Excellent video. I need to learn chords and inversions. I really like the idea of practicing the I on Sunday, the ii on Monday, the iii on Wednesday, the IV on Thursday, etc.

Thank you for this video Josh. I am currently working on this exact thing and I thought it was just me that struggled with this. Even though my teacher goes over these things with me at my lessons, it is nice to have this video available to refresh my memory and to encourage me to keep working away. As my teacher says, practice makes progress!

That was very useful I am an older student who always wanted to learn the harp and never had access to one till I saw a video of a Celtic harp. I bought one and am having a lot of fun learning to play it. Got Sylvia Woods books and finally a good teacher so I have most of my bad habits ironed out. I enjoy your videos too. Keep going please thanks again Mavis

I really enjoyed this Harp Tuesday after struggling with trying to read all the notes, learning the "shapes" of chords made it so much easier ... Great Josh, Thank you. Belinda

Very, very useful! Especially for a novice looking for “easy” “quick grabs” with which to improvise... so much to learn, so much to practice! ¡Gracias!

I think the small aside: "it might take a week, it might take longer", is very important. For me it ALWAYS seems to take l-o-n-g-e-r. and I can get very discouraged and I am sure I am NOT the only one! However I also think your point about focusing on ONE progression (be it of a day or of a "week") is crucial, because as you say: "the shape is the same".
many other good point here, as always! Thanks Josh!

Thanks for the video. I have been waiting for that tip or realization out of the ethers, on getting fingers placed at once! I have noticed that I place the first finger of a chord and then the others fall into place rather than all in one and have not figured out what to do about that. Looking forward to trying looking to the middle... Always fun watching

I bought a 38 inch Irish style harp with 30 strings I got a question,, When I try to play it it wants to move sideways. It has a round back. Could you give me some advice? Its hard to hold it still

The reason I am here is I read about David playing harp when King Saul is insane and made KIng Saul be cured. So I am not okay with my negative thoughts so I can use this instrument to cure myself too:)
