the end of this video is so awesome, the little clever accents he uses with the cymbals and the kick drum. this is why chad is one of the greatest rock drummers out. his creativity, timing, and desire. he never gave up, and look where he is, drummer for breaking benjamin. rock on chad!
I personally think the genre is perfect for him.. He has an innate sense of groove and timing that really in my opinion makes a drummer better than the next. There style also changed quite a bit when he joined and it is quite obvious to any serious musician. A drummer of this caliber dictates the way a band sounds and he made breaking Benjamin 100 times better!
Yeh,an I think that just by coverin an watchin Chad's style of play,I hav increasd my skill way faster then some1 would normaly, stil alot of things I cant do,but his work has taught me how 2 use various unexpectd beats, how to spice up ur ride use by doin doubles an triplets instead if straight singles.Just so many things I can learn from him,an thats wanother reason why I think hes the best, he inspires so much diffrent techniques, Also I dont think Ive ever seen someone so fluent in parridles
yeh tru, infact most pro drummers can tune their drums exactly how they want them by theirselvs, they just hire drum tecs cause their lazy loljk, An yeh its tru evry musician rathr, has their own sound an touch that makes them different, but y I say that Chad an Neil r the best is cause they (i think) use their "touch and skill" more effectively then most drummers, more creatively, like Chad's bell pieces, those are amazing, but even if you can do them, can you incorporate them into a beat like he can?
yeh well he has a drum tech too so tuning is probably the best, but he is amazing an he is quite possibly the greatest drummer alive, besides Neil Peart but I mean of his peer generation of drummers
I know it's a year old but playing with a click track is not some simple thing you can just do. It can be quite difficult sometimes with a click track rather than playing without one so yes, he does have a good sense of timing :)

Chad and Breaking Benjamin, are one of my biggest musical influences.. Chad really inspires me with his style.

LOL 2:40 i found that rather funny

I don't think the genre in which breaking benjamin play lets Chad show his full potential. Anyway, cool grooves in most of their songs.
