If you go with an antenna for local channels how do you watch them on tv do you put the input on channels or hdmi or will it automatically work once the antenna is hooked up
Your tv needs to have a tuner or is not going to have the connection for the antenna. Some tv models do not have the tuner and on the box it says screen, not tv.

When I checked Paramount plus you could not get live tv for 4.99 a month. You have to pay the 9.99 a month to get live now. Do you know something I missed?
I just bought the latest firesticks and signed up for hulu + live and it doesn't show up in the firestick live guide 'sync to source' menu. Posted this problem on amazon forum and amazon staff member responded that this feature isn't supported for hulu. I see it in your video. What am I (and amazon) missing?
As best I can tell, and correct me if I"m wrong, unlike Paramount + you can't stream the local NBC station live. This makes it somewhat less valuable IMHO.
@@flamejanes1865 I don’t know what the hell you’re talking about, I didn’t say anything about news. What I said was is you can’t stream your local NBC affiliate live. With Paramount+ you can stream your local CBS affiliate live.
I never personally used a Fire Tv or stick. But I recently bought a stick for my neighbor, and helped him set it up. The reason I got it for him was to share my rooftop antenna signal with him. So instead of running a physical cable all the way to his room, I instead bought him the fire stick and downloaded the HdHomeRun app on it, and since the stick is connected to the same home wifi network we both use, it gave him access to my HDHR tuner. So this is another way to get live channels on Fire TV that you didn't mention at all in this video. I'm now wondering if the HDHR channels can also be integrated into the Live TV guide? I'm gonna try it later maybe and see.

I'm not sure if it's mentioned in this video, but if you install a rooftop antenna can you feed the signal from the antenna through the same coaxial cable that is going to your home internet router? And if you can, I suppose you need to use a splitter to bring the signal to the antenna input of the TV.
It would have been alot more helpful; (instead of showing through most of the video what movies or stations a person can receive) if you had shown play by play; or more detailed on how to use, and set-up the fire TV.
This video is exactly what I was looking for. I want to simplify television viewing for my elderly mother and was curious as to what type of live tv choices she could use. She prefers live tv but I’m more familiar with standard streaming. For a step by step guide HOW to do it, that’s would be a separate video. Not very accurate if your Canadian. Add a disclaimer! All of the apps mentioned are blocked by Amazon in Canada. Although I have a Livetv button it is not included in settings and therefore is not customizable. Using a VPN routed through the US gets you nowhere. We are blocked from Pluto, imdbtv, Roku channel, PBS has no US networks. Virtually all US streaming app are blocked from Canadian users!

Between sideloading a lot of the apps not available from Amazon, getting my VPN working with the firestick and creating a fake Amazon US account I get everything that I could possibly watch except live US channels, I can get some them but each time I choose to watch them it takes a lot of steps and I guess I am to lazy to be bothered! I use the Firestick to watch my Bell Satellite TV on the Fibe TV app, this gets me past when ever the weather prevents Satellite signal and it is in better resolution (1080P). Still it to is missing all the use networks.
I turn a streaming channel on for my cat every day before I leave the house. The channel is the PBD Kids Channel program, "Dinosaur Train." For over one year, the "Dinosaur Train" would play continuously, no problem. NOW...this program, through the PBS Kids Channel AND through my Amazon Prime membership, both streaming options ONLY ALLOW 3 EPISODES TO PLAY AND THEN STOPS!!! The PBS and Amazon Prime BOTH close the program and my HDTV goes off! Is there ANYTHING that I can do about this...or is this the way the two sources operate nowadays please? I have a Firestick and here in England I have included "HAYSTACK" and most US channels, I have got (FREE), Fox 11 (LA), WSAV (Savannah), WXYZ (Detroit) , WKBW (Buffalo).
I pay for the ad-free upgrade to almost every service/channel except for the $75+ all inclusive services. I only use on-demand/dvr, not live. There are still a ton of TV series that fall through the gaps because there is no service offering that show up to date on-demand. FX is a particularly hard channel. Hulu owns FX, but does not have many of the shows that TH-cam TV has under FX. I would also really love to have everything in one place. I tried ReelGood for this, but it doesn't open the apps on Firestick TV. I tend to habitually open certain apps and miss shows I would like from others I open less often.

I would suggest to everyone using using a firestick use a the internet connection rather than Wi-Fi ( now I know some people might not have broadband etc ) also plug the firestick in to the wall - power from the tv isn’t enough. Once this issues are sorted it’s generally software issues and you have illuminated certain faults.

Silicondust Homerun Flex. Im getting my local channels thru my Google Chromecast with Google TV. Also, with the Channels DVR, I have also added Xfinity' TV Everywhere and i get most of my Xfinity channels thru my Google without having to scramble for a different remote.

@@jmonkey1111 REAL-DEBRID... It's a paid service... 18 dollars for 6 months. Best money I ever spent. You get access to their private servers,you get better links and no buffering. Doesn't work with all apps... CinemaHD,media lounge, I believe beetv and some others.
As an early adopter of FireTV Recast, let me just warn you, buyer beware! Mine has been VERY unreliable and I've had lots of problems. Great concept, but they just never developed it and fixed the bugs . One recurring problem is it losing contact with your home network and it becomes a real job trying to get it to reconnect. Quite often I have to reset to faortry defaults and start over. It's NOT a reliable solution.
I agree with you using it wirelessly. I recently hard wired my firestick and my Fire Recast and have had a lot less problems with it staying connected. I think their wireless antennas stink compared to Roku's. I have never had a problem using Roku wirelessly compared to firestick.
@@pmjeterjr I basically gave up on mine and have just gone to DTV Stream and I don't even try anymore. I dropped Firestick and changed to Roku at the same time and I'm kicking myself for not doing that sooner. I don't know what Amazon was thinking with their last redesign of the Firestick interface, but it's a mess.

I would suggest not getting a fire recast since it seems Amazon doesn't plan on continuing to make it much longer and some people have issues with them. I'd recommend an HDHOMERUN tuner

OlaTV, I dont think creators are allowed to talk about streaming services like this anymore but they are the best. All the premium movie channels, every local channel, no matter where you live in the US and tv stations from many countries including the Philippines.

Nah, cant use one cable for two different things.
No can do. Different signal and frequencies. Off air frequencies have to converted.

The FRNDLY TV app has about 30 livetv channels for 8.99 a month. I like that it has THE WEATHER CHANNEL, A&E, HISTORY ECT.🙂

OlaTV, I dont think creators are allowed to talk about streaming services like this anymore but they are the best. All the premium movie channels, every local channel, no matter where you live in the US and tv stations from many countries including the Philippines.
I have more channels in firestick than my cable and it’s free!😂😂😂
