I literally just came back to Canada last night after 3 weeks in England including 2days in Grimsby/Cleethorpes. I hadnt been back to my hometown in 30 years. It was upsetting to see what had happened to freeman street but i saw lots of hopeful signs in the top town . Cleethorpes also looked good to me. I took the bus out to waltham which also still looked very nice. My heart strings were definitely pulled. I love this area so much. Thanks for the video. Looking forward to more.
@@iexploresthanks so much for your videos. I'm Grimsby born n bread and have lived down south for over 20 years and haven't been back much since my parents moved out of town. I have so many fond childhood memories. Grimsby may not be the place it once was but with its rich history and heritage and proud to call myself a Grimmy!
Really love your videos mate . I’m hoping to move up here from London in a year or so as fellow in love with cleethorpes and Grimsby. Keep up great filming very helpful for me ❤Ty
Last visit to Grimsby was in 2016 for my mums funeral. Seems to have changed quite a bit since. My better memories are from the 80s, hey ho..... Nice video 😊
Back in the day when I was a teen sometimes on Christmas day I'd walk around Grimsby, it is strange and very peaceful doing that, I'd often go up to old clee usually by car lane because it was so quiet then I'd head down top town and then to freemo before going home for Christmas dinner and Morcombe and Wise Christmas special plus the other Christmas shows, good old days
Thanks for watching much appreciated yes m&w staple very Christmas many others I look forward every since to Dr Who. Christmas special back then just 3 channels know count less as we have streaming. Thanks again happy new year
Compliments of the season Ian. Enjoyed this years input even though most of it is a distant memory. Is the pasture street crossing where the footbridge used to be?. Heaving with people in the old days.
Cassablanca! Played there a few tines with the Rumble Band (keyboards) including the gig when Ben E. King was there and I accidentally made him think I was blackmailing him...
Don't move here mate - whole town is a sh!t hole !!! If you do want to make the move - then go to the outskirts of GY Much better but housing more expensive.
I can't understand why they moved the bus station from the centre of town now all the buses go past the only decent building in the town thats the town hall won't be long before its structurally unsafe and bites the dust with the rest of old grimsby 🤔

I am looking to move to Grimsby soon, but it seems everywhere is closed up. looks very depressing. Is Weelsby Street an okay area?
Yes I live next to weelsby Street very cheap houses. Area where I'm is ok. 15min walk to town.
No, Weelsby Street is not ok! The whole town is a dump.
Don't move here mate - whole town is a sh!t hole !!!
