- Inside Taliban-Controlled Afghanistan 🇦🇫 Since I started to travel and explore Asia, Afghanistan has always been my dream country. The movies I have watched and the books I have read about Afghanistan have built dreamy expectations in my head of the country that I would not be able to experience anywhere else.
My visit did not disappoint - Afghanistan was time travel from bustling & unorganized bazaars, street shaves, same clothing in different colors, no brands, magnificent landscapes, and the bravest people with the biggest hearts of hospitality.
In my trip, we covered Mazar-i-Sharif, Kabul & Bamyan.
Visiting Afghanistan is a sensitive topic for many people. As in any country I go to, the main objective is to share the day-to-day life and spotlight the ordinary people that the mass media fail to capture. No matter how you feel about my trip, here is my summary.
Despite facing significant challenges, Afghanistan has many positive aspects that deserve recognition: diverse landscapes, rich history, warm hospitality, delicious cuisine, resilient people, and more!
Safety:
This was the biggest concern of many people I have talked to, and naturally, that has been the main worry when you enter a war-torn country over the last 40 years. With the takeover of the Taliban, the country is much safer than before; at least no conflicts are going on.
My Persian surname, which is the same as the current supreme leader of the Taliban, my cultural background, being a man with a +3 years long beard, and looking like one of the locals do not qualify me to talk about safety much when it comes to being a tourist. I had a significant advantage, considering the above.
Disclaimer: This is not a travel advisory. Afghanistan has a government that has not been recognized by any country, with no embassies and international relations. I am a professional traveler who explored the country with an organized guide.

My perception of Afghanistan as shown by western media as a war torn country with no foods and Afghans are violent poor starving, opium addicts people because of poppies farm changed because of your vlog. There's lots of food stalls, fresh fruits,vegetables, with colorful clothes stalls and most of all they are good and kind people, generous too. Even the Talibans are approachable and accommodating. More power to your channel, from the Philippines.

I am already missed Mazara sharif. Holding your hand with a camera while going around inside Kabul is not that simple. First it shows the confidence of our brother Davud. Second it shows how the Taliban managed to restore the order . As i can see Afghanistan is no longer a no go area , I hope many foreigners will follow the same path of Davud and will dare to visit Afghanistan in the near future. Insha Allah .

Yes, by imprisoning people, depriving them of their basic rights, freedoms and liberties, and oppressing and cracking down on them, you can easily restore order. When you leave people like dead bodies, you don't expect them to rise up, live and cheer the life. They are now the subjects and slaves of this regime, obedience and adherence to a tyrant and despotic rule what makes today's Afghanistan.
@@maxmorris4562They brought back Sharia law which punishes crime harshly which has brought law and order. For instance if you steal comment theft or robbery you lose your hand now how many people do you think would want steal and rob with a punishment like that.

It reminds me of my country iraq. the people, the place and the food are giving me flashbacks to my time in iraq. I wish one day i could visit afghanistan. Our countries may be considered as uncivilized and 3rd world countries by the west but from my experience this is better. Nowadays in the west and in U.S.A specifically the people are having identity and freedom crisis. They are miss using their freedom and the red line between what is right and what is wrong has been erased, of course not all of them, there are still good people among them. Sometimes being less modern is better. Good thing to see afghanistan beautiful again, wait for me insha allah i will pray in the blue mosque.

It was nice to see the bazaar in Kabul, with its bird market, hot and delicious cooked meat and it appears well stocked and brimming with energy. Very crowded with loving people.

Watching from Long Beach, California. Gorgeous video and imagery. This is adequate imagery -- as Werner Herzog would put it -- for TH-cam. Breaking conceptions and notions in the West that the Taliban doesn't have it's people in mind, especially in a previous video describing how they are trying to fuse a one river with the Kabul River to stop the stagnant dirty river. The biggest take away is the look in everyone's eyes. Unblinded by consumerism. The West could learn a thing or two about living in reality, rather than reality tv.

Davud, you might have thought that you have freed the pigeon; however, maybe, they have been living in that cage for months. Given that, even if you let them free--in some cases from miles away--they will come back to that shop. That is how they are raised, and pigeons usually once domesticated, don't fly away.
