"It has been three and half years where I've been very independent and been left alone to study to do my own thing. People say that it is impossible to do your own thing but actually, up here, and with the media out of it, it's amazing how people get on with their lives and not bother you."

"I really don't know what I'm going to do. I've hinted already at the possibility of the armed forces but it is really getting through the next few months for my exams and work - concentrating on that and taking a bit of time off, do a bit more travelling, get some work done, without a doubt Sandhurst would be attractive. That's why Harry is going as a guinea pig first - see what happens. But honestly I haven't actually set my mind on anything yet."

"We get along really well Harry and I and our father. We are a very close family. There are disagreements obviously as all families. And they're big disagreements. But when there's happy times we have a really good time. It's just difficult getting all of us in the same house at the same point. Obviously father is really busy. Harry is travelling wherever and I'm up here. It's just difficult but its all good."

PRINCE WILLIAM TALKS ABOUT HIS PLANS FOR THE FUTURE
Prince William, who has yet to decide for certain on what to do after university, disclosed that he would like to attend Sandhurst like his brother Prince Harry.
The future King of Great Britain, who is studying geography as an undergraduate at St. Andrews university in Scotland, said he would not want to "jump into" public duties too soon.
He stressed the importance of being able to control his own life and insisted that the prospect of one day being King did not keep him awake at night, but the "slipping away" of normality would be "very hard".
Frequently breaking into his broad trademark smile, the Prince told anecdotes about his life in the quiet windswept town on the north-east coast of Fife - how he was proposed to in the street by a young girl and how one old lady, not knowing who he was, stopped to ask if he knew a good place to buy underwear.
William has yet to decide what to do after leaving St Andrews in around six months' time, but said the Army would be his preferred choice if entering the forces.
He would be the most senior British royal in recent memory to attend the prestigious Royal Military Academy.
This was the first ever sit down on-camera talk William has done - showing how his relationship with the media is already having to change as he grows older.

He has the Queen Mother's eyes (him, Anne, her son Peter, Sarah Chattoo and Charlotte); he has the Queen's lips (looks cute on a woman, fey on a man), he has the same dental alignment as Anne and her son, Peter Phillips. He is a Windsor through and through although he used to have Diana's mannerism ( shyly dipping his head and peering through his lashes, but that was weeded out of him, because it made him look so fey).
I agree, he's a handsome man who happens to be bald! He can't do anything about going bald but then many men with thick heads of hair wish they could do something about not being handsome, and can't! 😂
I remember him being at St Andrews. He just got on with it and came across as down-to-earth, caring person. Then he went to Anglesey and worked as a helicopter ambulance pilot and made a positive impact there too. I don’t think we could ask for a better future king. I wish him all the very best
I went to St Andrew’s with him at this time and he really did live a normal life and was just another student. He had security but you barely noticed them at all. He seemingly walked around alone or with friends. Did his own grocery shopping etc. I lived across the street.

He and Catherine lived about 30 minutes away from us when they first married and he was an RAF Rescue pilot. I didn’t meet them, but they shopped locally and went to the pub. He liked pub quizzes. The people he worked with said he was very friendly and down to earth.

@@kdp8133 His colleagues at East Anglia Air Rescue ratted on him to the tabloids, that he was only working 20 hrs (2 days) a week. When the tabloids queried with the Palace, the Palace claimed William was working part time in keeping with Civil Aviation Authority rest requirements. When the tabloids contacted CAA, CAA said there were no restrictions on what he did in his spare time, he was at liberty to conduct a royal engagement and still work 4 days a week. When the tabloids went back to the Palace, the courtiers argued that the Queen and Phillip were okay with his work hours. FYI when it came to carrying out engagements, he was doing the bare minimum much to the chagrin of his grandparents. William was so young when he lost his mother too yet has never moaned about it. He is clearly intelligent and shy but understood his role and took his responsibility seriously. I noticed he always smiled when he mentioned his brother, he seems kind hearted and genuinely loved his brother. It’s so sad what happened.

Hal in The Hollow Crown and in The King comes to mind. The speech in front of Buckingham Palace all lit up in green as he spoke of The Queen and her legacy was incredibly moving. He is and will do something special I am sure. He knows meeting Catherine was pretty lucky and like Camilla is now, the future King will have the help needed to do some good in the World. His seriousness is an asset and there seems much of his Grandfather coming through. Boy does England need a leader right now. On housing and in child development, the future of "my people's" can and should be better. Let's hope so.
