  • The Peugeot 3008 has had a facelift and looks better than ever. The plug-in hybrid version is very good if you can afford it! (which you can't - it's that expensive!)

That's a balanced review. Just a note. I bought a 2022 Peugeot 3008 GT (2L diesel) yesterday. It was an ex demo with 10,000kms on it. Top of the range except for 18" alloy wheels instead of 19". I paid $AUD42,000 (about 67K new car price)It is worth noting that 2022 is the last year of the 2.0L diesel engine. The 2.0L engine is brilliant (ask the mechanics) and it's been around for at least 15 years (with minor modifications) I agree with everything you said about the hybrid.
For Australian conditions the 2.0L diesel engine outperforms all the other Peugeot engines - They just go forever. Price of Hybrid is just over the top.
