Great vid, well detailed, i am going to be purchasing one of these but cant decide which, can both be used for racing? Not on a professional level just for fun or is the f5 better for this also out the box is the height the same from ground to chassis
Thank you for supporting the channel it's really appreciated! The F5 is more aero dynamic for sure, how ever the chassis and ride height are the same in terms of ground clearance. Both great cars, the RF5 has those few extras such as the roll cage, etc. But parts are interchangeable on both cars.
Can a bigbore engine such as taylor 50gt fit in the f5? Or limited to regular size engine, i see thunder rc installed on his rf5 a 46cc engine, but never saw a bigbore on a f5...thank you for your time❤
I'm sure you can, but in taylors range, anything over a 50cc is a over kill and not really usable in this model. The big 71cc that taylor do are also a over kill on other models. Great engines, probably the best, but you will be destroying diffs, diff case etc...
@@thercstore. 🤣 i know, all diff, gears, wheels must go, f5 is a slow gas car rtr, electric 8-12s are insane fast, but i dont like e cars, so im trying to build one that will be a screamer...
@gsrc6876 Yes, it's all trial and error, I guess. Our F5 is extremely quick out of the box, quicker than our RF5. Though the RF5 does need tuning. We are trying a few things with the stock 45cc engine to see if it can be improved, but we are looking at some taylor engines too.
Electric is a lot simpler, less messing around. I have the ELT basically an LT45 but Electric, I love it. But then when the batteries die fueling up a petrol is quicker and there's something about the noise that makes me want to keep running the petrol cars. But the power you get from an electric is crazy!
Very detailed, thank you for this video. Both still amazing but heart still on RF5
Thank you for watching! Hope it gave you some clarity over the two models!
Excellent detailed video
Thank you

@@thercstore. maybe the new taylor 35cc v2 engine with higher gears could be a perfect match👍

@@thercstore. thank you for quick answer
What’s the ground clearance on the RF5?
This would depend on how you have set up the suspension, oils used spring rate, and where the shock is positioned on the top and lower mounts.
I have two of both 👍
What's your thoughts on them?
We've yet to run them. Hopefully, it will be in the next week or so.
@@thercstore. I love them now that they are electric and very fast

Rf5 for me, I’d definitely need that roll cage 😂
Yeah! It's a nice touch 👌🏽
Pls compare D5 too
Can i put a rally body on my f5
Change of body post, and after purchasing a cage, the answer is yes!
The roven fx5
Thank you! This is the video I needed, because I want the rf5 but found a cheap f5 I can just convert to an rf5
