A small tip maybe, you probably prerecorded this forever ago, but still if you read this anytime soon it might still matter. Since you already like putting in reduncancies, maybe its wise to make a diamon shape out of your wires, so they are redundant too. If one line breaks, you will still power your dome, and if your water gets powered down you will always have powered tanks in reserve. Cheers
18 in: To build or repair Cables and Pipes, you just need Metal, so that’s not really expensive. You can harvest Metal easily. Initally I assumed that Pipes required Polymer, like PVC pipes for plumbing or something. That would have been horrible!
some advice for newer players just getting into this DO NOT WAIT to get your Moxies up even if you dont intend to bring colonists for a min build it and build tanks and store that shit the last thing you want to happen is a dust storm to pop up the moment you drop your colonists and boo now they are all dead because you didnt have oxygen stored same goes for water if you dont have access to an earlier extractor same goes for water even if you have an extractor especially in places prone to dust storms keep those resources stored and full

Yes, but because buildings don't automaticaly connect one to another and must have cable/pipe to connect them, people automaticaly presume that buldings also don't conduit.
I really love this game and i feel your pain i had a really good set up and i got attacked of meteors and it was over im like ok were good and then after that a dust devil landed and destroyed stuff that i just put down lmao the funny part is wasnt even mad

theoretically cant you put down a stockpile as close to the rover as you can, and place repair resourses down, and the borken rovers bots can pick them up to repair itself? this should be possible
Considering the size of those lumps of meteors wouldnt the impacts be actually far far larger than the game shows? Must be a game decision, wouldnt be much fun if a meteor large enough to make mining it useful also would of obliterated the entire sector.
Because you trigger me by doing this: your Dome has multiple power and water ports clearly shown, so you do not need to lay powerlines and pipes around your domes you can pass through the Dome.

quill cant u use buildings as a attachment for power resources like pulling one cable from one side and taking it from the other side so that u can use that power on another object? I hope it was clear..
What i do is build the small,depos just besides the thing i need to mantainband put a limit of 20 like that all the buildings have the material close to the buildings full and the rest in the big and general depo

I have to admit I always hated the natural disasters like meteor showers etc in other city building games and such. So much work flushed down the tubes all due to some random dice throws inside the game. Always frustrated me to no end as much as it might be more realistic.
I lost my first and third to marauders because the game didn't give me the notice of what killed my first one due to how fast he died, so when I sent my third one to the next system over they killed him too.

Quill You can right click the people icon the turn them off as a way to control how many people will work in a facility. Hope that makes sense

I feel his main junction is prime bowling target for an asteroid and he should try to spread it out a little bit more

Can you run cables through the domes instead of around?
Yes, technically. You start the cable up again on the other side, but it picks up the same power flow from the other cable.
