    I also love my Clarity. Six years after it's debut, it's still the best PHEV.

    Dude.. I love my Clarity! I plan on keeping mine for as long as possible... been driving mine for 4+ years. 2018 Touring Model.

    Owned mine for 4 years now, still can’t find a PHEV or EV or an ICE to replace it in terms of range, room and value. Yes, love the look too, reminded me of the iconic Citroen CX. Too bad, Honda doesn’t make it anymore, I was hoping they would update it with a hatchback. Lastly, my gas expense is about $30 per thousand miles at $5.35 last time in CA.

    Managed to find a new 2021 Touring at MSRP in the midwest (rare sighting) before it got snapped up. 9 months in and I wouldn't trade it for anything. King of the daily drivers! It's a great choice to wait and see which direction things go in the coming years (lithium ion, solid state, fuel cell, something else?).

    I've been driving my '18 Clarity for just over a year and would also give this car a ten out of ten! I think it's odd, however, that in Canada, where I live, the Touring model wasn't available with power seats! The only other difference, that I can tell, is that the US model has a flip-up cover for the rear cup holders and mine doesn't.

    Love this car! I finally drove one this weekend, and this is the one (we were trying to decide between the Volt, Clarity, and Escape plug-in). Now to wait for used car prices to come down and hope that my 200k mile Prius doesn't die in the mean time...

    I really appreciate the *flavor*, humor and real-world news “tell it like it is” style of your delivery. This is an exciting car that most Americans will fail to appreciate - not me though, I just bought a used 2018 model! Can’t wait for it’s delivery.

    So I'm looking to buy a clarity and this video and comments definitely made me feel better. I commute up to 3k miles per month so I definitely want something sustainable. And I'm also 6' so comfort is huge on my list. Thanks so much!

    Bought ours new, 3 years ago. i am 6'2" and 270; It is easy to enter and exit, plus I can sit comfortably in the rear seat. Currently we have 43,000 miles on the odometer. In summer it will charge to 49 or 50 miles of electric only driving. In winter the range drops to 40 miles. We do not plan on ever selling it.

    • @SJCDAVE
      @SJCDAVE 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@tonny1924 We continue to love ours. Approaching 60,000 miles on the OD. No problems, just regular maintenance. Averaging well over 100 MPG, we are retired so no commuter miles. Mostly around town on battery only. We get 300 miles on a tank of gas (7 gal) and full battery when on a road trip.

    Dude great review and you made it funny too! Nice job! I really like this car. Might consider buying a used one soon. I know I’m many years late but I had no idea this car existed.

    Would you get this or the 2018/19 Hyundai Sonata limited plugin hybrid? Thanks in advance.

    • @pinnacleevreview629
      @pinnacleevreview629  ปีที่แล้ว

      The range and "quality" of the clarity would still put it at the top of my list.
      The quality part comes from the clarity was built to be a alternative fuel vehicle. While the sonata was already a gas sedan then they modified it to be a plugin. So things are not as fluid as they can be.

    i’m doing 20 or less mph and my acceleration sounds terrible only 34k miles i don’t know what’s wrong with them. is that a problem like is it suppose to sound like that ?

    • @pinnacleevreview629
      @pinnacleevreview629  ปีที่แล้ว

      The only sound under 20 Mph should be the Pedestrian warning system, other than that it should not be any noises at all. hope you can get it checked out.

    hey I'm wondering 2018 clarity touring 8500 miles $28k but trade in value $19k any idea or help
    before I buy it

    • @pinnacleevreview629
      @pinnacleevreview629  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Before you buy. Please ask the seller to fully charge the clarity. Reliability is not an issue for a clarity but battery degradation could be present. Make sure that on a full charge you have at least 48 miles in mild weather 70°ish
      Honestly I'm not sure if 28k for a clarity before trade in is a good deal. I would ask to get the vehicle a little cheaper if you can. Even with those super low miles. 28k seems just a tad bit high.

      @@pinnacleevreview629 on CarMax I can but their warranty for like $1500 60 month or 150k miles they don’t haggle the price I was concerned cause of the depreciation if I pay 28k and on Kelly book the trade in value is only 19 or 20k big difference Also I checked the crv and value it’s good

    Hi - Has the Clarity been reliable ? Thanks

    • @pinnacleevreview629
      @pinnacleevreview629  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In my personal experience it has been. It's still a great car with great safety features standard and battery degradation is also very good. You can still find good deals on the cars.
