Worked great. As per my previous comment, I just followed the instructions exactly. It was very easy. I programmed 3 key fobs for a 2013 Dodge RAM. I purchased two other fobs in case there was an issue, but they all work. The Simple Key programmer works great! Now I have 3 new key fobs for under $200. The dealer wanted $190 (fob) + $80 (to program) which totals to $270 each, or $810 for 3. Note I would have probably only bought 1 but now I have 3. No worries about a lost key though.

It worked great on a 2010 Charger. You'll need a key that starts the car. Lock,unlock, trunk and alarm button don't need to work for the programmer to program the new keys,,,it took me literally less than 4 minutes to program 2 new key fobs. All buttons work as the master key fob.
Dealer wanted $224 plus tax for each key fob made.

I ordered the Programmer/Fob kit (which needed to be prepped with the Panic/Lock hold down with flashing blue light) as well as two additional fobs (which did not require the Panic/Lock treatment).
The video shows the way. Key is to only connect the programmer into the OBD2 jack when it is needed. At the 3:10 mark he plugs in the programmer (just to show how to plug it in), but that is out of sequence. The next scene shows the programmer disconnected as it should be.
Also, the method was as shown for the fob contained in the programmer kit. But the two additional fob programming went a little different, beep-wise. For the extra fobs, my programmer beeped when first plugged in and when the button was *first* pushed. I did all the other things in sequence but the programmer didn't beep. I thought that the programming hadn't happened, but the key was able to start the car.
The video is a little unclear as to how to program the door lock/unlock. I clicked the OEM fob lock/unlock and then pressed the new fob once (nothing) then twice and I get the lock. Same thing with the unlock (once, nothing, twice it unlocks).

If so many cars with normal metal keys hadn't been stolen over the years the years (slim jim, hot wiring etc., ) the manufacturers would not have had to develop all that anti-theft technology.

Your video shows you programming without an existing key fob. However when I went to purchase it said " Requires 1 working Key". I have a 2010 Dodge Charger with a lost key. Please advise
Sorry for the confusion. At about 3:20 in the video the working key is used to start the engine. Then a spare key is made with the programmer. This kit makes spare keys. It requires one working key to start the engine to begin programming the extra spare key
When you tell me how this device gets around not using the 4 digit pin to access the security module I might start to believe this device might work.

Just bought a 2014 Ram 1500. It only came with the cut key to start it and unlock it, so no original fob. Bought the kit, it turns the truck on, but will not start it or lock/unlock. Ideas??

The truck came from the factory without the remote receiver as a base model vehicle. You might call the dealer, give your VIN, and ask if a fob can be programmed to the vehicle or if it's missing the receiver to get signals from the fob lock/unlock buttons
Why did you put the fob in backwards? My fob requires the red panic button to face left. You put the new fob in with the red panic button facing right

Why do you need 2 keys with dodge but not in your Ford video. Also if I brink my remote key for a dodge caliber into the dealership to get cut, they charge $10 each. Would this be cut more accurately than home depot or ace hardware/a key kiosk key-osk locksmith? I had a Mazda that the key barely worked on cuz it was a copy of a copy of a copy.
You only need one working key to make a2nd one with our products - and for Ford and Dodge. The dealership will only be more accurate if they cut by the key code. If they just cut by the outline of existing key, it is the same as Home Depot/Ace etc.
I got the key programmed to start the vehicle but it’s not unlocking or locking the doors. It’s a 2016 ram 1500.

I ordered another key fob after getting the kit. The first one that came with the kit, programmed great with no problems. The extra key fob I ordered to have a backup, WILL NOT PROGRAM. The blue light that is suppose to come on , DOES NOT LIGHT UP. I CAN NOT PROGRAM. ASKING FOR HELP

This means to skip the key fob activation step as it is ready for your vehicle. Proceed with the Key Pairing step and the key fob should program to your vehicle. Sorry for the confusion. These worked great for my 2014 Ram 1500. I bought it used and it only came with one fob. I've been anxious about losing it or it dying and found this inexpensive and easy solution. I got the simple key kit and an extra fob. The extra programmed very easy with no need to activate. The one in the box had to be activated. I had trouble with this one but it was user error. When they say press lock and panic simultaneously to turn on blue light activation mode they really mean simultaneously. Took maybe 10 minutes to do both keys.
What was the code for the 2014 ram 1500?

You need one working key to make a duplicate with Simple Key. Is he doesn't have that, I suggest calling an automotive locksmith. Should be less than the dealership.
I just purchased this remote. Everything worked except for the passive entry and keyless push button start. Now I have to use this as a key and not as a remote fob like intended and like my original key.

Instructions say to put original key into the vehicle & start then put in programmer. WTF my original key wont start the vehicle. That's why I ordered your stuff. Yall need to get with me cause I'm super dumb apparently
NO ISSUES programming my key. One thing, 5:26, the way it looks is that Lock/Unlock needs programming. It didn't happen with mine, I have a Dodge Journey and after programming the new key lock/unlock worked, I didn't have to do anything else. Other than that, it worked great. It looks complicated at the beginning but it is not, anyone can do it.

RAM trucks are no longer associated with Dodge. All Ram Trucks manufactured after 2008 are Ram Trucks, not Dodge Ram.

I just ordered one of these, which will be here tomorrow. My old key fob is on the blitz, and I lost one several months ago. Thought I would go this route after the dealer wants $120.00 per key fob. Have 2 done so that will be $240.00. I say OUCH, to that. Can’t wait for the kit to arrive.
I tried to sen an email but it kept saying there was an error in sending it so I will try to contact you here. This is my problem: We bought this and two keys from amazon last summer and programmed both keys. We put the old key away and each took a new key. Some times when I would start the van, it would start but the radio, blinkers, ac and such would not work so I would have to shut it off and start the van again to get them to work. I do most of the driving so I don't know if my husband's key would have done that or not. I have been using the original key since then and have had no problems.
Tonight my husband took the battery out of his to check the number on it. When he put it back together it would not work. Does this mean that he has to reprogram the fob? And will that use up one of the six fob programmings? Thanks.
That sounds very strange. I wonder if there's a slight fault in the circuit board of the fob. There is a warranty on the key if it's the one from Car Keys Express. Sounds like you bought a couple other key fobs from a different supplier. Take a look at the back of the case - the Simple Key fob has yellow lettering on the back. If it's that one that is the problem, call Car Keys Express customer service to ask about warranty. If it's one from another seller I suggest you order a new one from TomKey.com to replace it.

My key fob will start the truck but will not lock or unlock the truck. I’ve replaced the battery. Will this work for me?
Yes, as long as the problem is just something broken on your fob electronics, this will get you a working fob to unlock the doors
what is the code for Ram 2018? The manual only goes up to 2017 :(
Unfortunately 2017 is the last year covered for Ram. Dodge changed the programming communications needed in 2018

In Canada at the dealership. Cost of the key was $219 +$40 to program + tax total +$291. What a ripoff
This worked great for me, it was quick and inexpensive. I also did the back up physical key cut service. I was skeptical that it would work as the lighting in my pictures were not good but it worked flawlessly.

How come, at 5:16 , the video "jumps" as though you "edited" it. Obviously the key didn't work. Earlier in the video ( at 4:42) you said "press the button", but you were pressing AND HOLDING the button down. Is that something you're supposed to do or NOT supposed to do ? You're not being very clear on what is supposed to be done.

I had the new key programmed within 5 minutes of watching the video and putting the original key in the ignition per instructions. NOTE: The instructions advise you "MUST HAVE A WORKING KEY or Simple Key will not work". If the buttons on the existing key fob do not work, but the key will start the vehicle, Simple Key will work - and the buttons will work on the new key fob.
What if the original fob doesn't work but the actual key works? Can you program with the actual key in the ignition?
My truck is a 2016 ram 1500 sport, and its key is another kind. Can I use your kind of key. Because I can't find which key programmer of mine.

The fact u can use the tool to programme other cars is scum you’d make a lot of business people doing it as a job kinda dumb not everyone will even know about this
Thieves are a problem. But, in order to use Simple Key, you need one working key for the vehicle. So, if a thief already has your working key, your car is gone. they are not waiting around for this kit.
@@TomahawkDIY no i think u miss understood what I’m saying if someone buys this why not let them use it for what ever car and order a bunch of keys for each model copying keys for people making a little business what does it achieve just locking it to a vin people can buy a computer for 300 more then fobs for 10 each and clone keys so you’d be able to compete if you allowed the computer to work on more then one car you’d really make people buy more then one machine for every car their family has also makes no sense in that aspect as well
So what if I lost the original key and don't have any keys for the truck at all? Can I still program a new key for my truck without a working fob?
Sorry, not with simple Key. You need a dealer or locksmith for that. Once you have one working key then you can use Simple key to make more

You need to be able to start the engine with a key for this to help you make a spare key.
