There is 1 difference that does separate things a bit. Factory Striders are rarer than Bile Titans and usually only come in groups or 2 or less, with the most I’ve seen being 3 at the same time on a level 9 Helldive geological survey mission. They can also be crippled by destroying their range weapons making them safe to deal with from a distance, combine this with their slow movement speed, easiness maneuvering under them, and the fact their weak spot underneath their belly can be continuously attacked until they die, they definitely can become less threatening. However remember they can and WILL spawn in 5 Devastators and you’ll have trouble ignoring them, they don’t exactly take a while to do this either they spawn a new group every 2 minutes I believe. In comparison, the Bile Titan can also have its ranged attacks deleted however the only issue with this is that you have to be under them or have immaculate aim and tracking to destroy their bile sacks, and even when destroyed it’s good to remember the Bile Titan can catch up to you when you aren’t running, and is harder to maneuver under without dying to its one-shot legs. Also if its range attack is disabled, unlike the factory strider, this can theoretically make it more challenging as you lose the distance you gain when it stops to vomit, along with any potential friendly fire damage it can do to other bugs unfortunate enough to be in the vomits path. They can also spawn in multiple groups, on Helldiver missions naturally I’ve seen about 4-5 at the same time meaning you WILL have to bring dedicated Titan killer stratagems to handle these things. They also have less weak spots than the strider with only the bile sacks under disabling its ranged attack (even if it does still damage it) and only the head being a notable weak point but even then only to high armor piercing weapons. That being said they cannot spawn more units beside themselves, are limited in combat options, and have less health than striders (Factory striders give or take have about 2-3X the health of Bile Titans if you aren’t targeting their weak spots with powerful weaponry) Overall I still think situationally the Strider poses a greater threat as it has more tools at its disposal and would still have other bots created or not assisting it if it’s ranged weapons were destroyed, combined with its massive health pool and the fact most stretchers (Like the Railcannon) don’t even two-shot it or may only disable one of its weapons/weak points, while in comparison the Bile Titan can be one-shot or heavily injured by a rail cannon and has to rely on players not having any anti-tank strategems to really strive in battle.

But at the end of the day you can literally kill it with nothing more and a primary where as if you find yourself on cooldown and out of at or using a diff weapon biles suddenly become a nightmare. Additionally strider's weaponry can be destroyed to render it essentially useless while with bile titans even once you explode their abdoment they are still fast enough to catch up to players. Also five of them can spawn at once.
The fact that the striders can spawn other armored units alone make it a bigger threat. Bile titans can be a pita but you can usually one shot them pretty easily. Striders though take multiple hits and can survive some fairly strong stratagems as well.
The thing with BTs is that they're a big threat but limited range. Factory Striders have the cannon with as far as I can tell, the same range as any cannon turret. Then front facing machine-guns AND the ability to drop like 8 devastators repeatedly
Once the mini guns are gone the strider is fairly safe. That being said, having time to shoot them off without getting flinched by every little bot quick scoping you across map is a problem.
10 star general here. Striders are great at area denial, but are easy to bring down. Titans will chase you across the map if you don’t have the weaponry to disable them. In terms of difficulty, they’re a wash.
Simply destroying one piece can help your groups chances of coming out on top. For striders removing the Gatlings from the front will insure that your squad won’t get shredded and can be closer to it to avoid the big cannon at the top. For titans the bigger part of the underside will put a permanent stop to the bile spewing. Forcing it to melee makes it hold still for strats to land on it
Killing a Strider only requires medium penetration (amr, laser cannon, etc), while killing a bile titan requires multiple shots with heavy penetration, and titans always come with high number
The difference between them is you can take out a factory strider with basically any weapon by shooting it's belly, a single full magazine of auto cannon rounds can easily take out a factory strider but that isn't the case for the bile titans the auto cannon can't even penetrate it's armour, also bile titans usually have the numbers advantage and only a few support weapons actually have the power to take one out making them way harder in reality
Biletitans and bugs in general are harder for me to deal with. Striders aren't much of a treat they are slower and its easy enough to take out it's weapons before it or any of the bots around it get close.
The bot equivalent of Bile Titans is Tanks. There’s a reason factory striders were added later. The bug equivalent of a Factory Strider will be the Hive Lord
Something that I would find really cool for held ivers if that , there was a fourth enemy type that was literally just Traitor humans that you would have to fight. That'd be really cool, like you'd have to fight super Earth's own resources and stuff like that.
Titans still go down with two headshots from EATs, takes a lot more to drop a strider, however I've found that the precision strike does well against the striders if you time it right. I usually pair it with the 500, drops them quickly.
Main difference is Bile titans trigger an extra part of the theme while the Factory Striders don’t… meaning the automaton theme’s choir is for something even bigger
Factory Striders are tougher (and more fun to fight) but sometimes there’s 5 Bile Titans lmao. The most I’ve seen on the map at one time was 2 Factories.
it really just depends on what you’re running. if you have to get close to either then the strider is more dangerous assuming it still has the guns, whereas you can effortlessly run between a bile’s legs and be fine. really if you can destroy a striders gatlings then it’s not a big threat but pound for pound they are a greater threat
I’m just gonna say this- the first time I saw a factory spider I genuinely froze IRL and I could only say what the hell is that. I told my friends ho big it was bad once he saw it we both thought we wore cooked cuz we both thought that it was an enemy type that could not be killled
380mm HE barrage can quickly cripple and thin out striders. The issue is Bile titans themselves and the lack of putting then down. You would think targeting the legs and wounding them would be a viable weapoint. Nope and even id your dead on, the games shotty hit detection can render any Spear Stike a complete miss.
So when I was just starting out with a cadet when I was pulled on a level 7 mission and we landed nearby a air base and I saw a factory strider blow up half of my team and when I call down reinforcements just as they landed it dropped down rocket devastators, I will just say I will never forget that day.😰😰😰
I dare move under a Bile Titan to keep it distracted and try my best to fight it from underneath. A Stryder can attack almost from everywhere and especially below.
Titans are by far and away harder to deal with. Striders have a lot of firepower, yes. But the chin guns can be taken out by anything with medium pen, and the cannon can't aim straight down, so you can kill it by unloading evything into the belly doors. Titans on the other hand, spawn way more frequently, and argueably become deadlier when you take out their sacks. Everything is heavy armor... even the torn up remnants of its underbelly(which makes no sense to me), so you're basically screwed if everyone's stuff is on cooldown.
The striders duel frontal machine guns are able to turn any diver into Swiss cheese in the matter of seconds. You can dodge bike titans but not automaton bullets.
I just want to see these enemies of Super Earth fight each other should they contest the same planet. It would be a cool combat dynamic in deciding whether to fight the Terminids or the Automatons first before fighting off the now weakened surviving foes.
That's why I want the galactic war to go far North on map, to allow bugs and bots to enconter, just imagine, fabricators and bugs nest on same map, forcing you to adapt to fight both at once, but can also give truly epic battles in backgrounds like a patrol of hunters and a charger fighting a patrol of bots with a hulk and of course, see Strider fighting a Bile Titan for real and see who is the toughest
Everyone on the subreddit seems to think the Bile Titan is more difficult, which I don’t understand. They are both easily taken down with good team coordination, but can be very deadly when unexpected or in numbers. The only difference is that the factory strider is more armored, has long and medium range weapons, and can spawn devastators to cover the short range.
My initial thought when I see a factory strider is “Oh shit, how are we gonna kill this thing quickly?” When it’s a Bile Titan, my thought is “Guess I gotta use two of my thermites.🤷♂️”
I feel like there around the same, as just a level 11 Sargent, I feel like I don’t have much say in this, but every time I try to hit a bile titan with an air strike, it NEVER WORKS, but against the factory striders, I can actually hit them. Although this is true, factory striders still pose a higher threat, at they are able to deploy other units, can shoot projectiles, and are overall hard to eliminate. But no matter the threat, Democracy will reign supreme and those stupid commu- I mean, bugs and bots will all perish in the hands of freedom. 🧑🚀

Bugs are easier to kill but bot maps are easier because their factory's are so big, you can snipe them with the quasar and keep running
The amount of times I died to ragdoll after getting too close to a dead bile titan is just unholy
The bot equivalent of Bile Titans is Tanks. There’s a reason factory striders were added later. The bug equivalent of a Factory Strider will be the Hive Lord
I feel like I can just run away from factory striders until my cooldown are over
You put an equal amount of terminid nests and bit factories on a map and have them fight it out, the bots are clearing the floor with the bugs
Something that I would find really cool for held ivers if that , there was a fourth enemy type that was literally just Traitor humans that you would have to fight. That'd be really cool, like you'd have to fight super Earth's own resources and stuff like that.
And no, I'm not saying PVP I'm saying PVE but human.
It actually depends on what kit you’re running
I haven’t quite fought a strutter yet, but for some reason, the most annoying bug to deal with probably has to be the tank
Titans still go down with two headshots from EATs, takes a lot more to drop a strider, however I've found that the precision strike does well against the striders if you time it right. I usually pair it with the 500, drops them quickly.
Once you take out the bile titans sacs to take away, its ability to spit it just becomes a minor nuisance from then on
Main difference is Bile titans trigger an extra part of the theme while the Factory Striders don’t… meaning the automaton theme’s choir is for something even bigger
Factory Striders are tougher (and more fun to fight) but sometimes there’s 5 Bile Titans lmao. The most I’ve seen on the map at one time was 2 Factories.
Striders just don’t have a weak point, you have to hit them with heavy armour piercing.
it really just depends on what you’re running. if you have to get close to either then the strider is more dangerous assuming it still has the guns, whereas you can effortlessly run between a bile’s legs and be fine. really if you can destroy a striders gatlings then it’s not a big threat but pound for pound they are a greater threat
K this just gave me the awesome idea of tweaking the AI so it’s bugs vs bots, spawning a couple armies and watching them just go at it.
So when I was just starting out with a cadet when I was pulled on a level 7 mission and we landed nearby a air base and I saw a factory strider blow up half of my team and when I call down reinforcements just as they landed it dropped down rocket devastators, I will just say I will never forget that day.😰😰😰
Imagin one day these 2 factions fight each other while us the helldivers are trying to get those the clash
I agree, Bile Titans are not bad to deal with. But these AT-AT walkers, I need Eagle-1 to use tow cables to take them out
I dare move under a Bile Titan to keep it distracted and try my best to fight it from underneath.
A bile titan is way harder to kill but is less immediately threatening.
Me and my squad drop factory striders like they ain’t no thing on the regs
Those god darn hunters
The striders duel frontal machine guns are able to turn any diver into Swiss cheese in the matter of seconds. You can dodge bike titans but not automaton bullets.
what if i told you, that bile titans actually have wings? nobody's scared of cockroaches, until they begin to fly
This makes me wonder... will we ever see both enemies on the same planet? Fight both at the same time.
Now i want to see who would win if the Terminids and Automaton clash with each other
My initial thought when I see a factory strider is “Oh shit, how are we gonna kill this thing quickly?”
When it’s a Bile Titan, my thought is “Guess I gotta use two of my thermites.🤷♂️”
I would love to see a planet where both factions are fighting at and we deploy into
Homie is sleeping on the hunter swarms. Fuck those things
With a vile titans it’s never just one
I feel like there around the same, as just a level 11 Sargent, I feel like I don’t have much say in this, but every time I try to hit a bile titan with an air strike, it NEVER WORKS, but against the factory striders, I can actually hit them. Although this is true, factory striders still pose a higher threat, at they are able to deploy other units, can shoot projectiles, and are overall hard to eliminate. But no matter the threat, Democracy will reign supreme and those stupid commu- I mean, bugs and bots will all perish in the hands of freedom. 🧑🚀
