Been in this hobby 10 years now started with a Carson Comanche and now I’ve got a rovan baja 5b with that meany upgrades it’s not even a rovan anymore! Happy to see the real HPI baja is back and your videos are awesome!

I can't believe 10+ years ago I had four Bajas and eveb this exact pipe on my built up 5BV2. I wouldn't even know where to start if I got back into it.
I had an HPI car all-wheel drive back in 1997, I believe, it had a Alfa Romeo body style. I had a good bit of money into that car. I've had it up to 60 + mph.

Oh the smell of racing fuel reminds me of 1992-93 I got a traxx 1/8th scale from my buddy up in Washington state oh good times man for sure but only 18-19yrs old I could barely afford the hobby shop every weekend for parts n accessories etc! That was our groups fav saying: back to the hobby shop!! 😝 rite on man this games come along long ways in 30yrs! Wow

Sounds great with that expansion pipe. Many years ago i worked for a company that cleared out foreclosure houses and i FOUND a badass AWD kyosho buggie with 2 gal of fuel and a toolbox with all kinds goodies [and a shitty little high point .380 pistol].. i heated up that glowplug and goddamnit she fired up 2nd pull!! I had lucked out bigtime.. i had so much goddamn fun with that thing until while drifting around a parkin lot for probably 2hrs straight, so after i melted a set of tires i changed em out and youd think id b smart enough being a lifetime mechanic and street racer of almost every style and drivetran layout there is to know that with different and new tires its not gunna act like i just was and while sliding in a nasty all wheel drift it hooked up and SMASHED into a curb so hard it was instantly destroyed parts were EVERYWHERE and my heart was broken.. i was gunna salvage what i could and build something else cause the engine still ran awesome but then some dirtbag stole it from my shop.. id love to get another one someday.. superfun BUT these days id probably get electric

It's quite easy. just grab a tire marker off amazon. The one i used was the chuir 3 pack tire paint men marker.

This is believe it or not, because it is such a blast to drive, it starts within the first 1 to 3 pulls (My baja does anyway) and it has yet to fail me.
totally! first or second pull. it'll run even if it's tuned wrong haha! And 45 min tanks can't be beat!

Hey guys, is HPI back in business again. There was a period where I found it extremely hard to find spares here in Australia, and shops told me that they'd gone bust
well they kind of did. a new owner has taken over and is release the old models again. And will start evolving the brand again soon.
