Is there a chance we could get an in-depth series like that of the KZ. Would just be interesting to see what type of hone you guys use, and some of the finer things like piston fitting and setting up the crank in tolerance. Would be nice to see how the pros go about it!

Is there a way to remove and install the crackshaft and balance shaft bearings without a press? Or is it then an impossible job to do?

yeah you can use a heat gun or gas bottle to heat up the cases. we have a video on that, check this out........

I am new to karting and bought a Rotax before lock down, whilst I tried to run it regularly it now wont start and I was looking for a video that I can learn how to get my Kart going after not using it during lock down. Any direction would be awesome.

hey derek, a few questions, hope you can answer them. - what should I be able to get in terms of rpm with a rotax sr non evo? - how do I know if my gear ratio is too low or too high? - what is the lowest gear ratio without being harmful to the engine? greetings jordy

-revs and speed will be too low/high compared to the enemy
- can’t hurt em with gearing IMO

When rebuilding the top end of an IAME X30 for the first time do you need to get the cylinder bore resurfaced? Thanks!
Hey Jeff, you could probably just order a new piston. in saying that, we always hone the cylinders, but if your at home and want to just go for it, you should be sweet.

Hi love the channel. In the UK we are moving on to e10 fuel 10% ethanol. I believe this will destroy 2 stroke engines. Do you have any advice on how to remedy this thanks.
Nah it should be fine. Maybe don’t store the fuel in the kart. And don’t use old fuel as the ethanol apparently can’t attract moisture. Other than that should be all sweet. If you can adjust your ignition timing to suit ? What engine have you got?

almost always, arrow goes towards the exhaust port.

Would you say this engine is less complex than a Rotax?
I would in the sense it doesn't have a power valve assembly to hook up. other than that, they are very similar

Hello power republic. I have a zanard x30 ime and I want to tune it. Any chance I could tune it with out using a mychron
yeah easi, could use a EGT or just slowly do it session by session checking the spark plug
Seemed to have a lot of end float in the crank. That's a hefty balancer You'd think the manufacturer would try and improve the basic balance of the piston/rod/crank instead of wasting power driving a balancer. Kart engines with comfort?? Suppose you don't want your foot to vibrate off the go pedal.
Is this engine going to BREAK IN or it's ready to race?
