Certainly possible, like everything in Muay Thai there is a risk / a counter available. If this sweep is done at full speed it would be less likely to happen (this video is slow for demo reasons) 🙏
I'm not sure what a trust kick is? Also an intentional kick to the groin is a foul... Switching arm position to open up the scissor option for leg one way & arm the other for an effective sweep. (There is many different ways to sweep in Muay Thai, this is just one option) 🙏
@Simplecoaching not a "trust" kick, a "thrust" kick, which is what it has always been called to me; it's where you kick straight out, striking with the whole bottom of the foot. It's a slower, but more powerful kick, kinda like a palm strike with your leg.
My mistake, sorry I missed out the H in my reply... I've personally never heard the term thrust kick, but that's not to say it isn't a thing. This type of sweep is just one of many options available, but this sweep offers less chance of shin on shin or foot on shin contact which can cause damage to your own limbs... This way it's your hard shin on the softer part of the calf
When u change arm, you open up a front kick to the chest tho, but you do have the hips back, so it should give you the stability, great stuff

@@Simplecoaching yes I agree :)
You catch the leg then give them a front thrust kick to the chest, or a front snap kick to the groin. Switching legs and all that just for a sweep?

@@Simplecoaching not knowing the name of a basic kick is a red flag.
Lol okay 🤦... Telling me to intentionally kick someone in the groin which is a foul is a red flag 😂
