This isn't as positive as it could have been. It's just boys being like yeah I used to have a low self esteem but, yknow, I'm a model now. This isn't the best video promoting body acceptance
Zakiya Whyles they all talk about how they're too short of have this small thing no one will see unless they undress themselves. But what about the men like me who, even tho they aren't huge, always have been a little chubby. And after I lost that weight I kept sucking in my stomach, so now my ribs are fucked up.
cute concept but all these boys are attractive by todays standards even if theyre an inch or two "shorter" than they want to be lmaooo where are the bigger boys, boys suffering from acne, and boys who are called ugly???
I think the whole point of having models (and not your average insecure guy) talk about their insecurities just emphasizes the point that even people who supposedly fit the "standard of beauty" are made to feel ashamed of their bodies.
like, this video is great, body positivity for boys is amazing but you know it would be easier for boys to actually relate to this if they weren't models
Everyone is "appropriate" since everyone has insecurities 😊 Their worries and insecurities are just as valid as anyone else's, regardless of their profession.
its fine because none of these guys are the traditional tyson beckford, david gandy, marcus shenkenberg, type of adonis perfection kind of model. Like, all of these guys could get away with playing the overlooked friend on an indie film. They might be models, but they look like young guys you'd see hanging at the mall. So yeah. It is kind of appropriate.
Sydonia i think models are expected much more to be attractive than a "regular" person, so when you sometimes don't fall into strong beauty standards that are forced upon and around you (such as a tall, muscular man), you tend to be insecure. Models have the same, if not MORE, insecurities than the average person... considering their job is to literally be attractive.
TMXG90 lmao, so what? You’d hardly tell the difference between 5’10 and 5’9 and 3 quarters. Besides, in the fashion world, all models are tall, he’s insecure about it because he’s surrounded by 6’4+ men.
Such a cool idea to feature boys as well as girls! I think that there is a stigma around discussing male body image because guys are typically told that showing any sort of vulnerability is bad. Glad you guys took a look at it!
So many people think I'm so weird because I want a guy who's at most an inch or two taller than me. Sorry, but I want a guy who I can kiss without climbing him
There's such a great video that you guys did with Barbie talking to girl students at a high school and it was so relatable! I am looking for body positivity videos to show my middle school students and although this was really sweet, those men are models, and they mention it several times. Yes they go through struggles of not being masculine enough, but they're still all thin and attractive. Again not hating on the video, but I would just love to see Barbie interview some real boy students at a school! Thanks :)
Bravo to these young men for coming forward and talking about this issue. Hopefully it will help other young (and older) men dealing with this. Since women have become the leaders of the body positivity movement, I think more women should try to include men in these discussions and also mention that men are struggling to accept their bodies too.
To the people that think women get body shammed more the video was to show how men get body shammed to (and everyone in between) but yet a lot of people still think women have it harder. WTF the video was tear that apart. Did you even watch the video!? just because one is type of body shamming is talked about more doesn't mean that one has it harder. we're all body shammed diffrently depending on who we are. it completely disregards the entire video. it's sexist. eg girls can be shammed on breast size or the shape of their vagina a BOY=MAN=OTHER TYPE OF PERSON.can be body shammed on the amount of tissue they have around their breasts(idk if it's correct to say breasts for a man) or they can be shammed about the size of their penis which does happen alot if you think it doesn't. honestly if you completely disregard this comment just take away that everyone is equal in good and bad ways and to say that one doesn't is wrong okay.
The thing is women have a more important image in our society compare to the one of the men...woman are being iconify all the time. In our culture they have to wear high heels, knows how to paint their face, have a style, pierce their ears, shave their body and we are not far from the corcet. It's not just about the body..women have a more demanding gender role. I am a man and yes i have been suffering of body shamming but i cant compare not being the perfect duch muscular bradpitt with all those things. english isnt my main language sorry xoxo
People don't usually take a minute to look at what's in a person, just what they see. For example, I'm not the strongest person in the world but I'm no weakling, I can do about 80kg on the low row in the gym at school, but because I'm only 5ft 1 and I don't look very muscly all the 6ft 2 kids in my year push me around like I can't do anything back. The odds are always stacked against me though because the big guys always travel in groups so I'm screwed from all angles. I think people need to stop obsessing over looks and focus on actual talent or skill. Rather than going for girls with big boobs or guys with six packs go for a girl who is a fantastic artist or a guy who can play piano really well, looks matter to an extent but they shouldn't be all anyone focuses on
"Actually, no, I get them now 'cause I'm poppin'"
Literally have said that sentence verbatim before.
5'11 isn't short. the fuck
they're talking about male model standards but i agree
Sumyia Nasim but then they shouldn't make the title about '5 boys'.
yeah thats what i thought too ://
I know! I'm a girl and I'm 5'1. I'm like dude can you lend me 6 inches
svsh for a model that probably is short
i am sooo dead at K$ACE
ughhh Omar is sooo cute I need to find him!!
ap trash ikr!!!
Omg sameeee
Omar's the most beautiful man i've ever seen omgggg
MsEpicTurtle And that outfit tho
This isn't as positive as it could have been. It's just boys being like yeah I used to have a low self esteem but, yknow, I'm a model now. This isn't the best video promoting body acceptance

jose rodriguez what do cigs have to do with this?
jose rodriguez no, I am not
it shows that many people are insecure about their bodies, even people that others would find attractive
Well models are expected to be above the standard of beauty sooo....
cute concept but all these boys are attractive by todays standards even if theyre an inch or two "shorter" than they want to be lmaooo where are the bigger boys, boys suffering from acne, and boys who are called ugly???
cloudy damn if youre going to complain SO much, make your own video!!
I think the whole point of having models (and not your average insecure guy) talk about their insecurities just emphasizes the point that even people who supposedly fit the "standard of beauty" are made to feel ashamed of their bodies.
true, they brought models and they are like " oh I'm so ugly " hahahaha jezz
but theyre still models so they gotta be pretty, although size doesnt matter anymore not everyone can suddenly be a model
ofcourse everybody is beautiful but not everyone should be a model that would be weird and modelling wouldnt be a job anymore
Omar is so sweet
all of their walks are so awkward tho
Yeah why are their walks so bad? Are they not trying or is it because they aren't actual "models"?
Alexander and
Alexander most of these guys are streetwear models not high fashion.. so the walk isn't as important as their shots.
omar is so cute :)) [sorry for sounding shallow ahha]
yasmine my name is Anar
Yasmine Emilie holy shit same girl samw
sounding shallow??
omg i knowowowwoowowow
Kianaa uh xd
Orion has beautiful eyes.
burpie very!
Thank you xD
OMG yes.
As valid as their individual struggles are, I find no representation of "plus sized" male models. All these boys are very fit/thin.
Michael was larger and can be considered plus sized?
avidreader 231 no one likes those obese so called pluss size models. That's why
Lysets vokter untrue
jose rodriguez you sound dumb
@@Visualmetal Wait till all men unite and not like plus size female models as well. Unlike you women, us men aren't as shallow.
OH WOW, OMAR IS SOOO CUTE
I THINK IT'S MY TYPE?
They've got the most beautiful eyes though!
i love this series so much! theres so much representation, honesty, and positivity; it brings me hope for the future.
Me too! Hope four the future! ❤❤❤
Lol yeah cuz I’m fat and I love dying young and I am happy with myself
like, this video is great, body positivity for boys is amazing but you know it would be easier for boys to actually relate to this if they weren't models
I THINK IM IN LOVE WITH K$ACE
were male models really the moat appropriate for this video, lol, get it together teen vogue
xXspedXx exactly they should of got regular guys
I think the idea was to show that the people with the same insecurities like "regular" people ended up being models
Everyone is "appropriate" since everyone has insecurities 😊 Their worries and insecurities are just as valid as anyone else's, regardless of their profession.

idk but Omar reminds me of olly from years and years, so basically i'm in love.
yah 5'11 is so short!! ( SArcastic tone )
ApesLover1 I was looking for someone to comment this!! Some dudes are praying to be average height let alone 5'11!
Yea
It is for me, I’m a girl and almost 5’10
@@cookiek3350, Keyword "Almost"
TMXG90 lmao, so what? You’d hardly tell the difference between 5’10 and 5’9 and 3 quarters.
Besides, in the fashion world, all models are tall, he’s insecure about it because he’s surrounded by 6’4+ men.
DAMN OMAR
ORION IS GORGEOUS HELP
the boy with the long hair is absolutely stunning I can't stop looking at his eyes omg
All these guys are extremely attractive amiright
Such a cool idea to feature boys as well as girls! I think that there is a stigma around discussing male body image because guys are typically told that showing any sort of vulnerability is bad. Glad you guys took a look at it!
im in love with omar omg
They all have such pretty eyes! Also I love the positivity in this video.
they're all so cutee
I despise women that say "Their men have to be tall" Height is something you can't change ladies
Both men and women can be shallow, don't be sexist.
So many people think I'm so weird because I want a guy who's at most an inch or two taller than me. Sorry, but I want a guy who I can kiss without climbing him
"I'm 5'11. A little bit shorter" BOI R U JOKING ME
they're all gorgeous
K$ace's short thing resonates with me, I despise my height and i get bullied for it
" find something about yourself that you like alot , and just pump it "
words to live by 🙌🙌🙌💛💛
"I used to think I was ugly but it was really that I was short"
"I used to think I was ugly, but really I was just short" KDJDISKSKLSK I'M DEAD
I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCHHHHH. CURVY GUYS THO TOO PLEASEE

They just expressed their insecurities they weren't shamed for it. I'm pretty sure no one comments on that guy's eyes or the tall kid's height
K$ace is my spirit animal
I think it's cool they decided to see it from the viewpoint of men, this is true equality, respect
omg orions hair i love ittt
There all just so handsome I'm dying.
AHHHHHH I'M LOVING THAT GUY'S TXF JACKET!!
I NEED THEIR INSTAGRAMS!!
