Videos like this are hard to watch. Because of the narration, you become attached to the animals featured. So its heartbreaking when you know that its highly likely he will be killed. I wish that they would intervene sometimes and reunite cubs when they get lost. I understand that you have to allow nature to take its course,and interference is unnatural, but sometimes nature needs a helping hand.
I've always hated this stupid rule of "you're not supposed to intervene, let nature do its part". Like get outta here. We've already doomed this entire planet. So many species nowadays face extinction because of us and now you're telling me we aren't supposed to help in what little ways we can? No, I don't understand this logic.
Don't watch it and upset yourself then. Consider how many lions, cubs, and other animals that Spotty will kill in his life. He becomes an adult male, he takes over a pride, kills a handful of cubs - will you still be angry "why didn't they intervene?" then? What about how many male lions will get into battles to the death - should they intervene then? ( that's not a question meant to be answered; the answer is obviously no, there is nothing you can do to stop two or more lions from fighting ) The people recording have their hearts broken and attached too. It isn't as black and white as you're making it out to be. Being human and present isn't the cure all.
You know that if a human touches the cub then it leaves an smell on them and if the cubs mother or pride detect that smell then they abandon the cub. So, it's important not to intervene first learn how things work then give your expert opinion. Simply saying anything without any research is what ignorant people do like you dumba$$
