@@TheeBaggy59 I think the priest's knocking on the door caught his attention, there is just too much stuff going on Jim has a hard time to comprehend it.
I still can't believe Jim didn't throw up or immediately try to leave after entering a room with piles of dead bodies. The smell alone would be way too intense for anyone to handle
That's what makes the rage virus one of the most disturbing zombie viruses for me under cordyceps fungus, in rage virus, the infected are still aware and alive, they're just full of rage which makes them act like rabbid animals, tho they have it easy cause they'll die eventually from hunger unlike cordyceps zombies where the fungus doesn't let them die at all and makes sure that it keeps doing its job even when the host's body completely gives up
Most of them are probably dead people or infecteds. But I'm sure some of them were too weak already to notice jim and only then they awoken when jim fought the preacher.
They were unconscious, likely due to starvation/dehydration, they're dying basically, because the body is still human, it's just in a constant state of rage.
@@KRGilmore-x4dYeah. I guess they are all subject to that end because what on Earth could they eat? Not other people - it isn’t Dawn Of The Dead. I don’t recall them eating anything in the two films.
Same. I've read someone theorise that it's because these infected have already weakened from starvation and dehydration (which could also explain why the priest didn't run at Jim faster), so they probably either (1) weren't incentivised to chase Jim themselves until he escaped the priest, or (2) they'd started hallucinating from their severe malnutrition and couldn't tell whether or not Jim was real until he ran.
I honestly think it's because he's high up on like a balcony and maybe they couldn't immediately figure out how to reach him but if he was down there with them he was good as dead. Notice once he ran back downstairs to ground level they were on his ass.
@@abdullahmcneal7912 honestly both really good points! i never did notice that he was up on a sort of elevated platform so that could most definitely be it
Jim: "Hello?"
Infected: *suddenly stands up*
Me: mama help 💀
The fact Jim doesn't react instantly is crazy, if I were him I think I start running like crazy without thinking

This scene still creeps me out now as it did when I was a kid
Just noticed the kid on the billboard is the same infected kid that jim sees later on

Remember... There is no discharge in the war.
Don’t discharge December
Aaahhhhhhh
@BobTheBrogrammer There is no discharge

Zombies looking up at Jim like they're making a TH-cam reactor thumbnail lmao
lmfao best comment for that moment yet
2:22 Maybe the only bit of humanity he had left made him do that move, telling him in a way to go quickly.

Never once did they say the infected are still alive and aware of what their doing....
1:54 that terrifying
And with the music it's worse, I paused it the first time I saw the scene XD
The second zombie was creepy as hell
kinda funny the first one looking like he's wearing a bib XD
0:05 Child's drawing. A grim detail.
It still amazes me how uncanny the infected are in this movie. They look like humans but there is barely any humanity left.
I always asked to my self if those infected were there just sleeping or they set a trap to catch him?;💀
They're just chilling.. if they'd have seen him coming they'd have charged at him

When the pizza guy arrives
Scariest zombie movie.
i’ve always wondered why the infected don’t instantly attack him?

0:54 we're fuckin close.
The minute I saw the zombies running, I immediately knew this was gonna be a whole different Z movie.
Repent
The End Is
Extremely Fooking
Nigh
This movie is future proof because I couldn't make this comment if I was in jim's position.
"28 Comments" on this video when I loaded the page.
Could this be the same church that we see in the trailer for 28 Years Later?
So is that the church we see in the new 28 years later
Hello...
Don't know what this was recorded on . But terrible quality
It was recorded on consumer grade cameras from 2001. The films was low budget, and had limited time at the places it rented
It was also done intentionally as a stylistic choice
