That was his way of telling me that he was a fake and a phony the whole time that he was with me. He showed me a glimpse of the real him as he cowardly ran away to go play. He's still a child trapped inside of an adult body... Split between a boy and a man..

Narcissists get worse with age. And, he had gotten to the point where I couldn't take the abuse any longer. I'm actually the one who started the divorce proceedings. We used the same lawyer. He was our mediator. It's been 5 years since the divorce. It makes me sick now to even think about him. He's disgusting to me now that I know all that I know.
Honestly...divorce is an easy way out for the person who is causing/has caused the marriage to break down...fall apart...instead of cleaning up the damage... Divorce is an easy exit and way not to be accountable...leaving the other spouse trying to make sense of it all... But the true reality is...their lack of accountability...selfishness...set you free ...you just have to accept... Go through the process...embrace the healing journey...stop gaslighting yourself...trust God...and move in silence and forward... The day shall come when people are intentionally hurting others for selfish gains...we have just be wise a a serpent and gentle as a dove when dealing with people with this character...

I continued forward with not a dime left in my pocket but for me and kids we were happy . The big bad wolf was gone and then we realised he wasn’t so big just a coward
OMG, my ex-husband did that to me in 2019; he tried to get me served but couldn't because I was getting my lawyer. My lawyer called his lawyer, and he was pissed off. Then I was moving out and he threw a tantrum. I moved to another state to get away from him. He was a serial cheater, hooked on meth, and put me through so much. The divorce should have taken 90 days in Texas, and he was dragging his feet for one year and 6 months. I am at peace! My divorce was finalized on June 5th, 2020. I changed my cellphone number, got a new email address, and cut off all communication with him and his family. On 04/20/23, I got an email at work through teams that he wants to talk to me. No way in hell would I speak to that demon! We have nothing to talk about. Narcissists are crazy! His family is the same way, and I gave his last name back and moved on with my life. Narcissists are cowards!
Wow “they’re giving you the childhood they had”. I had never thought about that but that is so true from what I know of his childhood. He even WANTED to be on public assistance and would complain about me making too much money to get it, which I think was him wanting to live how he did as a child.
That explains why my ex brought up divorce during our marriage and said things like, "you need to figure out how you're going to pay for the house." He was trying to force me into silent submission. Such a sick game. All the while, he was cheating. After I caught him cheating, I waited for 6 months for him to turn in financials so that we could draw up an "uncontested" divorce which was his idea. He didn't comply with that process so I was forced to file. Then he started fighting and it cost us thousands. Illogical and torturous, just the way they like it.

What man wants to carry on the legacy of his father who was a rolling stone with kids all over the place?? Take your divorce papers and go cry about the child support you’re about to pay!
