We Vegans here are loving your Big On Spice series! Please make more episodes! Been binge watching past 2 days!! Your charming enthusiasm for these gorgeous, mouthwatering, plant based foods…tropical fruits…& breathtaking scenery, is just what the world needs right now! 👏👏👏🌱💚🕊
Yes!! Wonderful to see more vegan meals!! Animals, the environment and our bodies benefit from choosing plants. I’ll definitely visit this place next time in Chiang Mai 😍
used to live in BKK, whenever I watch Mark Video, bring back the memories of time when I was there many years ago . The atmosphere of smell and spicy/sour taste of Northen foods. Simple and healthy. look so relaxing and peaceful.
Thanks Mark! I love these videos! I’m always captivated and it’s so fascinating to see these plant based dishes. I would love to experience these cultures at some point.
It is amazing how much vegan food you find in asia that are actually tasty and healthy! Eating some raw veg like cucumber as a side is something I have seen in other soutasian countries as well. I remember in Bangladesh, they used to serve a side with cucumber, green chillies and a few others in almost every restaurant I went to. This video made me want to visit nothern Thailand to taste this amazing food. Also, I really like this video format which doesn't have too much background music and is slow paced like a VLOG. Keep up the good work Mark! 👍
Thank you very much, this is exactly right - and the aim of this entire channel is to search out plant based foods that are unbelievably tasty. Thank you for your feedback.
Your Big On Spice Channel is my favourite because there is no meat!. From all other food vloggers, You are the Best Food Vlogger even I am strict Bhog/Bhoj Vegetarian. If you ever come to State Tamil Nadu in India for your Food Vlog, be welcome or in Tamil Vannakam Swagatham! Tamil Nadu has so many spicy variety food that you will enjoy!
Thank you very much Rani! Very cool to hear that, India has some of the greatest of all plant based foods. As soon as travel opens up a bit, can't wait to visit India again!
Morning Mark, I have been watching you and your family on your other channels for years now and I absolutely love all the different contents you film for us its Incredible! Thanking you for taking me to places I'll never be able to go and showing us all this amazing food for places all over the world. Take care, stay safe and keep making us smile and you dont stop smiling either please xXx
Plant based WHAAAAAAT???!!!! Omg 😱 didn’t think this was even possible! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Mark, though I am vegan, I’ve ALWAYS loved your passion and versatility for other cultural foods of the universe. Just didn’t think this was in the cards! 😂😂😂 THANKS LOVE 💙💙💙
Can you do a cooking episode to show how to pound jackfruit and galangal? I’d love to see that. Everything you ate looks so healthy, especially the fresh leaves.
Mark - we love your videos. They are so calming and relaxing to watch! Love how you respect different cultures and their food. Vert interesting to see these plant-based and healthy dishes! Will be amazing if you can do more thai home recipes for those of us who can't travel yet! Hope you and the family are staying safe.
I love when you do plant-based foods. I had to go plant-based because of my health. I love trying all kinds of cuisines, but especially Asian. My name is Lanna. It’s pronounced just like Anna, only it starts with an L. When I seen your first vid on Lana food, I was surprised. Never had heard of it. I’ve researched it extensively and looked up recipes for it. Love all of your channels. Been following you for quite a few years now. God Bless you, Ying and Mica.
I love plant based meals. Curious if you still eat eggs or dairy products or are you more on the vegan end. I myself have been vegan for many years but been craving eggs recently.
@@mcarbone4 Whole Foods, Plant-Based, NoSOS (No salt, oil, sugar). I started out vegetarian in 2016 after winding up in the hospital for a week with pneumonia. I had a hard couple months trying to recover from it. My pcp (doctor) is the one who introduced me to wfpb. After that pneumonia, they’ve diagnosed me over 16 health conditions. High blood pressure, high cholesterol and triglycerides, type 2 diabetes with insulin resistance and diabetic neuropathy, congestive heart failure, copd, pulmonary embolism, polycythemia, leukocytosis, uterine and breast cancer, and so much more. I got off of the wfpb band wagon for a couple of years, and just went down hill. I feel and do better when I eat that way. Easier to lose weight, too, and keep it off. I know a few people who are wfpb but not 100%. Some are like 70 to 30, meaning 70% wfpb, 30% not. Some are 80/20, some 60/40, some 90/10 pr 100. 🙂
Hello Mark Wiens . Greetings from Germany, amazing video from you from Chiang Mai. I love to watching you eating thai food ❤❤thai food and looking so delicious.
I have been watching videos on your channels for many years. Videos on Big On Spice are my favorites. So glad you are uploading videos on this channel again! 😃
One reason why I follow you is because for when I want to travel I'll know the name if the dish and where to go. Watching your videos always makes me hungry 🤤
TY! I get so many new recipe ideas from your channels...although not vegetarian, I do love my veggies...and after watching this video, more determined than ever to add a jackfruit tree to our collection - so versatile! (and make that chili dip!)
You get to explored the wonderful world of South East Asia and enjoying one of the most delicious foods there in a peaceful environment. Haven't been back to the motherland in ages.
Dear Mark, it would be amazing if you could write the name of each dish you try in Thai (for us Thai learners) ;) You could type it either on the screen or in the description box. What a wonderful video, it makes me want to go back to Chiang Mai! Best wishes from Taipei~
Mark, please come visit New Mexico! Visit Hatch, New Mexico and the amazing Green Chilé that is world famous! New Mexico, is known as the Chilé capital of the world! Also come visit northern New Mexico, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, & Taos! You’d fall in love with Taos, & our Sangre De Cristo Mountains!
Hey Mark - what did you miss most about Thailand whilst you were away in the US? Can't wait to return to Thailand once our borders are back open here in Western Australia!
Hii Mark, I love your videos, especially like that kind of (plant based, organic, scratch from the button) I am just wondering could list your best cuisine in the world, most delicious, attractive, fascinating for based on your experience. Or matbe you can make a video about it. Than you so much 😊
hey mark, you are back from your u.s.a. & mexico trip, good trip i guess.nice place again in your country home, thailand.thats really nice food you got there,i have a watering mouth too watching you eating, tnx and good luck again bro.
About the spicy taste in Nam Prik Noom, if you want a spicy taste in it you have to add prink ki noo or some type of chillii that make a spicy taste in that dip, instead of using just a Prik Noom(the big chilli). BTW Nam Prik Noom is also the base of many Nam Prik in Nothren of Thailand. For example Nam Prik Plara is mixed from Nam Prink Noom(less salt) and Prara(fermented fish), Nam Prik Pla is mixed from Nam Prik Noom and Grilled or boiled fish, etc. Hope everyone enjoy Northern Thai food like mark 😁
I didn't know chayote is found in Thailand and eaten raw. Chayote is called iskus in Nepal, Darjeeling and Sikkim. Chayote plant is the only plant I have ever seen of which every part is edible . Root, stem and fruit. From your channel, i have found that there's a lot of similarities in the food habit of Thai and eastern Himalayan people.
Very cool, thank you for sharing Navin. Wow, that would be a cool vegetable to make a video about in all the different ways to eat it. I've never had the roots!
That’s crazy money for a full meal. That’s the price of our Thai buffet in Canada and I’m sure it’s not as good. Makes me so happy to see you eat plants.
