Thank you for sharing! I watched this previously and didn't notice that you removed the metal clip from the inside of the plug! I recently had to replace the steering wheel damper and after reconnecting everything, the airbag light would not go off. I had to order a code scanner to determine what was wrong and got the short in knee airbag B1860. Removed and confirmed that the pins are shorted. Didn't realize that this metal clip insert is what is causing the short! I'm going to remove it and see if that resolves the short! If it does, I'm willing to paypal you some money for coffee too! You saved me 150-200$ for sure! TY TY TY!
Sad days! Pulled the clip out and tested with only the pins of the igniter present, dead short still. Sigh, Buying a new airbag :(

He just removes the pins out the way ,reconnect, light is gone, worked for me

Hello, in the video, it is not shown when the piece is removed from the metal inside the socket. which makes contact with srs pins to detect when the connector is disconnected.
