. Камиле тоже вешали медаль заранее, а вон что получилось. Вечно тренер виноват. Не она же оценки выставляет.

Она понимает, что это её последняя олимпиада, так как у Тутберидзе они поставлены на конвейер и каждый год появляется новый талант, пока старые ломаются под натиском нечеловеческих нагрузок на ещё не окрепший организм.
А как Вы думаете достаются медали ? Именно так с большим трудом травмами и это во всех видах. И дети до 14 не меньше занимаются. Просто шумихи большой вокруг фигурки. А почему ? Потому что как Вы говорите "конвейера" 100% олимпийские у России есть.
@@ksu1557 в спорте есть труд и пот ради медалей, но везде есть грань. Когда тренер буквально калечит спортсмена, как это ранее было в СССР с Корбут/Мухиной, а сейчас с фигурным катанием - это ненормально, это эксплуатация. Неужели вы действительно считаете нормальным заставлять ещё ребенка выполнять сложнейшие элементы с травмой на уровне перелома ???

I think that Eteri is finally relieved that it is all over, this has been too much, and normally no skater was able to focus fully.
