I learned to read when I was 3 on Beatrix Potter stories. Thanks to my brother who put up with me waking him at crack of dawn when we lived in Essex to read to me.
Beatrix has always been and will always be ... my favorite artist, writer, gardener and intentional individual. She is both my childhood and adulthood heroine. I strive to live as she lived on a daily basis. 💚💚💚
Did you know Beatrix Potter was also a champion sheep breeder? She owned 14 farms in the Lake District, and was an authority on the Herdwick sheep breed.....
Carol is so laid back in her enjoyment of the garden. It would've been nice to see this garden in its summer flush of glory; this looked as if it was autumn and everything was looking a bit tired.
IThis video is awesome. I find todays TV very boring. But your channel is what I think is missing from mainstream TV there needs to be more programs like this, Those old cottage gardens where full of beneficial and useful plants, A world apart from the many F1 Showy but Sterile plants that produce no pollen nectar or seeds. Many old type cottage garden roses do not get any diseases but the more modern roses get black spot and all sorts of problems.
1. BBC Gardeners seem to be trained in over zealous enunciation and sing song delivery . 2. Morpheous: "What if I told you that one day.... Carol will comb her hair ?"

The garden 🪴 is beautiful! 💕💐
I love her books and she’s such an inspiration. I’m thinking about being a children’s book writer.
A very down to earth lady some people who have a lot of knowledge it goes to there heads but not with carol she general just loves plants
Such a beautiful and picturesque garden . A wonderful place to write stories.
Carol comes across as a very warm person
She's gorgeous!
She's lovely, I've met her a couple of times and she is a genuine plant enthusiast.
