- Welcome! Today I’m having lunch at the newly opened Bistro and wine bar restaurant which is located at Table Rock Centre.
My friend Henry @TorontoTechTransitTV is live-streaming also. We enjoy a delicious lunch. Henry has chicken tacos and I have the bistro burger.
The restaurant has been open for a week and it’s our first time here. I really like the atmosphere and the view is amazing. We also were lucky enough to meet the mayor of Niagara Falls, @Jim Diodoti. What a fun day!

Christine, what a great livestream! Looks like you had a great lunch with your friend Henry and you even got to smell the Mayor of Niagara lol!😂 On a more serious note, I noticed that one of your subscribers lost his wife to cancer recently and is now reminiscing the great times they had together in Niagara. Trust me, your videos do bring a measure of joy to a lot of people who for whatever reasons, cannot experience the beauty of Niagara in person. For that, we thank you!❤🙏
Hi John. Thank you so much. I didn’t plan on going live…I was going to make a video of the restaurant but decided last minute to go LIVE. I was happy you and others joined. It was such a fun day in the falls. I’m just happy if I can make someone happy with showing my walks or livestream adventures. If I make you smile then I’m happy. @@WeGoPlacesTours Your video and livestreams certainly bring a smile and sometimes hope too. Due to health issues, I have been unable to visit Niagara for more than a year. For a time, I was not certain that I will ever get that chance again. Fortunately, my condition improved and I did manage to make a visit recently. Still not 100% yet, but well on the mend! Your videos brought the sunshine indoors during that time for sure!🙏

That Bistro looks amazing! Great view from your seats! Not to cheap there!! Taps is great. Thank you for the shout out btw. The salad was a bit small. I definitely wish I was there. Hi Adam. I think you would enjoy the bistro…they have lobster roll on the menu too. The potato salad was actually quite filling as was the burger and I can’t believe I finished it lol. Great video Christine. How awesome you met Mayor Diodati! He seems like such a nice guy. I watch the City of Niagara Falls council meetings every month on youtube and he treats everyone with kindness and fairness, even his critics and political opponents.
Another person I noticed earlier in the video at 51:34 was David Adames, the CEO of Niagara Parks. That's the one I would really love to run into while at the Falls. I'd really like to have a discussion with him about the Niagara Parks vision for the future and ask him about the Parks lack of family affordable restaurants. This new bistro is a perfect example. They already have the overpriced Table Rock House Restaurant across the hall and the overpriced Queen Victoria Restaurant down the street. Why couldn't they have made this new bistro less expensive? Your burger looked good and was a decent size but the plate presentation made me laugh. $25 for that burger and little dollop of potato salad is crazy. Lol, if you showed me that plate and asked how much I would pay for it, at the most, I would say $15. I wonder what the kid's burger looks like for $15. Sad that a mom and dad with two or three kids have to spend over $100 just to feed the family some burgers.
Still, I know you are paying for the view and are helping fund the park system so even though I have some criticism of Niagara Parks, I appreciate what they do to keep Niagara Falls beautiful. I will absolutely eat there on my next visit. IF, they are open. Lol, that's another criticism I have of Niagara Parks. So many of their properties/attractions close after Labour Day. Sorry for being a negative nelly in my comments. But I enjoyed your lunchtime stream on the patio of the new bistro!

Hi Tom. Thank you so much. I can understand where your coming from. I looked up definition of bistro: A bistro is defined as a small, casual restaurant with a relatively inexpensive, simple menu. I knew before we went to the restaurant what a bistro was…I was talking with Henry about it as I walked with him that day before we got to the place. I agree it’s over priced. The burger was good…there was so much going on as we were there that I totally forgot to put ketchup and relish on my burger lol. The meal was quite filling and I did enjoy all of it.
The mayor was super friendly as you saw. I enjoy his positive attitude! I was excited to see him. I didn’t know you watch the council meetings…you know who the people are that were with the mayor, I didn’t know any of them. I’m sure your not alone with those ideas that you would like to share with the CEO of Niagara Parks. I’m glad you enjoyed the LIVE lunch. Thank you for taking time to watch. Have a great weekend. 😊🇨🇦
Thanks Christine! No, I did not recognize anyone else with the mayor. The council meetings are somewhat boring but I like to watch because they have discussions regarding the approval/disapproval of proposed development & construction of building projects. The meetings can be crazy long. The one last week was over 9 hours! So I don't always watch the whole thing live. But I do always try to catch the start of the meetings because they start out by having a citizen sing O Canada and then the mayor goes through all the community events he and other members of council attended the past month.
