Hate to admit I just recently discovered this guy. Mesmerizing! Although very different; his sparse, dynamic style very much reminds of Bill Frisell. Great stuff.
That's what I was thinking , a "young Rye Cooder , and a little bit Bill Frizell -ish but still himself . just discovered him , not dissapointed At All.
Thinline body.. Single coil pickups.. How the hell did he manage to not go on crazy+uncontrolable feedback noise ???? I have some ideas but not quite convinced yet ..
TOBIAS HOFFMAN" ONE OF THE GREATEST EVER!!🎯💯
A perfect distillation of 70 odd years of Electric Guitar, that’s how I view Tobias Hoffman
accurate viewpoint!

Great stuff.
one of the greatest in my humble opinion
It's true
I told a friend about him and he said "Well, I like Julian Lage". His loss!!! Tobias is the real deal.
He is phenomenal
@@haysfordays Why can't he like both?? They both are awesome in different ways.
@@TheDeuceIsLoose1 nope . You HAVE to commit. Haha. To be honest, he wasn't phrasing it that way. Just ticked me off. But you are right.
Besides Tom Bukovac he is the player I enjoy the most listening to lately.
so soulful.
@tobiashoffman the best guitarman in the world 🎸🎵❤️ big hug from Brasil 🇧🇷
Agreed! Watching here in the UK and this guy is the best. Kind of crazy in this video, especially the detuning thing at 11:00 but I'll forgive him!
@@samsamtheguitarman Tobias Hoffman can play out of tune, after all he is a master and we love his playing style! He is incredible !
Always beautiful and fresh or original. Tobias you have impeccable touch and note choice. I would love to see a duel between you and Michael Lemmo.
spoonful... nice
This is pure magic.
TOBIAS!!!! YOU ARE AMAZING!!!
Wow, amazing how one solo artist creates such an atmosphere
I love it when Tobias goes mental ❤️❤️❤️
Wonderful touch...❤
how does this gentlemen never hit a bad note?
If you listen closely, you can hear his brain thinking
Since discovering him 2 weeks ago I haven't heard one yet, suspect he may have sold his soul to the Devil.
Oh hang on, 09:16?
Wow he did that blues right, holy smokes!
Großartig
Awesome , very Ry Cooderish

Wow. Dark was the Night, Cold was the Ground reminded me of Marc Ribot’s version. I wonder if Tobias is a Ribot fan.
I'm pretty sure he is ;-)
I have seen him say elsewhere Ribot is a big influence.
So gooooooooooood
Brilliant
Brilliant …
instantly wants me play...
Yes!!!
What guitar is he using?
Hey its the guitar player from Vintage Guitar Oldenburg
!
with almost 400 demos just like this one as of 3/2022. Amazing.
The master
Ummm…. Whaaaat?! 🤯
What type of guitar is that? Looks super cool.
A thinline at that!!!!!!😯😯😯
50th anniversary thinline. MIJ 2012. I’ve got one in black.
Thank you @Collin. Was so busy listening the that bonding and F hole caught my attention and wow.. what a beaut.
Thinline body..
Single coil pickups..
How the hell did he manage to not go on crazy+uncontrolable feedback noise ????
I have some ideas but not quite convinced yet ..
Plenty of wrong notes, but they are on purpose. And in the middle of a wonderful cacophony of wrong notes, he goes in to tune.
