For Jack O' Lantern, there is a Zeltic legend about an old man named Jack that was infamously evil and dangerous. He lived in the middle of nowhere halfway into a long road that connected the South and North of I don't remember what country. Very much a god forsaken wasteland but travelers couldn't go by without passing by. When he was scheduled to die, the devil paid him a visit to claim his soul, yet Jack pranked him asking for a last favor before leaving: the retrieval of something important to him that was atop a tree. When the devil climbed up, Jack filled the surroundings with holy stuff (crucifixes, holy water, stuff like that). This allowed him to strike a deal with the devil where he'd live some more years and be left alone in exchange of letting the devil go. Years passed by and the time came once again for a devil visit. This time Jack was at a bar and asked for a last beer. Jack propossed to have the devil turn into a coin to pay for it so they'd get away with free beer. The devil liked the idea and followed through, but Jack put the coin in his pocket next to a crucifix and paralized the devil. This time, the devil promised Jack would never go to hell, and left for good. Some years passed by again and Jack inebitably passed away. Upon arriving at the doors of heaven, god told him he was a bad man and could not be allowed into heaven, redirecting him to hell. Over at hell's door, the devil told him he wasn't allowed into hell as per their agreement. This meant that Jack's soul could never rest in peace. As an act of pity towards Jack's destiny, the devil took a turnip, hollowed it, and put inside of it a small blaze of hellfire, giving it to Jack as a makeshift lantern to illuminate his path as he set out to aimlessly errand through the world forever. When Tradition got carried from Ireland to America, Pumpkins were a lot more commonplace than Turnips so the festivities replaced it, giving birth to the Jack O' Lantern we all know today. As a follow through, it is said that the evil spirit of the Jack O' Lantern was avoided at all costs, as it kept doing evil deeds to those that stumbled upon it. They were forced to choose into giving Jack an offering or accepting the "trick". Trick would translate into something like waking up with a relative or part of your crop or animals dead, your house in fire, or "fun" things like that. Honestly they didn't need the link to do that. They needed a new field spell. "Neither player can target face down monsters for attacks. If all non-link monsters a player controls are face down their opponent can attack directly." Then there would be another few effects but that's not the point the point is that effect fixes their problems. Honestly they didn't need the link to do that. They needed a new field spell.
"Neither player can target face down monsters for attacks. If all non-link monsters a player controls are face down their opponent can attack directly." Then there would be another few effects but that's not the point the point is that effect fixes their problems. Or maybe make it a continuous spell that has the links effect rather than a link monster.
4 field spells in one archetype's WAYYYY TOO MUCH EVEN FOR GHOSTRICKS
Also its fun to see what countered them being their new secret weapon
But i do admit that something that wasn't a link (like another XYZ or even some else extra deck monster) would've been better because Festival can't be affected by some ghostrick cards (like Fairy and Break)
And here we see the wild link hunting the ghost trick players.
Unironically tried getting this to KoG in Duel Links years ago
Is this archetype even worth
@@raguelcezar0013 nah its pretty bad i only did it because i got Aromage to KoG one time and wanted to win with a worse Deck
Last time I was this early Special summons were actually special
Phantom Knights archertype when?
I would love to try this deck out my favorite holiday as a deck I need.
