You should see original GPX 200cc bike from Thailand (Same model but different engine) the 200cc engine color are ridiculous gold and newer model are more like they got the idea from Cummins engine and paint it red. And I think GPX Thailand export the bike without engine to Sinnis and they put Terrain 125cc engine into that bike.
I was just scrolling through the comments to see if anyone else knew this was a GPX demon in disguise! I am not overly familiar with GPX, but as soon as I saw this I thought, that’s the same name, then the logo, then the dash! I know some of the models are made in China, the Legend singles and maybe the twin is in made in China assembled in Thailand, they’re in China under a different brand name. Demon (which this bike is based on) on the other hand I have not seen in China.
GPX bike are mainly design in Thailand for some model but using Chinese engine for reduce production cost or something. Except GPX Scooter was collaboration development and design with SYM.
Personally, I think I'd probably get the Terrain. That's not saying the GPX125 isn't a fine machine, but I think if you're limited to 60-70mph anyway there's no benefit from this kind of layout and you may as well have the more comfortable, more control of a trail bike. I'd also like the panniers, too. However, If you like the styling then there's no real reason not to go for the GPX for it's looks and it is pretty. This is the thing. Back in the 90s you could buy a 125cc bike and derestrict it to get 20hp. A sorted TZR125 or RG125 could hit 90-100mph. This will never match that. I do wonder if Kawasaki who made a range of GPX bikes in the 80s might get in touch with Sinnis about the naming. I think the GPX250 was made until the early 00s and was a fine, lightweight sports-tourer.
@@wavegodz3051 did you buy this bike? I'm now looking too! Seen a few suggest get the Zontes ZT125 instead with its more HP, non-linked breaks and keyless entry but still can't decide on my first 125!

I saw one of these bikes in my local bike shop the other day and i was surprised at how big it looked for a 125cc it looked like it could have been a 250cc, they do look a nice starter bike if you don't have a bigger budget.
Great review as always mate, the dash when you turned the key and it lit up was like a mini circus lol you posted out great features that would definitely help potential buyers part with their money but you do have to test ride it was just the revs for me that was making me wince a bit but hey-ho price wise for what it is what can you really say seems a solid bike and more reliable than ahem lex!! keep up the great reviews mate
If you are 17 and weigh 11 stone this could be it if you want a road bike. The Japanese bikes are nice. But I am never sure who they are aimed at their prices.
Great review, thanks very much. I agree with you that they've got the looks pretty much bang on with this model. Although I personally prefer the more classic/retro styling, you can still appreciate they've done an above average job with this. Also nice to see you can give it a short burst up to 65mph for the odd A road manoeuver if you need to- such a useful option if you commute on busy A roads. Have to say though, the Pagani you mentioned is still a more attractive proposition for me personally- those looks are amazing for a 125.
For a 125...Looks pretty good and not covered in crash bars as usual from Sinnis...Pretty sure someone will make a better exhaust for it...Nice dash...Shame Sinnis don't put that dash on the Terrain :-) And still combined braking is a no no :-(
Nice enough. I think the price is 'ok'. The motor feels gutless and like it doesn't want to rev. The 70mph thing, valid, but the question becomes are you sat at redline to try and do it. That being said, the Sinnis terrain seems to be solid enough. I will say as I once did before, you need to review the service intervals, because its important. Its not a cheaper bike if your servicing has to take place 3 times more often.
very zontes like. but after 12500 miles on my zontes 310r........... that stuff wears off pretty quick :( nice review mate. very well done and thorough! keep it up!
I'm not a sportsbike fan but it does look decent. The colour is similar to Hyundai 'N' Performance blue. Sidestand issue can be bypassed. Brakes do look naff compared to the rest of it, just a shame it's lacking oomph to the big brands, my old ybr125 will do 65-70 on the level, it doesn't quite have the go to match the looks... Still I'd take it over a lexmoto.
Could you please show me your camera mounting way on the tank or somewhere on your jacket, I can't really tell where it was mounted? Great review by the way, and bike is very nice except those red calipers and bronze foot rests. 😄 Really impressed by the cockpit, didn't expect suvh a nice dash from the cheap 125. Great bike for lucky learners, shame I didn't have anything near that when I was starting.
The sample size for the LXR is alot larger than those of any other bike that you compared this too. Build and reliability are just the same when it comes to these Chinese bikes. The Mondial being the only one really worth the money
I’m looking at getting this bike now was getting the lexmoto lxr 125 but I’m sick of seeing so many issues every day with them now even dealers saying go for the Sinnis. How are u finding it after this anything to report or still all good
Looking into one of these as a replacement to my unfortunately written off terrain. I love trying to get knee down and I wasn’t able to on the terrain I feel like this would be perfect
What happened to the 100 mph 125 from years back, is it because they are 4 stroke and not 2 stroke, or are they restricted on power, or is it down to them having to be cleaner now. I've been riding for 50 years, and am out of touch with the regulations concerning the smaller motorcycles.
Back then, full power 125 was 33bhp....even restricted. Now, 125's are all 4 stroke, (restricted to 11kw -14.75 bhp). Euro 5 emissions now so all fuel injected; ECU's control the fuelling and restrict the power. Full power 125 will do 70. My first bike was a 1986 FS1E 49cc, only did 35 sadly. Disappointed as my brothers' 1979 FS1E did 62.
@@motorsforthemasses Not so. 125s were restricted to 12hp (9kw) unless you had a full licence. 33hp 125s like the aprilia rs125 were massively expensive and rare as hen's teeth. That is a lovely bike. My honda vision hits 62 down the dual carriageway it should nudge 65 with proper variator. It weighs 40 kg less than this and it does 180 mpg. 30 mile a day commute equates to refilling four times a month currently.
