How to Leverage Waypoint Missions for Public Safety with the DJI Matrice 30T

- In this video, Mike Sember, a South Florida firefighter, demonstrates how to run a Waypoint mission with the DJI Matrice 30T. An excellent tool for first responders, police officers, and firefighters in long-duration events, this feature can help take the effort off the pilot in command and let the drone do the work.
This is a great option for long-lasting fires, a HazMat situation, or surveillance operations. Mike flies over a housing complex and explains how to set a Waypoint from end-to-end and keep those eyes in the sky for command crews in case one of the houses is caught on fire. Watch to learn more.

LOVE THE CHANNEL
Thank you for watching!
Although it's not as user-friendly as the Mavic Series Spotlight 2.0, and Point of Interest 3.0, have you tried a 4 waypoint setup and drag the POI locator in the middle? Just set the Yaw to POI and the flight to curved and you pretty much have a 360 around an area.
Good idea!
Great video. How can you pause and resume mission without being prompted to resume at break or at start?
The prompt is a safety measure, so we don't recommend bypassing it. Happy flying!
Have you found a way to manually add a POI, and then have the drone fly to that? i.e., you have a last known lat/long of a subject and you want the drone to go there, how would you manually enter a lat/long and have the drone fly to it?
This can be done in Flight Hub 2 however FH2 doesn't allow for Lat / Long inputs directly. What you want to do is use Google Maps to generate a waypoint .KML file. You can then import that into FH2 and achieve your goal. Obviously you will need to select altitude parameters in FH2. Hope this helps!
I would like dji to add a repeate option so it can repeatedly do it again again till you are ready to stop the mission
I agree
Agreed!
