Thank you so much for your videos and insight. You are not just a national treasure in England, but the world. Much appreciated from Lafayette, Louisiana.
Plum has a beautiful garden. When she hears back the interview, she will probably be kicking herself for all the times she said, Yes, Yeah.. and for all the times she spoke across Bunny. Despite this, I enjoyed the interview.
I hope Plum has seen true country American gardens when she is in America. Those in the Hamptons are such a tiny part of the gardens here. I think I started following you Bunny because your books and your gardens never seemed stuffy and were so full of nature. The first Chelsea garden that we all in this family fell in love with! The Wind in the Willows. ❤
The views were breathtaking. What a gift to be able to wake up every morning to that. It was so incrediable when i saw the horses. Thank you for showing us this garden tour I enjoy watching all of your video's Bunny!!!
I loved the chemistry between the both of you--- it comes across as two longtime friends catching up. The last conversation about the 'American gardening aesthetic' is so true. I really appreciated the insight of both of you, thanks.
This location goes way beyond a 'pleasing aspect', lol. I like the balance of plants versus space, and the architectural feeling from the stone walls, large trees, hedges, and topiary. Those of you with stone houses have the benefit of anchoring your climbers and letting them grow for decades. Here in the U.S. most homes are painted stucco or wood siding, so it all must come down for painting, etc. It was interesting to hear how the addition of umber to the window paint color changed it from cold to warm; works perfectly with the stone. Without seeing the property from below, it's hard to tell, but the wall containing the back terrace seems to work like a ha ha; unobstructed views, and unwanted people or animals kept out. The horses looked like they enjoyed their camera time. :)
What are the silver plants in the lead effect square planters at 23.21 in the video please ? There is actually an awful lot to learn in this video, especially if you watch it twice. The first time I was wondering more about the different lifestyles people lead, which is interesting in itself. Thank you
American woman here with fashion design degree and worked in the industry. Also lived in Highland Park, Dallas, mid-80s -- the mecca of women with new money who would be horrified if judged by her peers, with sneer, as "quirky" or "looks British". Translation: frumpy. The McDonalds in HP, Dallas, was where you'd find the monied mean girls taking their kids for the ball pit while they are seen, blonde bobs, perfectly made up, in their latest monochromatic cotton velour jacket and pants jogging suits.
Well, the 80's were a difficult time. Plus, I imagine the ladies of Dallas felt they had an image to uphold, with the program "Dallas" being shown all over the world. 😊
The English every p[ace they go to live build gardens . Mine 5 acres of English Art and craft Edwardian garden rooms . 14 years all built by me with help on garden folly and spire roof. I was born to love the land and farmer but now abroad plants are the thing i work on day by day . Taking cuttings is second nature . Just love Bunny and i knew her uncle David Austin well .Rose his life made if big .Yours Lord Kevin Parr
I really don't get this: if it is so supremely cool, laid-back and aloof from small-minded notions of neatness not to seal the joints in your paving, then why meticulously strip your paving of all its weed-infested glory when the lifestyle-magazine cameras turn up?
I don't know why people feel they must say something unkind. It is a personality trait I'm sure. I always think something bad is going to happen. I am definitely not a glass half full kind of person. But I do believe there are people who just must criticise and they are not at ease until they do! There are those who just want the best for people and those that just can't stand that proposition. I find the human mind and behaviours fascinating and wish to understand them better.
Hot tubs are fine if you have staff to look after them and clean them. No, it's not good to interupt and keep your sunglasses on during an interview in April (unless you have health problems.) She has "roses, geraniums" and gardeners. ---Bunny, your audio is always so awful. Please get some proper mics.
No problem with Plum nor sound recording. Adore Bunny 🐰 vids, a true natural. Much appreciated, thank you from Sweden ❤❤❤

I agree, she may have been very nervous to be interviewed...or she may be 1/2 American:). I detest hot tubs in a garden.
It's actually an old school English "yah" :) x
Mhm. British indeed

I love all the stone and the open space which allows the countryside to become part of this extraordinary space.

I've had american guests who seemed puzzled that people's clothing "didn't match." It took me awhile to understand what they meant.
I love this interview so much talking and laughter. Very interesting. Thank you.!
She's very agreeable lol. Beautiful countryside, and garden, be lovely later in year when everything is flowering.🙂
Yah!
What a stunning place. Thank you for sharing.
What a wonderful garden I love the Yew and always a big fan of burnt umbra Thanks Bunny.
Thanks again Bunny
Plum Skyes i want your garden! Also what a beauty!
This was great. I have a small garden area that is just getting planned. I was able to get some inspiration and ideas.
I love your videos but the audio really bothers me. Maybe you can change something. :-)
Yeah - love these videos but the sound isnt very good.
Bunny needs to buy some mics.
The cloud formation is heavenly.
My poor wife had to suffer these Plume types at our daughters school. Quite overbearing. I think Bunny is very patient.
Yeah, Bunny can only just about get some words in edgeways 😆
I married into a family full of women like that. Tedious.

Wow, wish my terraced house had wings
Whoever that lady is needs to stop speaking over and interrupting Bunny!
Interesting video.
Tell Plum I was by her Hamptons home with her friend Julia VN back in 2018

Bunny! Never cough into your hands! The universal accepted way is into the inside of your bent elbow!

Not getting the BP reference at all. Ya Ya ….
'Bunny' and 'Plum'?!
Blimey, how the other half lives... not in my reality at all.. 😮 we are all trying to buy food and pay our electric bills..
Albertine, really..................
Just too annoying with all the yeah’s and talking over ….made me so irritated ..poor Bunny
Plum is insufferable. Go talk to the horses Bunny!
Have to agree - shes a bit annoying. I don’t know of her and - the ‘ya’ constantly? Urgh. Horses were cute -agree.
Beautiful gardens. But hearing, “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah” about a thousand times was irritating as can be.
She clucked Ya Ya incessantly

@@robyn1170 It is just giving an honest opinion.
