I'm beginning to notice that the Catch skull makes this a lot easier than if it were off, by that I mean that the Elites give you a lot of free assassination opportunities because of how busy they are throwing grenades. I would like to see someone try Mythic minus the Catch skull and then see how hard it is in comparison to this.
Took a couple of goes but eventually I got it, I used this for the Dawn LLASO challenge this week on waypoint. Would never have done it without you, I found out a lot more than I previously knew when playing through it by myself. Thanks man.
All of them. You have to complete all campaign levels on LASO/Mythic, and input the code in the classified section on Halo Waypoint to receive the 50,000xp and the emblem.
Rant incoming from a drunk Tyrant. Just to put it out there, the comments I am about to make have nothing to do with Eli's videos. I have great respect for the man and greatly enjoy his content (hence why a link to his channel is on my homepage!). Folks often seem to blur the lines between walkthroughs & guides versus Let's Plays and videos based more-so around entertainment. The former assumes that the player is around average or below when it comes to the game in question.
Looking forward to the rest of your mythic walkthrough for Halo 4. I like RC Master's videos but I find it fascinating to compare and contrast your approaches. Both in playstyle and in video presentation.
Dude, that is spot on! (that's what she said) I think Eli believes we are all pros. I'm good but not that good. This video makes more sense for me to even try LASO
Well technically I believe he got the "Shutdown Shortcut from us (the Mythic Community) :) I stand by the statement that I greatly enjoy watching his videos for the entertainment value and the awesome commentary, but even the folks from the Mythic Community--the best campaigners in the world--have a great deal of trouble replicating his tactics.
awesome video. this helped me a lot, well i only needed the last part because of those 3 elites but that outer route their was really helpful so thanks
But since we're on the topic, I did enjoy Anniversary quite a bit, I still prefer the original, but I never played the original on Xbox, as I have a 4GB Xbox 360. So Anniversary was a dream come true for me, while I was not sattisfied with the skulls in HCEA, I did enjoy the 4 player co-op and the achievement hunting very much.
It's going to take a bit of practice, and it gets worse with the Knights, so take it while you can. I usually just rush in as they toss a grenade. As long as you have at least some shields left, you should be able to win a melee battle against the Elites :)
Who's gonna know but you? :) I don't simply because I've been playing with Blind for 5 years, so I've learned where to shoot through lots of practice :)
I kind of did that with the 3rd elite after I managed to assassinate the first two (that felt soooo good!!) I was banking on the door closing behind me for the airlock sequence, and hoping he wouldn't follow me and blast me to bits whilst trapped!!
Oh man. I am SO glad you're doing this guide. I hate trying to follow Nak3d Eli's videos. Fun to watch but, honestly, pretty awful guides. "Just no-scope this jackal sniper from across the map while jet packing backwards through this softkill to glitch past the spawning so you can concussion rifle jump off a wraith to the end of the level. It's pretty easy, y'know; I finished this level in 5 minutes my first try." 3 hours of bad luck and raging later...
This is why they are seeking a "guide" in the first place. Obviously if someone has ungodly skills, they've taken the time to master the game and therefore have very little reason for guides of any sort. This is where I come in. Contrary to popular belief, I am an average player. I have next to no skill. I'm bad at the game, but good at knowing how the game works. This to me is the foundation of a good guide... making it so that evening the most casual players can meet their goal.
Awesome videos man they really have helped me with H4. I have finished all halos on legendary with no help, so I thought I would give mythic a go, but I simply cannot backsmack elites consistently enough to get through the way you do! It's so frustrating, what am i doing wrong? They always seem to be able to stay in front or to the side and I can't get their backs. It's making the three at the end impossible!
Yeah, I'm not that great a player and Eli's and RC's speed running guides pretty much saved my ass through all of Reach and Halo 4. They aren't that hard to pull off, with a little practice. Patience is key.
This is very, very true. I tried to follow Naked Eli's guides, but for regular players, they are just God-awful. His guides are for speedrunners. Tyrants are for people who just want to grind the mission.
Is there an easier way to handle the second elite after the first room? I keep dying because of being under fire from both the grunts and the elite and I end up getting meleed before getting a chance to melee.
I always trigger the assasination animation, which fucks things up for me. How do I avoid that ? On my run on "normal", the first time it never happened, or VERY RARELY, the animations. But I think never hmm. Now it's all the time :|
Do you have to be connected to xbox live while playing the campaign to get the emblem? I just finished the first mission, but my internet d/c'ed quite a few times in the middle of the game.
But you don't need godly skills to follow his guides correctly. All I'm saying is that there's no reason to bash Nak3d Eli's guides. That guy claimed his guides were awful, and that's a stupid statement because his guides are well organized and have helped a lot of people. Besides, if people would take the time to practice the tricks he does then they're not so difficult.
God damn , why do you gotta make it look so easy ?Anyhow , great video man. I tried doing this mission before you died to get a weekly... it.was.a.bitch.
The room with the three elites and load of grunts before the outside area is BY FAR the hardest, The sheer luck you need for the three elites is ridiculous, it also does not help that the checkpoint is before killing the grunts and jackals.. so boring over, and over and over and over...
Harambe You're actually trying to explain to me what the Iron skull does? the rules of Mythic difficulty are not dying... that has nothing to do with the Iron skull, it's an unofficial rule for Mythic...
So you're bashing Nak3d Eli's guides just because you're not skilled enough to handle the techniques he does? That doesn't make his GUIDES awful, that just makes YOU awful.
Awful guides, not awful videos. Sure, you don't need godly skills to follow his guides, but you need insane luck and I know he runs the levels A LOT before posting his best run. In my mind, a good guide should be something you could replicate reliably and repeatedly. Besides, it was meant to be a friendly ribbing of Eli's play style, not "bashing" it. Eli's a great guy.
im going to be starting a youtube gaming channel with some friends soon so could you possibly give us a shout out when we do start? it would help us out a lot. :)

If you're having trouble with the crouch jump at the end, just use the Elite's concussion rifle to launch you.
Ya I do it all the time in multiplayer
Took a couple of goes but eventually I got it, I used this for the Dawn LLASO challenge this week on waypoint. Would never have done it without you, I found out a lot more than I previously knew when playing through it by myself. Thanks man.
Man, I remember your Halo 3 guides. Good times!
All of them. You have to complete all campaign levels on LASO/Mythic, and input the code in the classified section on Halo Waypoint to receive the 50,000xp and the emblem.
thats what i thought. I did Halo 4 LASO with a dot on my screen and its so helpful on those critical shots.
Rant incoming from a drunk Tyrant. Just to put it out there, the comments I am about to make have nothing to do with Eli's videos. I have great respect for the man and greatly enjoy his content (hence why a link to his channel is on my homepage!). Best thing you can do is just tap the melee button. There's a very small margin of error here, but it works 99% of the time :)
Look on the bright side. You have nothing trying to kill you during the course of the "trick jumps" so you can take all the time you need :)
Looking forward to the rest of your mythic walkthrough for Halo 4. I like RC Master's videos but I find it fascinating to compare and contrast your approaches. Both in playstyle and in video presentation.
I just found out what LASO stands for L-legendary A-all S-skulls O- on
GREAT JOB YOU WIN A COOKIE :D
Dude, that is spot on! (that's what she said) I think Eli believes we are all pros. I'm good but not that good. This video makes more sense for me to even try LASO

Eventually. Halo 4 takes priority right now :)
awesome video. this helped me a lot, well i only needed the last part because of those 3 elites but that outer route their was really helpful so thanks

Put a piece of duct tape on the TV so you get a crosshair lol
lol smart
If you want to get fancy, you can tape a led bulb to a battery, and tape that to the screen...
MidnightDawn emoji stickers work perfectly XDD!DD
Who's gonna know but you? :) I don't simply because I've been playing with Blind for 5 years, so I've learned where to shoot through lots of practice :)

love how the non existant boxs magically appear and knock you out the airlock...
the low ammo is from the Famine skull. Weapons drop with half ammo.
On screen I didn't have a problem seeing them, but unfortunately the capture device tends to darken it a bit. Have fun!

Tyrant: and you get a shiny new LASO emblem! Cortana: Wouldn't bet on it. - I lol'd so hard
amazing vid got 4 levels on this challenge
brilliant assassination technique
Awesome videos man they really have helped me with H4. I have finished all halos on legendary with no help, so I thought I would give mythic a go, but I simply cannot backsmack elites consistently enough to get through the way you do! Great vid !
Mythic just means you can't use the Save and Quit trick.
@10:50, there's a plasma pistol in that room that has 100%, even with famine skull activated. You didn't grab it tho. :(
But then don't even get me started on the jump up to the missile controls! About an hour I kept falling, doing Tyrants way and RCs!!
Thanks for the video! That must have taken a few goes. On the the LASO "campaign" can you press pause and still get the rewards???
Must feel good to beat LASO without cheesing Iron and Blind
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH MAN!!
u died in halo 5 jul
In mythic you don't do the save and exit trick or die.
Massive skill
Why try to melee every elite? I get that black eye is on and u need shields but once u fill up shields isnr it more efficient to try not getting hit?
This is so frustrating! Whenever I try to backsmack an Elite, he doesn't die. Then him and his Grunt buddies pepper me with their plasma weapons.
Im gonna start bawling... ITS so hard..FRUSTRATED right now... IDK if ill ever get it :'(
What about anniversary mythic?
I know some are not possible with grunt funeral but its a pre-order skull.
4:00 How do you avoid being pulled into the assasination animation?
This is very, very true. I tried to follow Naked Eli's guides, but for regular players, they are just God-awful. His guides are for speedrunners. Tyrants are for people who just want to grind the mission.
I don't believe I said anything regarding Halo CEA.
What's the difference between LASO and Mythic difficulty
Is there an easier way to handle the second elite after the first room? I keep dying because of being under fire from both the grunts and the elite and I end up getting meleed before getting a chance to melee.
I always trigger the assasination animation, which fucks things up for me. How do I avoid that ? On my run on "normal", the first time it never happened, or VERY RARELY, the animations. But I think never hmm. Now it's all the time :|
Wait, to get the Laso emblem we have to beat the entire campaign on laso?! Or just 1 mission?
so the challenge comes from exploiting game systems? running ahead before the enemy spawns?
Waypoint codes = legitmacy sabatoged.
@ Tyrant how many levels on LASO do you have to complete to unlock the LASO emblem
Man... Whenever I have to use the Blind Skull, I always want to put a dot on my TV so that I always know where the center of the screen is >_>
I don't start the mission with a pistol, tyrant, take that into consideration next time you make another guide.
If you weren't deaf you would have heard him say there is a pistol outside the cyro chamber
Do you have to be connected to xbox live while playing the campaign to get the emblem? I just finished the first mission, but my internet d/c'ed quite a few times in the middle of the game.
it would be cool if blind removed reticule and all of the hud but allowed you to see the gun
Remy Catinchi just press back on 360, or view on XBone...
RC, I'm a shamed of you, brother. Did you listen to the whole commentary or only bits and pieces? :-P What did I say AFTER that? :)
Personally I don't count it as cheating. Me and my friend tried doing it for Halo 3 and Reach with Blind on and it wasn't fully accurate.
I thought LASO excluded the blind skull.
Why's tyrant using it in his walkthroughs then?
Tyrant, do you count putting a dot where your reticle is, for blind, cheating?
well but when I die I save and exit and I dont need to do that again
just click the button dont hold it
It just has to be all Co-op or all solo
@15:55 You ALMOST got through a walkthrough without sexual innuendo. Almost!
:)
But you don't need godly skills to follow his guides correctly. All I'm saying is that there's no reason to bash Nak3d Eli's guides. You do
God damn , why do you gotta make it look so easy ?Anyhow , great video man.
I tried doing this mission before you died to get a weekly... it.was.a.bitch.
I can't make the jumps!! This is so frustrating!!!!!
The room with the three elites and load of grunts before the outside area is BY FAR the hardest, The sheer luck you need for the three elites is ridiculous, it also does not help that the checkpoint is before killing the grunts and jackals.. so boring over, and over and over and over...
For some reason my score is rapidly decreasing...
*even
does anyone know if you get the emblem if you do it co-op?
Easy why to kill second elite plasma shields then shoot in head with the pistol try
Nice
Says it only takes two Plasma Pistols to down an Elites shields
*Uses 4 Plasma Pistols*
WTF dude? 0.o
@1:45 HAH! Not even close.
Smurfxhalo4x. Mythic I'd love to play spartan ops with u guys I watch all your videos and love them.
In mythic u are forced to not ie
good
nice
elevator not airlock
Can someone explain to me what mythic difficulty is
A$AP BiSHOP It's just Legendary with all Skulls on. It's just another name for LASO
***** And no glitches, or deaths in Co-op
+FQX no, the iron skull causes deaths in co-op results in going to the last checkpoint...
Harambe You're actually trying to explain to me what the Iron skull does? the rules of Mythic difficulty are not dying... that has nothing to do with the Iron skull, it's an unofficial rule for Mythic...
+FQX but, then shouldn't have he rule be if you die in a mission on single player, you restart the game?
I just run past the third elite
So you're bashing Nak3d Eli's guides just because you're not skilled enough to handle the techniques he does? That doesn't make his GUIDES awful, that just makes YOU awful.
sup richard
You now somethang all the videos are laso he did not beat any on mythic
LASO is Mythic.
Ok
How the fuck is it that soft Mythic (TL, Thunder, Tilt and Mythic) is harder than hard Mythic?
The reason it has 100% is cuz it's scripted there
Awful guides, not awful videos.
Not on my watch! :)
you never will lol
halo anniversary was nothing compared to the original halo
if anyone wants to do this co-op then msg me on xbl SND Tagman.
im going to be starting a youtube gaming channel with some friends soon so could you possibly give us a shout out when we do start? it would help us out a lot. :)
