Hello, many thanks for your video, very helpful. A friend asked me for some help to find a new oem or test proofed refurbished ecu. Thieves have taken away the module of its car. As we are abroad from the U.S, I am looking for a provider to buy the correct reference module there and import back it back. The motor reference is G4FC. We'd be pleased if it be confirmed that it is the same motor ref in the video and who was the provider of the spartpart. Many thanks for your help, Kinds regards, Max
@@DCAutoEnhancement That's right, I found many second-hand devices on ebay. I will dig deeper to get a good certified piece. Cheers and thank you for your reply.
I am getting a P0130 code which is bank 1 sensor 1 02 sensor. I have replaced it, checked everything and I cleared the code and it comes back the next day while sitting in idle. I have tested all the wires and checked the ohms, checked for vacuum leaks and it does not make sense. Is wonder if it’s also my ECM.😢
@@Angel_xXx_76 I understand your frustration there still may be something causing the light other than the ECU. Exhaust leaks, poor fuel delivery from the fuel pump or fuel injection system, and engine misfires can trigger a P0130 code. These are just some additional things you can look into.
I don't, but.... That's a good video idea. I might work on that and get back to you. I would mainly show location, removal, and reinstallation. I wouldn't be putting a different one in it. Would that be helpful for you?
Hi. Great video there. My 2012 elantra has an ecu problem and it's so damn hard getting a replacement. It's 39100-2EMB2. Must I get exactly that? Coz I've been told I can 2EMB2 would suffice.
I don't know much about transmissions but the ECU isn't what I would suspect to begin with. It could be transmission control module or shift solenoid possibly.
@DCAutoEnhancement no, there is a separate TPMS receiver. You can find it online and on the parts store. The problem is that the diagram is not clear where exactly it's located.
I have an 2009 Elantra that has a no start condition I've put a scan tool on it but the ecm is not sending any codes back and the car cranks but it will not start it's getting fuel and spark and the sensors that would cause a no start condition have been replaced so I'm seriously perplexed on this one could this be a bad ECM?
The only other thing that has to be correct to run would be timing. What was the condition of the car the last time it ran? Was it running rough or smooth? If timing is the issue, it could be that the timing belt slipped enough to be far enough out of time to not run or cam position sensor and crank position sensors can cause a crank no start issue. A scan tool probably won't be able to read those properly unless the engine is running. Let me know how this goes.
I don't remember if there was one code in particular or if it was several codes that I couldn't get to go away. It could have been communication errors that made me decide to change it.
I'm thinking of replacing this part on my hyundai. Put a new alternator in and lost all power to almost everything inside the car (windows, blower) and power steering. Also, the battery isn't being charged by the new alternator.
Black smoke is usually caused by burning too much fuel. Could be bad fuel injectors or a dirty air filter. Let me know if you find the source of your issue please, it helps everyone here in the comments
Great Video and great explanation. Made this repair super easy. Thanks
Thank you for watching! I appreciate your feedback

@MdMd-p1j I don't know what engine code this vehicle was. I don't have the car any longer either. I was able to purchase from eBay.

Good afternoon. Nice video ! I would like to know, why did you change the ECM. What was the problem?
I don't remember now, it's been a while since I did this job. If I remember, I will comment back here again

@@DCAutoEnhancement I’m looking at the MAF sensor now. If I unplug it while running nothing happens. The car should shut off but it didn’t😵😵
Thank you great video. Do you have any info on the procedure of changing the BCM for 2007 Elantra?
I don't, but.... That's a good video idea. I might work on that and get back to you. I would mainly show location, removal, and reinstallation. I wouldn't be putting a different one in it. Would that be helpful for you?

That might be accurate information. I can't say for sure.
repalcing it is the easy part. finding a new one - that's the hard part. where did you get your's ? I have the 39100 - 2G281 can't find it anywhere...
I bought this one from eBay.
@@DCAutoEnhancement thx. Any encoding required ?
@@tamirtsuriel7718 no. I was able to plug in the used one from eBay and run without any programming at all.
did you have to program the new ecm or do anything to it before putting it in? or did you just buy it and install it?
I just swapped them. No programming required.
Can i use an used ECU, and would it need to be reprogram to match my car or can i just plug and play.
I didn't have to have any programming done.
Is that a common problem for elantras
My car has a decent kick when excelerating
This should not be a common issue. If you have a check engine light on, that would be the place to start, by getting the codes pulled.
Is this replacement the same as in a 2014 Hyundai Elantra??
I can't say for sure. I think the process would be very similar but the 2014 might need to be programmed to the car.
My elantra ecu is also problem.lm thinking of getting it repair.what would be your honest opinion.new ecu is 400dollars
If I remember correctly, I bought a used one for less than $100.
My auto transmission moves from 3rd Gear ,can it be a faulty ECU
I don't know much about transmissions but the ECU isn't what I would suspect to begin with. It could be transmission control module or shift solenoid possibly.
I drive an i20. My engine management light wont go away could this be the ECM as well ?
I don't know for sure. Have you been able to pull any OBD codes?
Is this the same as Transmission control module I heard it is but if not can you show where that is cause that’s my problem sir
I am not sure if they are the same or not.
It's the same ECM for the engine and the automatic transmission. ECM for manual transmission has only one plug!!!
Hey pal, do you know where the TPMS receiver is located? Thanks.
I wish, I would have bypassed mine if I did🤣
@@DCAutoEnhancement I promise that if I find it, I'll let you know.
@@NYFreeman if I understand correctly, the receiver is built in so that it can't be messed with. I read that about another vehicle. Good luck

I would check the fuse box for a main fuse or something like it before replacing your ECM
My car hyundai sonata stalls every time a fill it with gas. Could the problem be the ECM system?
I had a similar issue on my Chevy Equinox here is a video about it. th-cam.com/video/_ZI57JVTMH8/w-d-xo.html

Me dicen que la ECU del cerato le da al elantra
What’s the purpose of that thing?
It monitors various sensors on the engine and then tells engine controls what to do.
Mileage should be in the cluster
It won’t work if you don’t place in the hole?
