This could be anywhere in the Midwest for sure! Here in Nebraska we joke about having only two seasons instead of four like most states; winter and road construction season. Some say our state animal is the saw horse, and state motto is, "one lane for next 26 miles". might as well have fun with it, because it isn't going away till next winter!
This is 2020. Covid 19 pandemic. Someone on one of my FB groups mentioned that they are in Michigan now and lots of construction going on. I remarked that that reminded me of the Orange Barrels song. She said she would look it up. I said that I doubted that it was available. Lo and Behold ! I typed it in on TH-cam and it popped up ! I used to listen to the Bob and Tom show when I was traveling and driving through many construction sites and found them hilarious. Many good memories of those guys. This was 25 years ago ! The song still gets a chuckle out of me.
@@djg5950 I listened to them too, I'm in Lafayette and we could hear them from their home station. They don't broadcast up here anymore, so back to WFBQ. Remember the Beer song?
@@MsEvafarrell Lafayette what state ? I live in NH and don't think that they were on any local radio stations. I used to travel a lot and first picked them up when I was driving thru NY late at night/early morning. I might have been able to hear them at home in NH because I remember listening to them a lot (1990's I'm thinking). I do remember a beer song and ads about Doggy Style beer. Other stuff that I can't print here on TH-cam, too. Funny, funny stuff. I still remember some of it.
If I were to guess, this is probably filmed on I 65 heading north from Indianapolis to Chicago. Usually once you get north of Lafayette, it’s road construction all the way to about hammond.
Bob and Tom had a theory a number of years ago, that there was no specific facility available to store Orange Barrels, so every couple years they would just move them to another part of the state.
Location clues at 0:21 (Exit 63 Natural State Golf Trail) and 0:27 (Exit 63 Ar Northeastern College). It's on Northbound I-55 near Blytheville Arkansas. The sign at 0:21 appears to be missing from google maps.
Im a future missionary (im mormon) and we knocked on a house, and they answered. The dad worked in construction and his coworkers (they worked for him) made this, and i HAD to check it out
I still get a kick out of how many views this stupid video has gotten and by how many of the comments are of people complaining that I credited the wrong person for the song. Heywood Banks himself even comments saying it was Todd Yohn! I'm not editing the info. If I did, people wouldn't understand the outrage in the majority of the comments. Then the responses to those comments would be, "Yeah, it's Todd Yohn. It even says so in the info. You're a douche!" :D
I saw the orange barrel people doing trash clean up on I-75 in Dayton. I laughed for the next 10 miles. Don't do the crime and you won't be an orange barrel mutant!
I have to See Orange Cones and Barrels constantly I live in Rapid City South Dakota and there are Road Closed Barricades Orange Cones and Barrels every Fuckin where because of Multiple Sidewalk and Road Construction I renamed South Dakota the Road Construction State 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
@rockinredneck57 I am amazed. I was so convinced you were wrong. I even looked it up on the Bob & Tom CD set that I have... and... I'm wrong. It is Todd Yohn! I even checked his facebook page. So, I am humbly chastised...
Please give Todd Yonn credit for orange barrels . It's not my song
Thanks
Heywood Banks
Heywoodbanks Pure class, classy TOAST!

Holy crow, it's Heywood! I know this comment is old, but 'Hey There!' anyway. Yeah, I was wondering if anyone would correct the artist attribution.

If I were to guess, this is probably filmed on I 65 heading north from Indianapolis to Chicago. Usually once you get north of Lafayette, it’s road construction all the way to about hammond.
I was listening to Bob and Tom this morning, and they played this. I've decided it's Michigan's state song.
+TMan1236 it just played when i was on smoke break! i came back and had to hear it again
yes! such a true song, no matter what state you're in.
First time I heard this I couldn't get it out of my head

Close! It was I-55 north of West Memphis, AR. I was probably on my way to Illinois that day. :)
FUCK YES!!! I WAS RIGHT! My mother and I have been arguing where it was from!!!!
This is amazing. I'm kind of obsessed with it.
I think the barrel rental company's owner is the brother of the governor.
Bob and Tom had a theory a number of years ago, that there was no specific facility available to store Orange Barrels, so every couple years they would just move them to another part of the state.
This was my entire day. Thank you for uploading. I've had this in my head all day. Much better now. ^__^

I swear I think Indiana is the Orange Barrel state.
Thank you this song was hard to find an bob and tom wouldn't play it
oh my, they played it daily for 2 summers at least!!
Damn, that has got to be INDIANA LMMFAO, they always start a million road "construction " projects and NEVER finish them until 5 years later lol
Playing this song as we are passing orange barrels
Im a future missionary (im mormon) and we knocked on a house, and they answered. The dad worked in construction and his coworkers (they worked for him) made this, and i HAD to check it out
Bob and toms a great show
That's a shitload of orange barrels. Must be filmed in Ohio. That might as well be our state symbol.

Or Michigan!
You sure it's not Atlanta?
Come to Indiana lol
Still listening to this song today lol

Roadtrip fire track
Driving down I-95 like
Yup. The closer they tailgate, the slower I go. Especially in an active work zone.
@AK6U
It is a Peterbilt, you can tell by the emblem on the front and the hood is riveted together. Just sayin':p
I run oversize. Just knock em all over and watch as the crew tries to keep up putting them back upright 😂
I love bob and tom
Much as I love Heywood Banks, this isn't him. It's Todd Yohn.
This is Todd Yohn, not Heywood Banks
I won't vouch for other states but this is the ohio theme song, Dayton to be more specific
Whoopdie-friggin-doo.
I love Heywood, but this is Todd Yohn.
Hell for a Truck Driver?... spending eternity in a one lane construction zone at 17mph behind an RV from Connecticut.

Am I the person who had this show up in there recommended videos in 2023?

I saw the orange barrel people doing trash clean up on I-75 in Dayton. I laughed for the next 10 miles. Don't do the crime and you won't be an orange barrel mutant!
This isn't Heywood Banks, it's Todd Yohn... look it up.
Gotta be Arkansas.....road projects take several years to complete
Best song in the world 100% pure funny shit
This is actually Todd Yohn.
I've seen some orange barrels
Ah, one of the state themes of Ohio-
I love this song-
I have to See Orange Cones and Barrels constantly I live in Rapid City South Dakota and there are Road Closed Barricades Orange Cones and Barrels every Fuckin where because of Multiple Sidewalk and Road Construction I renamed South Dakota the Road Construction State 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Nice job on syncing the video.
Not Heywood Banks. Credit goes to Todd Yonn for Orange Barrels.
that's i70 in Indiana just east of Indy
Looks the same as I70 in Missouri... :D Thank God it doesn't look like I70 in Kansas!
I was gonna say it looks like rural I-65 in Indiana LOL
rofl not a car...that's what you call an 18-wheeler...yer a bright one!
The shortest distance between two points is usually under construction.
That's because the shortest distance between two points gets the most traffic.
Pure Michigan
This is funny 😝
Hard to tell, but is that I-55 in Blytheville, AR going northbound near the AR/MO border? And is that a 389 Pete?
@andrew62544 Arkansas. We don't really consider that part of our country tho.
What did I just listen to?
@rockinredneck57 I am amazed. I was so convinced you were wrong. I even looked it up on the Bob & Tom CD set that I have... and... I'm wrong. It is Todd Yohn! I even checked his facebook page. So, I am humbly chastised...
There were some people standing by pickup trucks behind the barrels.
Didn't see a single Larry, Darryl, or Darrel.
I'm not dead. I'm ugly.
Must be filmed in Idaho
Kinda sad that the barrels went on for so long that even sped up it lasted as long as the song.
@jmcvay2k6 Are you sure it is Arkansas? I don't know why but it makes me think Illinois. (I live in Illinois.)
What part of the country was the video filmed?
Ugh. This looks just like I-74 between Galesburg and Peoria Illinois.
Theres not a fucking thing being done in that right lane!
Me and my dad sing this
this is i680 in youngstown, oh
I'm thinking Peterbuilt, maybe Kenworth
Michigan's state song.
Yeppers! A Large car... Peterbilt... 379? (not sure, mine had a plastic nose).
1:30 kills me
BARRELS
Snider incubators
I'm pretty sure that this is Memphis.
AGREED
This is Todd Yohn. Not Heywood.
James please credit Todd Yohn as this is his song. Heywood even commented below this is Todd's song and he is not singing it.
chunkymom, I won't find it a good joke in 2 days or in 2 years.
true that
I20 in Sweetwater Tx
red barrels
It didn't take me 2 days to figure it out. (It toke 2 days to see it.) I thought it was a rotten joke when I saw.
