I have a different one. The problem is it was left running but the air intake was blocked, so it got red hot. After that, every time I try to use it, it blows the circuit breaker Looking at it, the silver stuff between the element and the metal shroud, was burnt right through, so I assume that was insulation, and now there's a short. Sound right? Where can i get something to replace the insulation?
I would recommend that you replace the whole unit for safety's sake. The one that I replaced the wand on flaked out again. It actually flamed up doing preheating. It's not worth it. The one that I replaced the one on this video with has a digital temperature read out. Great!
Hi thank you for this video, i have AOYUE 852A+ hot air station, the internal fuse blew, i replaced the fuse on the back of the unit then the unit was only blowing cold air, i replaced the heating element (it was exactly like your old one in the video but mines has a black rectangular component (thermistor?), the replacement heating element did not come with thermistor so i installed it as it was, but the unit is still blowing cold air, i opened the unit to check for anything obvious, but everything seems okay, i really hope you can help, i'm really struggling without hot air station
I would find an exact replacement for my heating element. Another thing to doiis ohm out your wires from the heating wand to the connector that goes into the main unit. You are looking for a possible broken wire. I am a fan of replacement with exact components.
@@Patch1stripeTVParts yes I paid extra for an exact match replacement but they still sent me a different compatible version (from ali express), thanks for your help
i have the same unit but mine when turned on it heats but the air stops. but when i turned the unit off it turns air on (cooling the heater). do you have an idea on this tnx
Have you been inside the unit to check the hoses on the pump or if you have had this unit in service for a while, you may need a new wand assy. If you go into the wand that you have, be sure to seal it back up to keep your air from escaping through the cracks. This is all that I can think of with the information that you provided.
I like this guy :)
thanks
