I managed to recover a ghidora 9 booster (Falcon 9 in Tundra Exploration mod) and get into orbit without FMRS or a high apoapsis( my apoapsis was 60km ) using kOS and PRE(Physics Range Extender).
New Glenn will most likely be fine just because the first stage is the only real expensive thing, even the second stage isnt that bad but its gonna be in a better place than every other non reusable rocket.
Nothing. They serve different customers. Starship is aiming to be a new vehicle for Lunar missions 30k+ KG to TLI. Falcon Heavy/New Glenn exist for LEO/GTO or remote missions Space X is not launching Starship to deliver things to LEO
I could, I feel like that would look a little weird because they would kinda stick out and they may not be the same shade of white as the tanks. TBH I haven't tried it yet so I'm just guessing

@@Piolet1549 Maybe some parts of the mod I don't use, I tend to split it's responsibilities with Mechjeb for the more commonly used parts it seems okay though, still I think I'll wait a couple of weeks before starting a proper career playthrough on 1.11 just in case some mods aren't playing nice
If you get the apoapsis of the craft up to about 90 km, it will give you enough time to circularize before the first stage needs to do the boost-back burn
That is an option, I guess it depends on weather you want to be accurate to the flight profile of the rocket, or actually recover the booster properly. Neither is really better imo

Geat video! I wanted to make New Glenn for some time now, so i'm happy to see one. I also have some tips for you: 1) Don't use so much autostrut. It just causes kraken attacks. Autostrut only the most importnant parts. 2) You can easly land the booster and get the payload in orbit. Try it, it is possible. 3) The biggest hinges with some landing pads wouls make much better landing gear. 4) Having that many reaction wheels just reduces your dV. Try using some more powerful RCS system. Waiting for the next one and hope that my tips will help!
thanks! I've heard a lot of people say autostrut causes kraken attacks but I have not had any problems (yet). I have landed boosters and gotten into orbit without quicksaves but I just find it a bit annoying to do so I tend to just do quicksaves. I could have for sure done better with the landing legs, 100%. And the thing about the wheels is true as well. thanks again
