Liverpool fan here and also like the hammers. Jumped of the sofa the night JB scored to win the cup. The premier league is now used not just to make fat cats millions, but it is also being used to promote methods of social control. I seen on a billboard at the side of the pitch the other day watching the charity shield (not the community shield, I refuse to change my language for them) saying REPORT ANTI SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR, KEEP FOOTBALL CLEAN. What they REALLY mean by that is, anything that promotes being English or British. They don't want old school supporters at the games anymore, they know the power that football has and want to control that. George Orwell said "Anyone who challenges the prevailing orthodoxy finds himself silenced with surprising effectiveness. A genuinely unfashionable opinion is almost never given a fair hearing.

Expect the football authorities to up the ante in the new anti-British working class policy being trialed by this government at this time, football offers them the perfect opportunity to impose their dictatorial measures. Fans need to be aware of this and use their nous to come together, put club affiliations aside when necessary and not comply with those either wanting to remove them or turn them into honorary woke middle-class types

Nicky, from one West Ham fan with children to another, the treatment of the proper, hard core support has been nothing short of abominable! And it's all very well shunting an 80 year old grandad up to where I sit (Block 203, Row 73. There is nobody who is still in the stadium behind me!)
But what happens when said Grandad has a medical emergency? I was @ The Oval watching The Hundred yesterday. I was in Row 5 & an elderly gentleman behind me in Row 6 has an episode related to the searing heat. Dealing with him in Row 6 was quite problematic. What would happen if he was in London Stadium sat next to me in the nosebleed seats? He'd very likely be bang in bother, to say the least!
And as for the notion of us "customers" being able to be replaced by some Middle Class Giles & Pippa from Pimlico with their kids, Hugo & Tabitha. That's all well & good but the atmosphere will degenerate further from where it currently is (Surface of the moon, would be a good description!).
And, God forbid, should we get relegated! Do you think Giles, Pippa, Hugo & Tabitha will be interested in rocking up to London Stadium on a Tuesday night in mid November in the freezing cold, p1551ing down rain whilst we play mighty Doncaster Rovers? No, they'll be off eating tofu & drinking mineral water at their local bistro instead before heading home on their vegan friendly bicycles!
Keep raising the awareness, Nicky. I am genuinely shocked at how may people are totally in the dark over this. Thanks for your efforts for the generation past & the generations yet to be.
(P.S: Last time I checked, peaceful protests were totally legal. Or are we now living in Downtown Pyongyang?!)

For the first time in my 52 years of following West Ham both home and away, I’m strongly considering not renewing my season ticket for the 25-26 season. This is the season when I qualify for the 66 years of age concession, which will be taken away from me unless I acquiesce to being shoved up the back in bands five and six (currently I’m in band one.) Like many others of my generation, I have spent an absolute fortune while blindly and loyally following the club, even after our various relegations over the decades.

It´s a disgrace. I´m 16 years old and I´m living in Germany so I haven´t had many chances to see West Ham games and therefore never had a season ticket. But what is going on at our massive club or in the premier league in general is disgusting. Is that where we are going? They don´t care about the families that have been fans and season ticket holders for generations. All they see is money and "the show". It´s quite clear that they want to bring in fans, who come to the games to see the show, the phenomenon football, not the actual club or team. It´s ridiculous. In a few years time there won´t be to many games in England either. One game in the US, one game in Saudi Arabia or maybe even on the moon? The league, the clubs only see more profit.

As a ST holder at Brentford, another family club, this policy totally repulses me. We were discussing West Ham's poor concession prices for visiting fans last season (£25 for under 18s, only £5 less than the adult capped price) on the forum. This coming up has added another dimension to the conversation. Its particularly despicable that West Ham are making so much of having the cheapest kids season tickets in the PL without mentioning you need binoculars to watch the match. Best of luck in what you are doing to bring awareness, you're fighting the good fight for all genuine football supporting families.

Didn’t renew this year and had a bit of a heavy heart at the time. Since the concession stuff happened not so long after, I actually now feel great about it. With what’s happening, the very thought of handing over such a large sum of my hard-earned to this current regime now repulses me, even though this wasn’t the initial reason for me not renewing. I’d like to renew again in the future and maybe I will. But maybe not, maybe this is the future. If so then I’m happy to remain a relic of the past and will just attend as and when suits me.

We yelled at stewards for medical assistance, did nothing, we got more agitated yelling, get us an f’ing medic, 5 minutes later, more stewards arrived because they fought we were causing trouble. Completely the opposite, just trying to get someone medical assistance. Medic eventually arrive 19 minutes later. Glad it wasn’t anything more serious.

Especially James Christopher who was the old manager (Everton supporter). It doesn’t matter, they all follow the narrative and generally don’t care for us. I have had multiple complaints to supporters hub, club shop, HR & wrote to the club. They don’t care about our problems. so many good West Ham workers got sacked for personal things, even things they ain’t even worth a conversation. What really annoys me about this is he's saving a FORTUNE by the deal Brady got with the stadium, but Sullivan takes that for granted and once again takes no notice, doesn't consider the fans at all.
Sullivan needs to try sitting up in the top or ,spending ages going through the stop and go queues, look at the prices of food and drink, and all the things regular fans go through, and then have a serious discussion with himself about how he can justify price rises.
But he probably lies to himself, he's lied us plenty since taking over, he's broken promises he always makes excuses he never apologises bc he doesn't give a crap.

Unfortunately with premier league football, is for every fan turning their back after being priced out, is another person with the readies willing to pay the new price.

Agree with everything that been said but one more thing. I moved to London from Scotland 4 years ago for work and started going to football locally. I bought a West Ham season ticket 3 years ago and still hold one. To be honest the reason I choose West Ham was that it was easiest to get my hands on. Admittedly it a band 1 ticket but got in after only being on the waiting list a couple of months. West Ham a well supported club but the situation not like at Arsenal were demand for tickets massively outstrips supply. West Ham need to be careful about alienating their match going fans or else they would find themselves struggling to fill the stadium.

Thank you Nick a major problem for us fans and the future. The whole set up from the move and their sale of the move to the fans. We can all see the the improvement in the squad but the unfortunate way the club want to go about raising their income at the future fans. Ken bates whilst Chelsea owner made a statement about the same sort of thing when he did away concessions there and he said if you can’t afford to bring your kids don’t come. Well this is right up with that without someone actually coming out and saying that. We must keep the information getting through to the unknowing of our fans and whatever it will take hopefully right people will know how to do it. Great piece⚒⚒⚒

I´m from overseas but don´t consider myself a tourist. Been a Hammer since 1993. Its not a tourist vs East-London thing. Its a "supply-demand" thing. If someone pays the ticket, they don´t care who you are. THATS the problem. They´re hurting the people who bleed claret n blue.

A very well measured response to the club's actions Nicky. I'm not sure my season ticket will be used much this season. Was so looking forward to seeing the new team. I'm not actually affected by it - I'm in the prime of life and my kids are all adults, but its the principle of the thing. It's a dumb move, that could have been avoided if they'd just thought a bit. Maybe losing David Gold has shifted the balance of the club a bit - he was keeping the 'Brady bunch' in line.

It's disgusting the way this football club treats its loyal supporters. We have won next to nothing for years baring the conference league, yet travel up and down the country every week, over land and sea and I'm sure many fans of other clubs, rivalries aside, will have a good word to say about our support, especially away. Sullivan and Brady has always took us for granted and I think this is the final straw for many people. It's such a sad state of affairs and one that I truly believe the club will one day live to regret, long after the lights have gone out for Sullivan and Brady.

Graham Taylor persuaded Watford’s board to have a family enclosure, the first in the world. This rapidly changed the ratio of men, women and children at all grounds in English football, as other clubs rolled out the same model.
Far more women and children in the attendance. Seating although a financial drain helped boost further.
Now it’s the norm, it’s a cash cow it seems.
Myself and my brother paid for our baby brother’s season tickets as they were so cheap for a child. Result a life long follower of lots of sports and his daughter was in the US Olympic squad for Gymnastics.

My boy is 2 months old and I was already planning to take him to a game as soon as I could (I jacked my ST in after the first season at the bowl as I just didn't enjoy the overall experience) However, it looks like my boy is now going to have to go watch another team for his first real football match if these money grabbers don't start respecting true fans instead of the typical tourist fans.
Football is unfortunately on it's way out ( especially in terms of supporting side of things). I'm just glad I got to experience the late 90s with my Dad, to get me to fall in love with the game. Feel sorry for my son and the next generation going forward.

Well said, Nicky. Good edit-fans will flock to lower league sides for peanuts. I’m furious that you essentially got the stadium for free… but you’ve filled it, and it’s a massive ground, even bigger than Newcastle’s. Your owner is taking the mick by not offering kid-friendly ticket prices-you’d have been better off staying at Upton Park. East London, much like West Ham itself, has been gentrified. They want the Cockney West Ham fans out, replacing them with middle-class Londoners who don’t know the first thing about pie and mash.
I’m not the biggest West Ham fan, but the media despise you and Millwall-they’re media snobs. £700 is extortionate for a junior ticket. This isn’t North Korea; the Olympic Park is public property. How dare they say you can’t film there? If you were a wealthy tourist, they wouldn’t care. You’re from Canning Town-it’s your local area, 2 stops on the train where you grew up. Who do they think they are 😂😂😂 Ok you got the stadium for next to nothing, but it would be a white elephant without WHUFC there
