Valerie Foster.... You are SUCH a SWEET & KIND Young Lady. My Dad was born in Dublin, Ireland. He met my American Mom when she was a Stewardess for National Airlines. My Mom lived in California at the time and soon after meeting they got married & had only me. I live in Beverly Hills, CA. My x husband left me for another woman 10 years ago & kidnapped my two sons ages 5 & 11 years old at the time. I am still so broken. I'm on Antidepressants & a litany of other meds. Well, my now amazing IRISH Husband of around 7 years & I just found my boys 2 years ago. My eldest Son whos now 22 wants nothing to do with me and calls the other woman Mom. But, about 5 months ago my now 16 year old just started calling me MOM!!! I try to love on all children as much as I possibly can. I do a lot of volunteer work when it comes to Little Ones. Seeing these ADORABLE Children with these medical problems breaks my heart. Makes me actually feel like I don't have the right to feel sorry for myself. I would change places with them if I could. I've lived my life. There lives are just beginning. God Bless you Valerie. God Bless you Little Thomas. Sarah Anne xo
The very best part? None of these kids will go untreated because their parents are poor, no family will have to chose between care & paying the rent, no family will face bankruptcy because their child got sick or hurt. THIS needs to be the case in the USA instead of the current system of greed!
Big DM why is that relevant? This is about providing medical care to all who need it. It’s a concept fostered by Australia,Austria,Bahrain, Belgium, Brunei, Canada,Cyprus, Denmark,Finland,France,Germany,Greece, Hong Kong,Iceland, Israel,Italy,Japan, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Netherland, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain,Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and more. I’m fortunate not to have needed hospital care in all of these countries but if I did, it wouldn’t ruin me financially. America could have this system too, it would make it a more compassionate society.
No, you need a Medicare card to access free healthcare, which is provided to citizens. This is paid for by rich people paying more tax, ie undo some of the ‘tax reforms’ that Trump has created for him and his wealthy counterparts. It works in most civilised countries and FYI America is not the only country that has immigrants. Have you spent time in any of the aforementioned countries? And most people have travel insurance when they travel to other countries, except to those countries who provide free healthcare to anyone who is there, whether they are a citizen or not. You can do your own research on those. And if you think it’s fair for sick and injured people to choose between housing, food or healthcare, I hope you don’t call yourself a Christian or claim to have humanity in your character.
Because no suffering means no death. No death means over population. Over population means too many people not enough resources. Not enough resources means starvation. Starvation means suffering.
I know this is an old video. This young boy with bone condition, Thomas, is charming. I am not being critical but I also hope dental plans are in the works to work on his two front teeth. They look to be his permanent teeth. Braces etc. He just seems so gentle and special
Tomas was such a wonder of a happy spirit for all he's going through!!!!Many people have been given hope from you Tomas,to take life moment by moment&love.Thanku ,and Mom,Love from U S.A.♥️
Amanda Bruce please vote for universal health care in the USA so all of your children can receive care without sending families broke through no fault of their own.
What a great young man Thomas is. He handled the operation like a trooper. Well done Thomas. You are my new hero young man. Well done to all staff at Temple Street Children's Hospital.
I hope Thomas gets to hold his Pint glass on his 18th.. The smile on his face when him mam said that.. Made me feel like hugging the two of them... Amazing little family x
As long as he wants to drink lol. I can't legally drink here in the US at 19, but a lot of kids do it anyway. I just don't care for it; I saw drunk 15 year old fall down the stairs once though. Also apparently comedian, Ricky Berwick has this too and he's in his 30's.
The viewing of videos like this, I feel guilty of being ungrateful for the life I have. It’s amazing the inner strength of children that have diseases and physical ailments, and yet they can smile and laugh.
The UK has Temple Street Children’s Hospital. The USA has St. Judes Children’s Hospital. Both countries are blessed to have no cost top notch care for children.
ProudCanadianBC4 I have a friend who worked at St Judes, he said they do not discriminate, they do not have to fit into one of the clinical trials. I don’t know about Temple StreetmChildren’smHospital.
That Thomas is such a brave a d strong young man. He will heal well and take his surgical cures far. He ku s dedicated to healing his self. A d he is so good looking as well. Well done Thomas.
Wow. Some Irish accents sound so close to American that you have to listen closely to pick up the difference. Thomás' surgeon for example. It's not identical by any means but it definitely takes time to place it.
You don't want to be stiching up a fussy toddler and mess up because they kick you while they are getting their stiches done. So for very young children you would put them under general anesthesia just for safety.
"why the hell do they say theater" ,why do Americans say "operating room" ? Surgery , Theater, we know or at least smart enough to figure out what each means. Also medical students use to watch surgeries from the "Surgery/surgical Theater" at teaching hospitals.
Precious children, I pray that Thomas never looses his bright inner light, he is lovely 😊
I am quite fond of little Thomas too! He is such a sweetheart! I hope as well that his future is bright! Such a beautiful kid!

What a wonderful hospital! Thomas is a sweet, brave boy.

I agree with you wholeheartedly!
Absolutely, and the only way you’ll get it is by voting for it. I wish you luck for the next election 💕🇦🇺
Clearly you haven't been to many hospitals outside the USA.

It’s so unfair that not everyone is born healthy and with everything normal. Wouldn’t it be so much nicer of a world if nobody had to suffer.

It will soon. Psalms 37: 9,10 13 & 29
Especially little kids.I5 kills me to see children suffering

ST. JUDE TURNS DOWN THE ONES THEY CAN'T HELP........
DOGMAN FORREAL St Jude denies treatment to no child. Look up the mission statement.

I have no problems or health issues this makes me so sad for these children I will never complain again little pure souls.
thomas is very mature. I guess he has had to be.
Thomas is such a brave little boy
Poor Kiddo! May the good Lord bless you and your family. Prayers for healing x

I can clearly distinguish the two immediately, but that's coming from an Australian with an American girlfriend.
These chilldren are very lucky to have the best medical treatment they could get. British government is one of the best😊
He needs dental help too. Poor kid
Thomas is so cute
Why would you go under general anesthesia to put a few stitches in just do it under sedation like they do with setting broken bones
You don't want to be stiching up a fussy toddler and mess up because they kick you while they are getting their stiches done. So for very young children you would put them under general anesthesia just for safety.

Why the hell do they say theather instead of surgery?
