    Studying abroad should be done for knowledge and career and not just for immigration. With low growth and negative immigration policies in most western countries, chances of getting jobs are reducing. Remote jobs have taught managers that many more jobs can be outsourced to India, Philippines and even Poland and Ireland. At the other end, AI and ML are able to do more and more of the data analysis type of jobs.

      If a publicly traded company opts to outsource overseas to reduce expenses, it should begin by outsourcing the CEO position. By saving millions in this manner, the company can maintain the employment of numerous American workers. These employees, in turn, will contribute to the local economy in various ways.

    Hi , My son has got admission in NEU Boston and University of Colorado, Boulder for MEM program for Fall 24. He is awaiting decision update from Purdue and USC, LA. Can you please advise between NEU and UCB which is the one you would suggest and also in the event of a positive decision from Purdue and USC please suggest. Thanks.

    • @harsh3994
      @harsh3994 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      NEU and UC B are safe category schools. It's not much tough to get into these. Advantage of NEU is that it has a co-op program ( although that doesn't guarantee to land internship, but it's decently okay ). Advantage of CU boulder is that it will be having lesser cost of living. USC and Purdue are highly ranked and ambitious Universities. USC course is more inclined towards supply chain management. Out of all the options you mentioned, Purdue is the best. It's a self - financing course with the best ROI. The acceptance rate at Purdue is very less.
      Purdue>> USC > Neu ~ UCB.

      Why not work now instead of doing MTech at IIT or anywhere. Couple of years of experience especially for CS graduates will help to decide what to do next. Doing a terminal MS /MTech in CS in general is a waste of time anywhere in the world full time. Doing a MS on the way to a PhD is different as this opens different opportunities. If you need to develop skills in particular area, you can take specific courses or can do a part-time MS in CS while working. Only somewhat valid reason to do a MS in CS in USA is to be able to enter USA. Also, you should plan but many times life is planned for you. In my own case, I came to US after BTech 40 years back to study engineering. However, my first manager assigned me a financial problem to solve. After that I worked only in finance, and I think have done well in terms of career.

You may spend years by taking longer courses or go for 3 years for OPT etc. but getting even H1B visa is very limited. More than 100,000 students from India go to US but H1B visa is given to only 85,000 to people from all over world. ( Out of this 20,000 is for those who graduate from US universities. Those who get H1B visas , wait for more that 10 years after completing 6 years on H1B visas for getting a Green Card. Till you get Green Card your life is uncertain,
