This is undoubtedly, the sexiest thing Ioan Gruffudd has ever acted. He normally plays the adorably awkward roles but in this he's confident and smooth, more so than usual.

Have you heard him sing 'Amazing Grace' in the 2006 movie 'Amazing Grace' - so annoyed that scene ended after one verse! and then in four or five episodes he was in this show they only gave him one song and it was a duet!
Seriously, he's in this show for 4 or 5 episodes, we only hear one song and it's a duet? seriously? I' mean, they've heard him sing 'Amazing Grace' right? If you haven't, look it up, he has a lovely voice, it's always underused though.
This is the only thing I've seen her do that I really liked her in. The quality of her voice changed so much and fit the style of the song really well. Good job!

Yes its supposed to be funny, but the director said the sexual tension should be over the top and ppl realize that SHE IS NOT BARBRA STREISAND and her Fanny will not be liker hers
People need ro stop acting like anyone thinks she is Barbra and you need to understand this was a first rehearsal within a tv show not a real bway production were the director and cast would have months to work out a character.

this was bad for one reason only. it needs COMEDY. What made this song so iconic was Streisand's comedic timing and Rachel seems to be abandoning everything that makes this song great which is the humor.

Totally agree. What makes the song so great is how Fanny is trying to fight how much she wants Arnstein mixed with her own awkwardness because she lacks the self-confidence and experience that Nick has. Barbara managed to mix those two thing perfectly and it’s hard to do.

After rewatching the film and some pro-shot of the west end revival, I am slightly worried if Lea will be able to hit all the comedy this scene is supposed to have (And yes, I am aware that the choreography in this ep is different from the play/film and this was just rehearsal on the show).
yeah it was very bland here but that's mainly bc glee made all their covers pop-like and bland
