The bushing tool is also really helpful for pushing those sleeves out if you can’t push them out with your finger.

So do we torque on the male side or the female side? Thank you.

Question please. I used the same tool to install my DU bushing. The tool smushed the end of bushing, so that the ID of the bushing is now slight smaller on the end the tool pushed it in on. I can not get my hardware/ sleeve through side of the bushing. Is that normal? Should I force the sleeve through the bushing? I have an extra, new, uninstalled bushing and it slides on and off the sleeve no problem. Thanks for any help.

DU bushings are cheap and nasty imo. Bushes in automotive applications usually need fitting by a mechanic, reaming etc.

My DU bushing from new is too tight imo. The pin needs to be pressed in. Cheap and nasty. I'm amazed yours pushed in by hand.

Is there an advantage to be using the steel DU bushing over a polymer DU bushing? I have used the polymer DU bushing with a lot of success. The polymer bushing seems to work well plus there are easy to install with out a press-fit tool.

We updated the bushings on our Sniper model to prevent any movement in the shock under load. The new bushings provide a more precise fit in the shock mount.

Do all shocks have DU bushings ? or do some have other ones ?

Some have needle bearings. I believe that is only aftermarket and at pro level. Du is cheap, durable and light.

    It looks upside down though.
