In my clg teacher took deviation so that sum of square of [1] becomes 0....
Is it necessary to take deviation...?
Will we get different answers from both method...?

By definition it is possible to change the origin (by subtracting any observation from each observation) but i recommend to directly solve the question.

The df of error is wrong it will be the df of TSS-SST. Also calculation of SST is wrong.
