Also, if you notice he didn’t show a lot of dark scenes specially none 4K content as well You would definitely see a lot of blooming around objects and images on a black or darker background
Full array is actually last gen tech. On paper it is inferior to mini-LED that it competes with. What makes this TV worth considering is the XR processor and SONY's processing algorithm. SONY is second to none when it comes to processing. This TV is not as bright nor does it have the inky blacks that less expensive mini LED TV's turn out, but the SONY's processing generates far more 'accurate' colors/images. If you're into seeing images look as close to real life (i.e. not blown out), the X90L is a great TV option.
Let's be real here. At this point, how much brightness do you want to eek out of a TV? You're never going peak brightness in mini led due to blooming and you're not doing it on any LCD either.
@@Gwrightproductions1 To your point, I actually have a 'Custom' picture setting on my X90L I switch to at night when the room is darker, because my standard 'Cinema' settings are way too bright. In the end, there are many attributes to generating a great picture, with brightness only be one of them.
@@Gwrightproductions1 Personally I found no need to decrease those settings given the brightness setting I'm using doesn't really produce much blooming. I feel exactly zero need or desire to run the TV at full brightness given the room its in, so blooming hasn't been much of an issue.
Great review on the X90L Shane, I have my mind pretty much set on the 85" X90L. However, when I went to the store recently and seeing a side-by-side comparison with Samsung QN85C, I'm having a dilemma here. The Samsung QN85C seems to have better pictures when playing some Amazon Prime movies, and I like how slim they are. However, I'm a Sony fan, so I'm kind of torn on which one to get. By any chance you have plan to compare this two TV in your future video? If not, do you have a recommendation on which one you would get?
Hey, did you end up buying a TV? I was looking at so many TV's and in the end, I narrowed my list down to the two TV's you mentioned. Samsung has the mini LED so I think it gets a bit brighter than the Sony's full array LED. Yeah the TV thickness is definitely noticeable! I ended up getting the 85 inch QN85C as I wanted the Q990C soundbar to pair with it. Sony has better motion handling, they're the best in the business. I'm still not too happy with the QN85C motion handling, sometimes movies seem a bit juddery. I've already tried to change the picture clarity settings and researched it online. Also Tizen is a bit laggy, not a fan of it. If I could purchase it again I would probably go with the Sony.
Great review Shane. How does the TV perform with Centre Acoustic sync setup. Could you also share here or plan a video. Is it good enough and worth to have?
Not only is the TV too high like others said (we can see you breaking your neck and straining your eyes in two different shots) but the sound bar placement is also too high. Sure you can still view the TV and hear the audio but its suboptimal. Also TVs don't mix well with heat (fire). That's just the facts. But to each their own!
This setup is perfect for my living room. The only other option would be to rearrange the furniture and then put the TV in front of the windows. Sunlight shining in my face would also be suboptimal. The only other good option would be to buy an expensive mount that would allow me to lower the TV and sound bar which I have been considering.
It’s nice but don’t get it twisted do your research. This TV has a lot of blooming. It really does also don’t put your TV above your fireplace. Your neck will be aching after a few minutes looking up put it high level where it would be comfortable. For me I went with the LG 98 inch picture quality hand down better and the price is cheaper and I am a Sony guy, but I didn’t buy his Sony TV. No way.
Any reviewer make a review of tvs playing a low resolution videos .. otherwise all tvs are good in showing high resolution videos with no big differences
I own the X90L , it is an absolutely amazing TV ! The colours and picture are so vibrant ! My only ( minor complaint ) is that the TV has some very slight vignetting in the corner of the screen . It can only be seen when you have a white background , and you have to stare at the extreme corner of the screen to notice it . But I’ve heard that’s normal for a LED TV . Other than that everything else on the TV is absolutely flawless and for the price point, I really think it’s amazing. ❤
What a poor setup this poor bloke has. TV mounted 10 feet up. I get that he didnt want to put the TV in front of the fireplace, but thats exactly what I would do if the fireplace is not in use.
THIS DEFINITELY AN AD
Also, if you notice he didn’t show a lot of dark scenes specially none 4K content as well You would definitely see a lot of blooming around objects and images on a black or darker background
TV should be at eye-level when in a comfortable seating position = not above the fireplace.
I love it! It’s the perfect set up for the large space!
I agree. Love this setup
most important question how is the motion handling? any jitter or ghosting?
Curious to what tv you upgraded from???

I have my brightness set on 7 and I can't even imagine it being on max...lol
So i boought the x90l 2 weeks ago, and when i looked in system settings it says Model......Bravia 4K VH22. whiats up wth that? Did i get ripped off?
Is this a tv or a subwoofer advertisement?
Neither
You don’t know what you’re doing.
@michaelhatzigeorgiou470 13 years and 75million views you would think I would have figured it out by now
When you go to see a movie at the theater, do you sit in the front row?
No and this is not that experience
That tv height only works for recliner seats
It's perfect for our setup. We have recliner seats. The mount tilts down. It's great.
Don't trust ANYONE who mounts their TV above their fireplace.
Lol
😂💀

Sony with XR is the best.

What size is that one?
I love it, just got mine 3 months ago and still very happy with it
What do you prefer X90L Or QN90C 65'
This is my question

X90l is not mine led. Just standard full aray.. which isn't bad.. but the x93L is miniled but does not have XR clear which is universally appreciated
Well good observation. I totally agree. In the video I said "many LEDs" as in several, more than one person ECT ....

Why is my 2021 flagship Hisense U8G look better? 😮😮😮 cuz my tv is 1.8 yr old Already . 😮😮😮
I dunno this X90L is the best looking TV I've tried
I does look way better, it's mini led vs full array Sony. Only advantage in sony is processing.
